Refusal of Warranty Service I purchased a 2024 Mazda CX-90 PHEV from Werner Mazda in April 2024. Since purchase, the vehicle has experienced multiple defects requiring service. These defects and conditions have substantially impaired its use, value, and safety, including but not limited to: EV battery failure requiring towing and replacement within the first six months of ownership Repeated and prolonged failure of the MyMazda app climate control system following service Cooling system defects requiring radiator replacement Premature tire replacement at approximately 17,000 miles Ongoing loud noise and vibration when turning left Fuel or exhaust odor inside the cabin upon startup In October 2024, the vehicle failed to start and required towing. The EV battery was replaced. Following an oil change on December 27, 2024, the climate control feature in the MyMazda app stopped functioning. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue through the dealership, the problem remained unresolved until January 23, 2025, after Mazda Corporate confirmed an IT solution and the vehicle software was updated. On October 25, 2025, I brought the vehicle in for a windshield washer warning light, squealing brakes, and a recall. During that visit, Werner Mazda stated the radiator was cracked and required replacement. I was also told that all four tires needed replacement at approximately 17,000 miles. Although the tires were replaced at no cost, I was told I would need to pay a $129 alignment fee, which I declined. After this service, the vehicle developed a loud noise and vibration when turning left. On November 17, 2025, the vehicle was test-driven by the Service Manager, Dylan Gallagher, who stated that he did not have an explanation for the issue. Prior to that visit, I already had a scheduled appointment for November 24, 2025, for an oil change and to verify the recall, which was still showing as open on my account. During that visit, the oil change was completed, the recall was cleared, and a technician video was provided stating the vehicle was in excellent condition. Due to worsening noise, vibration, and a new fuel odor upon startup, I contacted Mazda Customer Service on December 26, 2025 and customer service rep, Starler scheduled a service appointment for January 2, 2026. Werner Mazda accepted the appointment and Dylan told Starler a loaner vehicle would be issued. At approximately 2:15 p.m. that day, I received a call from Dylan Gallagher informing me that the dealership would not be servicing my vehicle. When I asked why, I was told it was because I did not complete a survey after my prior visit and that, if I had, it likely would have been negative. I asked to speak with his boss and was denied. I was told I come come pick up my vehicle. When I returned to the dealership, I was handed my keys by Dylan and told that I could leave. No written explanation or repair documentation was provided. I was informed by Dylan that he had spoken with Eric and they agreed the vehicle would not be serviced. The vehicle remains under manufacturer warranty. Refusing to inspect or service a vehicle after accepting an appointment and issuing a loaner raises serious concerns under New Hampshire consumer protection and warranty laws. This refusal may be considered evidence of noncompliance with the manufacturer's warranty obligations. I have notified Mazda Corporate and filed a complaint with the New Hampshire Attorney General's Consumer Protection Bureau. read more

Werner Mazda's website made it easy to pick the car I wanted before arrival to do a test drive. This was easily arranged without an appointment. After the test drive, the discussion about markup and trade-in (although not what I hoped) went quickly, and they offered better financing than I cold find on my own. And my sales representative Chris Peek was awesome at getting me through the paperwork and the physical transition from car to car. I hope the Service Department will be equally good. read more

This business illustrates why people hate car dealerships. I went to Tulley Mazda, had a great experience. They were transparent. They gave me all figures on a new lease and printed quotes to take home with me. I wanted a second opinion. I sent those quotes to Werner Mazda on the virtually identical car (Werner's vehicle was slightly less equipped with an MSRP $800 lower). Instead of matching or beating the Tulley deal they manipulated the terms to make their deal look more appealing when in reality it was actually a worse deal. We text back and forth for two days and made no progress. The lack of transparency and manipulation here is disgusting. When I called them out on why they wasted my time instead of saying they couldn't beat the deal they had no legitimate answer and offered no apologies. Even if we had done business I would have been skeptical of their integrity given the negotiation process. Zero stars. I feel truly sorry for anyone who conducts business with them. read more

I recently purchased a new 2025 CX 5 from Werner Mazda in Manchester, NH on the condition that it had two essential features: a heated steering wheel for my arthritic hands and AWD for winter safety. The salesperson assured me that the heated steering wheel was excellent. I test drove the vehicle on a 92° day. But to my disappointment and dismay, as the weather has become cooler when I turned on the heated steering wheel to soothe my hands, it is lukewarm at best--hardly what I was promised. Upon reading reviews, it is clear the salesperson must have known it underperformed. So, it was with a lot of apprehension that I started out with terrible memories of previous card buying experiences. I'm glad to report that my expectations were the opposite of what I expected by dealing with Werner Mazda. Probably the best purchasing experience I can recollect for any type of product. I worked with Mike Heintz who was wonderful. He was a professional salesperson who is informative, responsive, cooperative about creating a win-win buying experience for the customer and his dealership. No typicall high pressure here. The Finance manager, Matt Lemaire, was also great to work with. He made the paperwork simple to follow given that I was buying a car out of my home state. Matt took care of the registration and insurance process which made the purchase much easier. All told, I highly recommend these people and dealership if you want to purchase a vehicle. Overall I had a great experience getting a hard to find 2021 CX-5 Carbon Edition Turbo. Mike was easy to work with and always there for any questions myself and my family had. The only complaints I really have is that normally after buying a car (especially New/Certified) you are given a full tank of gas, but I was only given like 1/3 of a tank. This was a bit unexpected and cost a star in my review. We also negotiated rubber mats into the deal, but only received floor mats and not the rubber mat for the cargo area. All in all, it was a typical dealership experience and I can't complain. Very happy with my car! read more

Brought my car in for check up after experiencing low-idling, causing my car to nearly stall when coming to a stop. Car only has 33K miles on it so I brought it in for general warranty service. Service staff very friendly and professional, and they send out a cool video of the service tech explaining the checkpoints as they serviced the vehicle. Problem turned out to be a slightly loose nut on the negative terminal of the battery. $95. To tighten a nut. Yes, they had to use a computer to diagnose it, which must have taken 1 minute. Not classified as defective manufacturing or workmanship. Fine, how about a courtesy for a potentially new service customer? I complained and was told to call the service manager the next day. I've decided not to bother. I've paid it, and will chalk it up to yet another reason why a dealership like this will never get my business. Their loss. read more

You're driving down 101 in a Loaner/Courtesy Vehicle, and 20 minutes into your drive, BAM, the right rear window EXPLODES and glass flies into the car as you try to figure out wtf just happened. With a vehicle to my right, I manage to pull the car off the highway to inspect no other visible damage. The window is completely blown out. What do you do? Well, #WernerMazda decides it's my fault and goes after MY insurance. State police say there are "no reports" of shootings... grateful I had no passengers. I was putting $2K repairs into my car. I've bought and serviced three cars from them, and THIS a is how Werner treats their loyal customers. "You signed an agreement" was their response. They didn't care about making a fair or right decision. Too big for their britches in their fancy new showroom. I hope they read this and make better choices with the next victim. I had an absolutely terrible time car shopping at Werner Mazda. I came to look at new CX-3s and CX-5s on Black Friday and felt like as soon as I walked in all they saw in me was dollar signs. The salesman was definitely knowledgeable about the cars they had, but I let him know as soon as I walked in that I wasn't prepared to buy and would only do so if I had a once-in-a-lifetime deal in front of me (at the time, I was at the very start of my car shopping experience and needed more than one day to digest what car is right for me). Yet here I am writing a one-star review. I was highballed when we sat to talk numbers for a lease on a CX-3, and despite some room for negotiation, the price really didn't budge. They said they were willing to work with me, but after one turn of negotiation they actually told me: "You'll never see a better deal than this because it's Black Friday. This deal won't be here by tomorrow, if you want this car you should really take this. I mean, wow. THIS is a great deal." For $5K down, I think not!! I walked away and found an insanely better deal and better/no BS service at Tulley Mazda in Nashua. tl;dr - The Werner team does a great job of making you feel as if you're getting an amazing deal on a great car but from my experience, this office is completely untrustworthy. I love my Mazda, but I highly recommend going to another dealer if you can so you don't get absolutely ripped off. read more

I just wanted to share my experience with Werner Mazda. First and foremost, I left with my dream car for the right price- but that's something a lot of dealers can make happen. What separated them from others was how human they were towards me. They were real people, not cheesy car salesman. They took the time to listen to what I needed, made it work for me, and didn't try to over sell me. I felt like I was talking to a close friend, in a sense that I could trust these people. We bought a new Mazda CX9 in 2016 from this dealership. They sold us an 'Ultimate' extended warranty that they said would 'cover everything but consumables'. Fast forward to Aug 2020, the car engine head cracks and car dies out of nowhere. We are outside of manufacturer's warranty. After 6 weeks of warranty-dealership back and forth our claim was denied based on a contract we were never given at point of sale. We are now facing a 8K bill including over 1K in labor for a teardown ordered by 3rd party warranty co. So much for Ultimate coverage. They also scratched the vehicle while fitting roof rails but denied responsibility. Don't trust this dealership and don't expect customer service once they have your money. read more

Found this Rav4 online and worked with Robert Hering to purchase. On the phone I assured him I didn't want a car with any defects and had him check the vehicle out for any and he assured me the vehicle was perfect. I live in Dover, NH and had to pay someone to drive me an hour to get there. When I get there it is dark, dreary, and wet so I did not notice these on the vehicle. The vehicle had been on their lot for 55 days so they obviously had to know the condition the vehicle was in and had been aware of these scratches. When I finally got the vehicle into decent light I noticed them ans of course was very displeased. Spoke to management and they did give the me the option to return the vehicle which is fine but when you already got rid of your other car to get this one, drove it back, registered it, and would have pay for another ride to go through the head ache of returning it, you really hope there is another option. They got back to me and are splitting the cost of fixing the scratches which I feel satisfied with. read more

I want to start by saying I rarely take the time to write reviews, BUT this place is so terrible I felt compelled. I was very interested in buying a CX9. I looked up some models I was interested in online and they happened to have a few options in the color etc I wanted so I took a ride over -- despite my better judgment as I should have remembered there was a reason I hadn't purchased my TWO prior Mazdas with them. When I arrived I was greeted by Roger. He showed me the model in the showroom and then immediately wanted my life story...where did I live, what did I do for work and then of course wanted to get into numbers. After getting my life story I started asking about the specific models I saw online. He was so clueless about what he had in stock that I had to bring up the website. He had to go back and forth to his manager to keep checking. Finally he brings one I'm interested in around to test drive... I won't spend a lot of time on that aside from saying... it was awkward. When we got back he started asking how I'd rate the power of the car, the features etc and if he could "make the numbers work" would I be willing to purchase today. Mind you I drive a CX5 and already explained I just wanted more space so no need to grill me. Thanks. Once we go inside he goes to talk to his manager. I'm sitting right there so I can hear the conversation. It was all I could do to not just walk over and have the conversation directly. So he comes back and says "well we can make the numbers work with this car" so I ask "how". He hadn't told me anything yet... not the price of the car, the value of my trade, the current financing options, nothing so I was very curious as to what numbers he was using. He then had to go back and check with his manager on my trade value but still wouldn't give me anything concrete on what any of the numbers were. I was all set by this point so I said thanks and went to leave. He then asked if there was anything else he could help me with.... ugh no you ass hat... pretty sure your job is to sell cars and you clearly can't even do that. My gut feeling says they are just horrible people but I also can't help but wonder if they treated me like a stupid little woman that wouldn't question numbers. Well your loss. Make sure you do all the math yourself when they are negotiating the total price with you and show it "by line item" - my total was $500 more than the line items added up to, didn't catch it until I was 2 hours in finalizing the financial paperwork. They claimed it was a mistake, but refused to change it. Then on top of it, my new $40k car had issues within the first couple weeks. I emailed the sales staff multiple times but they never responded, that is, until I contacted the BBB, and then of course their excuse was that they had my email wrong (the same email I was using to exchange emails about coming in for the sale). Then I didn't so much as get an apology when the car actually did have issues that were fixed after bringing it in for service. My sales person - before I bought the car - was very professional and courteous. But everything else was poor for the reasons above. read more

I bought a car here 20 days ago, DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID. My new certified pre-owned "120-point inspection" vehicle has required TWO trips to the service dealer in UNDER 20 DAYS. Second, Werner service is terrible. They said they would overnight the title to me in the mail, but two weeks later I had still not received the title. I called and they told me my salesperson made a mistake and they would have to send me a new copy in the mail. Finally, when I went to register my car, Werner had not correctly filled out my paperwork for the title. Their error caused me to be unable to apply for a registration until I received additional information. Throughout this entire process, my salesman, Roger, was never able to come to the phone when I called to help remedy my issues. I would not recommend Werner Mazda to anyone. The sales staff is unhelpful and their "120-point" inspection is bogus. Go somewhere else to buy a Mazda. read more

I am on my second leased CX-5 from Werner Mazda and I have to say that my all around experience has been nothing but positive. They treat me like I am their most valuable customer ever. My experience with the Service Department has been nothing short of outstanding. Recently, my tire pressure light came on and I was worried that I might have a nail in the tire. I was about to leave on a road trip when I called the Service Department to inquire if they would be able to check it before I left. Not only did they get me right in to check the tire but also did not charge me for their time. The tire only needed air but they did check all four tires to assure me that I was ready for the road. I love this place! I have never once felt pressured or cheated here. I will return for my third Mazda when this lease is up. I travel every week for work, and live in the North Country. It is next to impossible to get my vehicle serviced timely as I am hardly home. I have used the MHT airport-based "Service on the Fly" on 3 occasions now, and I have to say it is such a great find! The folks at Werner could not be friendlier, nicer, or more accommodating, and the prices are extremely fair. This week I was able to get my oil changed, brakes replaced, new wiper blades, and my State Inspection sticker, all while I was away for business. Can't beat the service or the price! read more

I typically avoid getting my car serviced at dealerships because they tend to be more pricy, but I ended up at Werner for some manufacturer recalls. My car needed some work otherwise and I really appreciated the video they sent me to show what I needed done and why. Russel provided excellent communication with me throughout the weekend, and helped me prioritize which services I needed done ASAP. To top it off, they provided me with a brand new loaner vehicle so I could get around while my car was in the shop. Pricing was slightly higher than my local mechanic, but not significantly more. They actually just called (24 hours later) to make sure I'm still satisfied with the service they provided. Will return. read more

I sent their Internet sales rep a very detailed spec and options list for a 2017 CX5, as well as details on a possible trade-in and my requirements for financing. Werner low-balled a quote and confirmed via text. When I arrived at the dealership, I met with the manager and the Internet sales rep - they had already prepared an entirely new quote that was $5K HIGHER. You read that right. $5K. They never even looked at my trade-in, so the only factor that could have changed was their profit margin. Other than a "gee, I guess it was a mistake", they were totally unapologetic. I just walked out. Based on the reviews here, it's obvious that this is SOP for Werner - they set the low-water mark for car dealer ethics. Horns were not in stock with Mazda to order, but the service department hunted one down from another dealership and had the horn replaced asap. I was looking for a 2015 CX-5, and the prices they show on their website are not what it seems. You have to qualify for rebates for those rebates to apply, i.e. you have to own a Mazda, and you have to be in the armed forces, which is absurd, cause less than half the people are in service. It's a strategy for them so you can walk in on the door and offer you their cars with MSRP. I tried negotiating prices with them. I said another dealer has less, but all they did was show my finance options, which when I computed, wasn't matched at all. Go to Grappone or Seacoast Mazda, they are much nicer than these guys. read more

I purchased a 2019 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring from Werner last Friday somewhat abruptly and the experience was extremely pleasant. I worked with Cam Landry, who was nothing but kind, patient, and accommodating. I had called both Werner Mazda and another Mazda dealership in Mass on Friday morning to talk about price as I was expecting to buy a car on Saturday but because it was the last day of the month and the last day of two incentives I would qualify for, I decided that there was no sense in waiting. Plus, it would be easier to get financing and insurance straightened out on a Friday afternoon as opposed to a Saturday. Cam didn't hassle me, offered me exactly what I was hoping for on my trade-in, and even found a better interest rate on my loan than I thought I would get. The drive from Somerville to Manchester took 1hr and a half with traffic and caused him to stay over two hours past closing with his young son but he didn't complain or rush me through the process and answered all my questions. I brought my dad along for back-up but I didn't need him at all- they simply weren't trying to scam me, they were trying to sell me the car I wanted at a price that was lower than all the other quotes I was getting online and from other dealerships. I made a yelp account for the sole purpose of ripping this dealership a new one. I chose this dealership because they had the car I thought I wanted and I wanted to make the deal on everyone easy. Well, turns out I didn't like the 6 as much as I thought and decided to go with the much peppier and fun-to-drive 3. So after the test drive, I told Jacob that I wanted a 3. Went into the showroom to negotiate. They lowballed the crap out of my trade (2012 Mazda3 130k miles), which should have been a red flag from the get-go. I was able to get another $500 added. I was happy with that. I told them I wanted a white 2018 Mazda 3 GT with the white leather interior. The salesman goes over to the sales manager, RICHARD HAMMOND "Rich", who tells him that white on white doesn't exist and I can't have it. Well, that was the WRONG thing to say to me, who had been researching these cars for weeks. WRONG THING TO SAY to someone who has a. designed it, and b. watched a review on that exact car. So, the sales manager, RICH, decides to see if he can source it for me after I pushed back. Red flag #2. They find one. Now the numbers have to start adding up and they start talking financing. I already had financing, but it was "outside," so they didn't like too much. RICH starts grilling me in the showroom about the rate of the loan I got and my CREDIT SCORE. IN THE SHOWROOM. WITH OTHER CUSTOMERS AROUND. Red flag #3. After my initial shock that RICH would be so rude to ask me those questions in the showroom - and he was not being quiet about it, by the way - they gladly took the check I wrote them for my down payment and couldn't get it away from me fast enough. RED FLAG #4 They said that they had found what I wanted and it was at another dealership in NH and they would get it for me Monday (this was a Saturday) and they would call to tell me that it was at the dealership. Ok, great. Well, Monday rolls around. NO CALL. Finally, call the incompetent Jacob to see if my car had arrived. "Yup, it's here, should be ready for you to pick up tomorrow or Wednesday. WE WILL GIVE YOU A CALL WHEN IT'S READY." Great, can't wait! It's Tuesday, no call. Fine, they have to finish installing the mobile starter, no problem. Now it's Wednesday. 12pm. NO CALL. Call JACOB. "Yup, car's all set, you can come get it tonight and finish up paperwork, etc." Great! Leave work right after that because I'm REALLY excited about getting my new car! Get to Werner, finalize the paperwork, they sucker me into a ResistAll package (white leather). "Oh, we didn't register it because we only go to the Mass registry on Mondays. We can still go and you can bring the car back." Nope, I don't have time for this BS. Finalize everything. The finance manager was very nice and helpful. JACOB offers to, once again, pair my phone to the Bluetooth, which I couldn't care less about. Get the car home, and it dawns on me that no one ever showed me how to use the Mazda Mobile Start or give me more information on it. Call JACOB. "Oh, yeah, sorry, we never installed that." "WHAT???" "Yeah, it wasn't installed." THIS IS WHY YOU HAD THE CAR FOR AN EXTRA DAY!!!!!! "You can bring the car back and we'll install it and give you a loaner." Also, in the meantime, discover that they never gave me the all-weather mats that I ordered. Bring the car back on Monday, drop it off with the nice girl in the service department, Emilie, she tells me it will be done the next day and they will give me a call. Great. Tuesday - "your car is all set, just bring your spare key with you so we can program them." WHAT? WHEN DID YOU MENTION WHEN I DROPPED THE CAR OFF THAT YOU NEEDED TO PROGRAM MY KEYS?? HUH? YOU DIDN'T. "Well, I work in Boston, so looks like I'm not going to have time to go home, get the key, and come to Manchester." "Oh, so you can't come tonight to get it?" ARE YOU SPEAKING THE SAME LANGUAGE AS ME? NO. The service manager, who was told about my disdain, calls me back and I get some runaround from him. Honestly, he keep talking so much that I just kind of zoned him out. Well, go to pick up my car, again, with my spare set of keys, and when I see my car, it's filthy. They offer to "run it through" the car wash again. At this point, I am so fed up and just want to drive my F---ing car. The service manager comes over, I voice my complaints about the service AND sales department. He says he will get the "other" sales manager to come to talk to me. It's the POS RICH. I don't want to talk to you, I tell him. After seeing that he won't leave, I light into him and tell him everything that they did wrong. Just now, when I was getting something out of my car, I notice that there was a piece of plastic in the center console that looks like it came from the original factory wrapping.
