On August 10, 2026, I ordered a taco salad. When I arrived home, I found the salad brown and wilted (see photos). I was going to do a Yelp review then but decided not to, thinking this may have just been a one-off incident. Today, August 31, 2026, I ordered through Wendy's app, 2 ten-piece nuggets and a taco salad for drive-thru pickup. I arrived at the store 15 minutes later and was told by the drive-thru window person (a younger Asian woman) to park at the front of the store and that my order would be brought to my car. Watching numerous cars being served and after waiting for almost 15 minutes, I walked into the store. As I approached the counter, the same young woman who told me to park, looked at me. I asked her how much longer my order was going to take, but she turned away and started to work on filling drinks, ignoring my question, and avoided looking in my direction. Instead of assisting me or asking another worker to help me, she simply turned away. A few seconds later, another worker approached me asking if I needed help. After explaining what was happening, she spoke to the first girl, who again didn't appear to be concerned and continued doing other things. At tis point, I flagged down the manager, Solo, and told him that I was still waiting for my order for now, almost 20 minutes. He checked the computer for my order and asked if I had already gotten the salad. I told him I hadn't received anything, so he began to fill my order. He apologized and told me I could get a free meal on my NEXT visit. Sadly, I told hm I didn't think I'd be visiting that store again. Checking my order when I returned to my car, I found a single box of twenty-piece nuggets instead of 2 ten-piece nuggets (the nuggets were for two people at different locations, so I had to divide them evenly, keeping 10 in the box and dumping 10 into a package. Instead of the taco salad, I got a Caesar salad. Frustrated and irritated, I decided against going back into the store and just kept the order. We've been long time repeat customer at this location (Waipio Store), but after going through this ordeal, I'll drive the extra miles and visit a different Wendy's. This Wendy's store lacks proper customer skills and serves subpar salads. I will also be sending this to Wendy's Corp through the app. read more

If I could zero stars, I would! WTF? Wendys?? I am surprised this location stays in business. We walked in at 4:37 P.M. on 3/7. Not busy at all. The store was clean from what I saw. Yes, I do have the receipt. There was a family at the kiosk, and no one in line. There were at least 5 younger adults there. I had a few glances but no acknowledgment. There were about 2-3 working the drive-thru. I stood for a hot minute and nothing. Anyone working the registers? "I am off shift!" "I don't know how to work that register!" Jesus, take the wheel because my husband wants me to use this coupon here. I get another employee looking straight at another older nana, but she was strictly - ain't my business and kept moving on. I get a younger teen who told me I will check with management. After what seems like forever, this young lady by the name of Kyra comes from the back with a cash till and apologizes to me. I said I guess you had to step up? She smiled! Kyra was pleasant and helpful. By that time, more customers came in. She handled it with grace. Mind you, she was by herself while others just hung back. While waiting for my order, I see a manager finally come to the front. Kyra tells me I'm sorry, I just dropped your nuggets! Kyra girl, not only had to take the customers' orders, etc and clear the line, but also had to go in the back to drop my nuggets. Wendy's count your day!!! We were in the Mililani area and couldn't decide where to have dinner, so we ended up here. The service was great. The food was great. The only thing was that this place was so cold. They probably crancked up the A/C, because they didn't want people just hanging out. They also had this cute lounge area with a fake fireplace. It's the first that I've seen in any Wendy's. We shared fries, chicken nuggets, chili, a hamburger, and two frosty thick milkshakes. Everything was actually really good. I love their chili and got it with rice. However, the ratio was a little off. There was a lot of rice and not enough chili. Their new Snickerdoodle Vanilla Frosty Fusion was to die for. You must try this if you get the chance. OMG, so good! We still had some frostys we were waiting for that they forgot about but as soon as they realized we were still waiting the other guy said can I get you anything else? And he quickly made the rest of our order. So many fast food places are no longer like this with good customer service so we were very grateful. I always use the Wendy's app for extra discounts plus you build points to redeem free food which is a big help these days with prices going up everywhere. I love their drink machine with all the flavor options to try! Don't expect gourmet meals; it's fast food after all, but it hits the spot when you want something quick. Every year I buy the Frosty keychain where you get a free junior Frosty with every visit, usually it's just their vanilla or chocolate flavor, still an awesome little savings bonus. We usually sit outside since it's super cold inside, but make sure to check the tables first; a couple of them had loose parts. They've got kiosks inside if you prefer ordering that way, and the app lets you stack multiple discounts if you make separate transactions. Also, keep an eye out for midweek coupons, they pop up once in a while which helps when you're on a budget. Taking off a couple of stars though -- the floor was sticky, a few tables were dirty, and they forgot one of my orders. Not a huge deal since I wasn't in a rush that night (we had company and were just relaxing), but still something to note. read more

We came to Wendy's Waipio for lunch and they were absolutely busy. We walked in and there was 2 people in line but they seemed like they were there for a while. While we were waiting in line there was 1 person working the front and he was doing his best to get us all our orders and in a timely manner. The counter person's name was Toby. He was awesome the way he took care of us the customers. He never lost his cool looked like he was in total control. He never got mad or upset about anything. He was amazing the way he handled everything by himself no matter. Toby deserves to be recognized and given a raise or better yet a promotion. I normally don't leave reviews, but the drive-thru service here was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. If I could give zero stars, I would. From the beginning, the person taking my order was rushing me, barely giving me time to finish speaking before cutting me off. When we pulled up to the window, they just took our payment and handed us our food--no "please wait," no receipt, no communication at all. Right away we noticed items were missing, so we stayed parked by the window trying to get someone's attention. After a while, an employee finally opened the window, and when we told them what was missing, they responded with a rude, dismissive "okay," like we were inconveniencing them. To make matters even worse, they tried to hand us someone else's credit card. The whole experience was careless, unprofessional, and honestly unacceptable. But then you get this that happened... The guy gives me my order and says something under his breath (not even loud and clear) and hangs out the window close to my car and stares at me. I asked him what he said and he mumbled again. I asked one more time as he is uncomfortably close and he says "is everything there?" Which is nice to ask. So I did a quick check and looked like it was there. I get home with the food. They over-salted my fries to the point it was inedible and gave me the wrong sauce I had asked for. The older one looked it up on line and told me what flavors were offered. We drove to Waipio and they said Two chocolates. I wanted to try one too and said 3 chocolates. When I pulled up to the window to pick up my food. Instead of being greeted, I was just told "I need your coupon." I asked if I could tap to pay when given the total and I was given more attitude. Terrible experience! I usually don't leave reviews for fast food restaurants but this one needed to be done. Online order was fine but still pricey for fast food. Expected to be ready at 7:45pm but when we arrived shortly after it was still not ready. Walked in and was not greeted at all. Girl working the window was handling cash and grabbing food and putting in bags. Women who was taking the trash out came back in and asked if we've been helped and quickly got to it...even though girl at window maybe had one drive through order. Figured because we were waiting for fresh food, I was wrong. It was all nasty stale fries, nuggets and the burgers were just not good. First of all, the salad had no meat (I ordered the apple pecan sald) and i thought to myself, maybe I imagined there being chicken in the past, but no, I checked the website and there is supposed to be chicken! We recently visited the Waipio Wendy's location on Monday, September 8, at approx. 3:30 pm. We went via drive thru and ordered 3 salads, a burger combo, and nuggets. We got home and realized that they had forgotten to include the burger I ordered, as well as the receipt. "No big deal," I thought. "It happens sometimes, and they included all the rest of the food." We went back to that same location again today, September 12 at approx. 3 pm. I ordered a junior bacon cheeseburger for my Grandma, and a burger combo for myself. (The same burger they didn't give me the last time.) I checked the bag to make sure the burger was there this time, and it was. I asked for a receipt, but they said that their system was down and that they couldn't provide a receipt. Grandma and I got home and we started eating, but I noticed that the burger tasted bad. I opened the bun and realized that there was no hamburger patty inside the burger! It was just the buns, bacon, vegetables, and sauce. How can they give me a burger without the patty??? Please see the attached pic. Before this experience I was a big fan of Wendys, and would deliberately choose them over the nearby McDonalds and Jack in the Box locations. But after two bad experiences in a row, I have to avoid Wendy's for a while until their employees at the Waipio location can figure out how to make a burger and get it into my bag properly. read more

I used the drive through on 12/11/25 around 10pm. The girl working the order window was very chipper. I asked if they had chocolate chip cookies. I was told "yes we do have chocolate chip cookies". I did not receive any chocolate chip cookies in my order but I did receive 2 dry, crumbly sugar/snickerdoodle cookies instead. That's crazy to NOT RECEIVE what I paid for. I was also not given or offered a receipt.. The aim for not giving out a receipt is probably a sick tactic to avoid blame and accountability of the substandard workers. This location is a joke. I'll never come back. I'll be taking my money to Jack in the Box, McDonald's, and Taco Bell since they're all in this same area. We ordered on the app - two double stack biggie bags & the frosty fusion trio. My husband customized his biggie bag which was no mustard, pickles & onions. For his nuggets, he got the honey bbq saucy nuggets w/ ranch dipping. Mine was easy & simple. No customization to the burger, regular chicken nuggets w/ bbq dipping sauce. He went to drive thru to pick up the order & came back after a good 25 minutes. We live like 5 minutes away. My husband said the lady at the window said no more bbq dipping sauce so she threw in more ranch dipping sauce instead of asking him. My nuggets were spicy instead of the regular. I'm not good with spicy food so I couldn't finish them even with the ranch sauce. I gave them to my husband & he agreed it was spicy. BOTH burgers had everything in them! My husband took out what he didn't want which was whatever but cmon. The frosty fusion trio looked good but tasted alright.. I suggest to get a regular plain frosty instead of those. I never had a problem with any Wendy's until the one in Waipio. I'm just disappointed.. & sad cause I like Wendy's but this location really needs to step it up. read more

Got a coupon pamplet in the midweek and the coupon (pic) says $5.99 for a Daves double for $5.99....when you go to ring it up with coupon it rings up $8.29 ....I called attention to this error and the counter person tried it again and it still rang up $8.29 ..... so conclusion if you see wendys coupons its just a way for them to lure you there so they can sell you their regular more lucrative items aka as bait and switch. I know Lent had passed a few days ago, but I decided to venture out on something that seemed interesting to try out. So that led me to try the Crispy Panko Fish Sandwich. The price was within $6-7 range, which I think is fair, considering that it is seafood we're looking at here. I did order mine without cheese, which does change the experience a bit. That being said, I actually think they did a good job listening and making sure they gave me what I wanted. So, at first glance, visually, it looked really nicely presented. Good-sized filet, lettuce, pickles (Three, I believe on mine, unless someone else had more or less pickle on their sandwich), and tartar sauce. I liked that they made sure to sauce both the top and bottom just to make sure you can see it. The first bite I took was like excellent. I can tell they definitely delivered on the execution. The panko coating was really crispy on my sandwich. That, with the combination of the tartar sauce, really was like a beautiful symphony in my mouth. The pickle was great. Lettuce...it's one of those you either like it or you don't type items on there, but I appreciate Wendy's trying something different to keep pace with McDonald's Filet-O-Fish, Arby's King's Hawaiian Fish Deluxe/Crispy Fish Sandwich and Popeye's Cajun Flounder sandwich. It's a really solid fish sandwich. I don't really know why they didn't consider keeping it on the menu, but I think they should, given how we've seen the chicken sandwich competition, which has been a while back. read more

Visited on 11/23/2024 at about 7:15pm. Ordered 2 medium frosty. 1 chocolate Ans 1 salted caramel. Instructed to proceed to 2nd window. Was handed 2 medium frostys and was asked for payment. Handed them My card and it was all good. Asked for a receipt but they claimed they couldn't provide me with one. Fine. Got home and found out I wasn't given a salted caramel frosty but 2 chocolate ones. Called the store and they told me the salted caramel was not ready yet. Why wasn't that relayed to me when I ordered. Whoever answered the phone didn't seem to give a shit. No apologies whatsoever. Finally got to speak to a manager. Really nice people here, food is actually pretty good quality for a fast food restaurant.

I ordered a large chili with hot sauce packets. First the lid was loose so it leaked in the bag, no napkins and no hot sauce. Got home started to stir it and there's rice ( if I wanted rice I would have said with rice). The container was 3/4 full of rice and a little bit of chili. I have to control my carbs for health reasons. This was a waste of money since I can't eat it because of the amount of starch/rice. You just can't get good help/service these days. Normally I don't have any problems when ordering from here, but with all the new people, they're making a lot of mistakes and getting my orders wrong. I probably I won't be coming back anytime soon.
