The Sando. OMG amazing - best chicken sandwich hands down
    Brittany S.

Literally delicious The Sando is the best chicken sandwich in the entire world. We got sweet and tangy dry rub and I can't tell you enough how incredible it was. The maple siracha fries are the best I've tried. They're the perfect combination of sweet and spicy. It's one of our new favorite spots.

I stopped by this place out of pure curiosity. My luck must be good because my fries were bomb!!!! They even offer meatless tenders for all of us non-meat eaters to replace the regular chicken. My husband had a salted caramel shake which he devoured before I could snap pictures lol. You can dine in or do take out, cashier was very helpful and friendly making my ordering process very easy

First time trying Chef's Table, a South African inspired ambient new American restaurant! The…read moreinterior is dark and moody, and features a lot of the chef's South African memoirs. You can choose to sit either inside or outside. We went with the Houston Restaurant week menu which features some of their most popular dishes. For the appetizer, we tried the sautéed calamari and gumbo. The calamari had a nice creamy garlic sauce which paired well the sautéed bell pepper, onions, and tender calamari. Their gumbo is solid, not too spicy and had nicely cooked rice and a mix of toppings. The rice had a good bite and absorbed the flavor from the gumbo well. I would recommend the sautéed calamari. For entrees, we ordered the wild caught king clip and steak Diane. The very buttery king clip comes with sautéed spinach and is basted in a creamy, slightly lemony sauce which compliments both elements of the dish. The kingclip is garnished with micro greens and comes with an extra lemon for additional acidity, but I felt that it wasn't needed. The steak Diane had a medium cook and was soooo tender to the bite. I would recommend both, but partial towards the king clip if you want to try something unique! Lastly for dessert, I ordered the passion fruit crème brûlée which had such a unique flavor profile! The tartness of the passion fruit goes surprisingly well with the warm vanilla custard. The texture of the creme brûlée toasted sugar top was perfect as well and added a really nice crunch to every bite. My friend ordered their sticky toffee pudding, which was arguably the best one I've had yet. The toffee syrup is incredibly rich and adds a nice caramelized flavor to the ice cream and moist cake base. It's garnished with bits of sugary crumble and fruit. You really can't go wrong with either, but if I had to pick, their sticky toffee pudding is a must try. All in all, such a fun and intimate dining experience!

We were seated in a booth that felt quite cramped for a business meeting. Next time, we'd likely request a more open, well-lit table. We ordered several dishes, but the Chilean sea bass was disappointing. It was dry, lacked the buttery texture it's known for, and was quite bland. We also requested a side of hot sauce, but that request was overlooked. To end the meal, we planned to order coffee and toffee instead of dessert. After waiting nearly 30 minutes, we were told the coffee machine had broken. Unfortunately, by then the server seemed eager to wrap things up and didn't really give us the opportunity to consider any other after-meal options. Overall, the restaurant has a nice atmosphere and we can see why it's popular, but the food execution and service fell short of our expectations, especially for a business lunch. We hope these issues were just an off day, as we'd like to give it another chance.

When it showed up I was amazed by the large pile of food. As I began to eat though, I started to get disappointed. I cut into my fried egg expecting it to run all over my plate, but it seems like it was cooked somewhere between over medium and over hard. I was looking for tasting the hot honey, which appears to be under the dish as opposed to on top of it. I was looking forward to a soft fluffy biscuit, but it too was over hard. The Chicken was well cooked, a bit thin, and I'm not sure that the breading tasted anything more like Captain crunch than it did any other breading. However every time I cut into it the breading kind of just fell off into the gravy. The gravy and potatoes were redeeming, with good flavor gravy and well cooked potatoes. Overall, it wasn't bad, I ate it all, I just expected better for my $17.

The sports bar had R&B playing moderately loud (but no issues carrying on a conversation). I can only imagine the vibe may be different with larger crowds in the evenings/weekends. The menu is a QR code on the table. They have a large outside covered patio. Lots of TV's inside & outside. The salmon salad was very good. The salmon was cooked just right & very well seasoned. Nice size, generous amount of toppings (eggs, tomatoes, onions) such that I had toppings in every bite with my lettuce. The entire salad, dusted with a cajun seasoning, was a nice touch. Food was served in a metal plate with plasticware & plastic cups. (I'm sure the 'plastic' is helpful for managing the outside dining.) Chef Dee came out to check on us. She saw me taking a picture of my food & playfully said 'hey you gotta take a pic of the chef who created it'. Of course I took her pic!! Based on my salmon salad, I would definitely try other items on the menu if ever in the area again. Try them out. If you don't prefer a crowd, pop in for lunch.

There's a vibrant, buzzing energy the second you walk through the door. While you might have to wait a bit for a table during peak hours, the high turnover means the food is incredibly fresh and the kitchen is always on its A-game. It is absolutely worth the wait. The Bread (Do NOT Skip It) Whatever you do, you cannot pass over the bread. Seriously, it deserves its own five-star review. A lot of restaurants treat the bread basket as an afterthought, but here, it's a total masterclass. It arrives warm, perfectly textured, and sets the tone for the entire night. Honestly, if a kitchen puts this much love into the carbs they bring out at the start, you already know the entrees are going to be spectacular.

We hoped for a table set in remembrance, but instead, there was just a display for graduates. It's disappointing because our family has military men who have served, and I even have a son serving our country now. While we're super proud of all our graduating students, we believe their privileges are a direct result of our soldiers' sacrifices. About our meal, my beef tips and mashed potatoes were served really cold and looked undercooked. Even though they brought a replacement, it was still undercooked, and this time, it barely had any meat, mostly just mushrooms with sauce.
