Sorry guys. Dropping stars. This place actually is consistent but they are only consistent on making food sweeter and sweeter and sweeter. If you like diabetes this is your place. They specialize in making food extremely sweet and when you ask them to make it spicier and less sweet it gets even sweeter. The key to Chinese or Vietnamese or Japanese food is to be authentic. This place is 1000% American tongue fancy. I'm dropping my review to 2. They do have passion but the passion is for sweetie Americanized food and not original. It's no better than Pando Express. Tucked away on Huffmeister in a small plaza, an Asian eatery with a slightly more upscale vibe than your traditional mom and pop Asian cuisine restaurant. When we walked in, I only saw two staff working and it was quite empty. The hubs ordered the sweet and sour shrimp, but I wasn't really hungry so I just ordered a side of lo mein. I highly recommend you try their lo mein...it's flavorful and fresh and tasted better than your mall food court food... We had an appointment in the area and the office employees directed us here. Mixed results on the food. The appetizers were a mediocre egg roll and Crab Rangoon, but the Gyoza was better with the soy dip. For entrees we ordered sweet and sour shrimp with fried rice; that was mediocre but the fried rice was totally blah, inedible. The garlic sauce shrimp with side of lo mein was better. I think the best thing I ate was the side of lo mein. Mr. Picky has a sweet tooth and he said what saved the meal for him was the red dyed sweet sauce, of which he received a generous-sized amount in a bowl, so he could dip everything into and that dunking made everything taste sweet. Good thing he is not diabetic. Let's be honest here. This is not fabulous authentic Chinese food, we wish them well, but we decided this would be our first and last visit. read more

We recommend this restaurant because we have enjoyed each meal/appetizers we ordered. I don't have all the pictures but we like the Crab Rangoon, spring rolls I wish the wonton soup was available for lunch deal. The other soups are ok but.. Kung Pao Chicken, Hunan Chicken Orange Chicken, General so's Chicken, Curry Chicken, Chicken and Shrimp fried rice, Japanese Ramen shrimp soup are some of our favorites. They have drive thru option too. A lot of people goes through the drive thru. The service was also great timely and check in on us for refills too. Not a fan of drinks though so only water for us. Eager to try new places, we gave this one a shot. It has only been open for 3 weeks, and still has an impressively large inflatable welcome arch flanked by inflatable golden guardian lions out front. Located in a corner of a strip mall, this place even has a drive-thru! The interior is well-lit, spacious, modern and minimalistic, with what appears to be K-Pop playing lightly in the background. A young couple runs this eponymous restaurant. The menu is quite comprehensive. There is a multi-page lunch section with many options. Prices are relatively reasonable during these inflationary times. There are plenty of dinner dishes for around $11-$13. Lunch menus are around $9. There is about a one-page worth of Japanese food, and that's where we began our culinary exploration. We ordered the ramen and the yakisoba. The ramen came in a huge bowl and was pretty substantial. The noodles were quite good. The soup base was decent but not quite to the standard of a good ramen place. The yakisoba noodles were delicate and very tasty. Overall, we enjoyed our experience, and look forward to trying out the rest of the dishes that this place has to offer. read more

Probably will be one of my "Go To" spots for Chinese food. They give you a whole box full of Crab Ragoons where most places give you 4-6 in an order. The Beef Pepper Steak, General Tso's, and Sweet and Sour Chicken all had nice flavor. They give you a regular rice or a fried rice option for every order with no upcharge. Tried Weng's last night for the first time and I'm so glad we gave it a try. We got the veggie fried rice, shrimp fried rice, gyoza, and fried buns. Everything was delicious! The veggie fried rice has eggs, snow peas, broccoli, corn, onions, peas and carrots, mushrooms, zucchini, and bean sprouts. It was so flavorful, and the portion was perfect for leftovers! I ate half of the bowl the night we got it and the remaining half the next day. The picture included is leftovers, which goes to show how much is packed in the container. The shrimp fried rice was also really good, with plenty of big shrimp! And they provided great customer service during pick up. Looking forward to eating here again! read more

Unfortunately, their chicken was very tough. They are not really people who complain so I didn't find out until later that they weren't happy with their meal. My son's egg drop soup was very gooey. He said it was like eating raw eggs in a broth. I don't know what went wrong with their meals. My husband and his co-workers tried this place and had a great experience. Maybe this was a one off problem. We will give them another chance. As far as the service, they were so accommodating. We ordered online and got some reason it wasn't going to be ready until 12. It was our first time here. I wanted to like this place. The workers were nice and friendly with fast service. The food portions were very generous but flavor and texture were not that great. My daughter ordered beef and broccoli and the beef was super tough and very chewy. The flavor of the beef dish was not very tasty. We told the waitress and she was very apologetic and offered us another dish and we declined but she said her boss wanted to replace it with another dish called Mongolian beef no charge. The flavor of the Mongolian beef was tasty but the beef was suppose to be better quality but it was not. The garlic shrimp dish I ordered was very oily and did not have much flavor except for the little spicy kick. I did appreciate the fresh veggies the dishes all had in them and the generous portions but the flavors were not there. The food is tastier at Panda express if you ask me. Wengs does NOT have fresh brewed ice tea and NO fountain drinks they only have canned or bottles which means no free refills.
