Stopped here for breakfast the other morning. Seems to be a very busy place especially on the weekends. They have a small parking lot in the front and a small space inside. They have small bagels besides the regular size bagels. The cream cheese is homemade which all look delicious. Their vegetable cream cheese I hear is top notch! I saw that they also had rainbow bagels which are very trendy! They have lots of sandwich options and you can get them on rolls, wraps etc. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese on a sesame bagel. It came out to about $5.50. It wasn't my favorite but the bagels were really tasty and soft. Would totally come back again in the future! read more

I don't know what happened to this place. they used to be so good. now, I get a bagel with cream cheese and they barely put any cream cheese on at all. I asked for veggie cream cheese the other day and I was watching her put it on the bagel and I had to ask if that was veggie bc they were NO veggies in it. then the other girl told her to scrap from the other side to get some veggies bc it was almost empty. I worked at this establishment, a co-worker at the company through an industrial mat that weighs 30lbs at me. I, in self defense pushed him. He's a shit brickhouse so it did nothing to him but I fell on my ass and then got fired for defending myself. The bagels are NOT made fresh there, they come in from a commissary and pretend they are fresh. Look for the bubbles on the bagels, it means it's old dough. I recommend Wellwood bagels where it is done. correctly. No stars read more

The only reason I'd go here is for the convenient location when on my way to work. Great bagels. I have brought these bagels to friends in the city and they loved them. The staff is friendly and they make a great deli sandwich. some local deli workers look miserable that customers actually showed up. Most delis these days are cheap on the meat. There old school with like 4 inches of meat. Salad or pickle with sandwich is nice and they have a punchcard so you get a free sandwich after 10 purchases. Nice gesture. read more

I grew up on Kellum St and this was 109 Deli - Viking Farms was across the street. We stopped there on our way to the 3rd St Park Bus stop for .99 cent egg sandwiches almost every morning. If you wanted Bacon or Ham it was $1.25. I do have a confession, when we slept out during the summer in our backyards and snuck out to go pool hopping we would head up to the deli and garb a few of the Fresh Bagels the bakery dropped off...Great memories. 109 Deli, Pizza Town, Beaver Lake, The Town Pool and the Islanders winning Stanley Cups! This place has really good bagels! And that's the end of the good for this place, they are confused and don't remember who they are helping!!! It's pretty pathetic. I ordered a toasted bagel and stood there for at least 15 minutes waiting just to see how long it took the deer in the headlights girl to figure out that it was my bagel sitting in the toaster. I finally told her to keep the bagel and paid for my drink I already opened and bounced. That happened on more than 1 occasion. I used to be so thankful of this place as is was the only biz open at 4am when I was headed to work. Fast forward 6 yrs and I was back again for some breakfast goodies (although at 10am). The deli has been renovated semi-recently and is far from the dingy bagel cave it used to be. It's still just as spacious inside as it once was, but it's cleaned up and way easier on the eyes. Big shout outs to the dude working the register this morning, as he really had his A-game on. Taking my order, helpful and chatty, letting me try a few new menu items... it was not the normal deli experience (which is staring off into the tropicana aisle of the fridge until your order is ready). In a few min my food was ready and I was on my way. Easy deli experience. I'm not going to comment on the food much, bc I got a lame egg white wrap, but 6 yrs ago this place was tops for a bagel with too much cream cheese and your classic BEC. I have been going to this bagel place for the past 8 years and I have to say they are hands down the best Bagels around. The flagels and bialeys are amazing. I go here in the mornings on my way to work. I prefer this one compared to another bagel shop that I won't mention by name in the area that is...not somewhere I will be going back to. But I digress lol, lines move quickly, food is fresh and they always get my order right. I love the different flavored coffees and did I say quick service? That is so important especially when I am short on time. They might not be super chipper but that's ok by me...because let's face it I'm not always Suzy Sunshine especially before I've had my coffee. They are polite enough and never rude! I once brought my son with me and the person behind the counter was very patient while he counted the money to give to her. Prices are fair as well. The food/bagels are really good. Much praise to the guys cooking in the back. However, the front of the house, not so good. They constantly talk among themselves, instead of staying on top of their orders, which then causes confusion on who ordered what. Also, the one girl who has been working there a while with mousy brown hair, is so rude to female patrons, but friendly to male patrons. Hmmmm. Her attitude is horrible and maybe should not be working in a place that opens so early because she's a bit cranky. I have since decided to no longer go in there and to take my business elsewhere because such a bad attitude at the start of the day is not how i want to kick off my long day ahead. Worst experience in a bagel place ever. No one in the place about 6 employees all confused about who was taking our order. All of them a bit rude. Made us pay before the order was even made to find out thee were no rolls to make the sandwich I ordered or any kind of sandwich for that matter. At 145pm? So I paid for a sandwich they couldn't even create. The only thing they had was white bread or wraps. Change the name to just bagels and not deli if you can't execute proper deli sandwiches. I've been going to this bagel store since the original owner opened it up. BEST EGG SANDWICHES EVER!! Bagels are delicious too. I'm giving it 4 stars cause I now live in Florida, Orlando to be specific and can't find a GOOD bagel store, believe it or not, and I was on Long Island a few weeks ago. My daughter loves egg bagels and will only eat the ones from this bagel store so I placed a TO GO order, WHICH I PREPAID, on the first day of my trip, to pick up on my way off of Long Island cause I wanted to make sure I got LOTS of egg bagels for my little girl. Went to pick them up and they never prepared the PREPAID ORDER?? WTFudge? Seriously? Not a good business practice - they should've been prepared and ready to go since I paid for them days prior. Luckily they had what I ordered and put it together quickly, (they always give MANY EXTRAS when you order by the DOZEN. Could've been a disaster.
