    Roast beef on pumpernickel bagel

Picked up couple of bagels and roast beef on a pumpernickel bagel... which included a side... I chose cole slaw...all good service!

Nice staff, very accommodating but it takes a long time to get your sandwich. It was Sunday afternoon, they ran out of some items and offered to substitute different items but the panini still came out wrong, it wasn't even pressed or made hot, head scratcher? My wrap was fine and had sufficient meat for the price. Be careful, there is more than one bagel place on Wellwood Avenue and it confuses lots of people, even us since we had a gift card and oops it was for the other store.

    Everything Bagel with Cream Cheese

I read the mediocre reviews but still ended up eating breakfast here. Toasted everything bagel was very good. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. I came here early on a Saturday morning and there was no line to order. As I was eating, I noticed that the line got really long, and people started complaining because they were waiting for half an hour. I'm glad I got there when I did. Coffee was good too.

    "Manually" toasted bagel with butter

Mediocre bagels. I ordered an everything with cream cheese, which had a more than enough for me. I also ordered an everything toasted with butter. Took longer than it should have , just for the girl to come from the kitchen and say "I apologize for the wait, I had to "manually" toast the bagel". I didn't really question it but at the same time wondered and even said to my daughter... "manually toast the bagel? What does that even mean??" Just to get home and see what she meant was throwing it on a grill? This bagel was NOT toasted!! See pic. My daughter said it tasted burnt. I would have rather the girl say she wasn't able to toast it and I could have done it myself at home!

We picked up a half dozen assorted bagels (everything, egg everything, cinnamon raisin, and sesame) and a half pound of lox spread. The bagels were just alright - decent flavor but flat, tough, and hard to chew. The texture improved after popping them in the toaster, but they still gave our jaw muscles a workout. The spread was yummy, and we appreciated how the girl at the counter threw in some extra slices of lox for us.

When you order a bacon and cheese, apparently you have to be specific that you want more than one egg and they never put the cheese.

    Dirty Torn bagel

Bought a plain bagel this morning - got it home & opened the bag and found this nasty inedible gross mess. The side of the bagel is torn and the bottom is black. You should feel ashamed you gave this to someone to eat, it looks like someone dropped it on the floor.

This is their "Extra Cream Cheese"! Definitely NOT a NY Bagel Shop!

This is their "Extra Cream Cheese"! I HATE Cheap people! I never complain about their prices or the fact that they ALWAYS Charge a credit card fee whether it's $10 or $100! The problem is there's no consistency! One employee makes this Garbage and another with make a Real New York Bagel Store Poppy Seed with Extra Cream Cheese. Most NY Bagel stores would consider this "Light on the Cream Cheese!" They don't even offer a side salad with the deli sandwiches anymore! I once ordered an egg sandwich on a croissant, instead or telling me they don't bake croissants, they took the prepackaged croissant they sell next to the chips and candy(the nasty ones the bodegas sell), and made my sandwich with that. It tasted nothing like a croissant, just fake butter and the plastic wrapper it was sitting in for weeks. There's always egg shells in the last few bites of your egg sandwich. I have yet to get a soft "Fresh Backed Bagel" from them after going here for 11 years! I only come back because my kids request them, but I'm going to bring them to a real Bagel Shop tomorrow to show them the difference! Enough is enough.

This is what they call a "Western Omelet Breakfast", my 6 year old son would have made this better. Nothing is cooked but the eggs.

I wish I can give 0 starts, this place sucks now. I'm a daily customer Monday - Friday and I'm just tired of getting to work and seeing the crap they put together. I don't know what happened to this place, but this is the last time they see my face in there. I will not be going back to this place. I hope someone new comes In and can run the place the right way. Also they never answer the phone, like get it together it's 2022

Whether dining in or ordering takeout, the food takes far longer than expected. Takeout orders are routinely 15 minutes or more past the quoted pickup time, which is frustrating when you're planning your day around their estimate. Service has also been inconsistent. The waitstaff often seems disorganized, and communication regarding delays is lacking. I understand restaurants get busy, but after multiple visits, the same problems keep occurring. The food is decent, but not enough to make up for the long waits and repeated service issues. After giving this restaurant several opportunities, I don't see myself return

They asked for drink orders and we were left alone for a long time until the drinks arrived. Though we were ready to order, the server just dropped off our drinks and went to bring another table upstairs. I went down to the counter to get someone to take our order, and it took nearly an hour before our order was in (and even then, they took the order of the second table before taking our party's order). It was almost an hour and a half since we entered the restaurant when the food finally arrived at our table, and then it took so long for someone to come with our check and process payment, we went down to the counter to do it. During this time, another family was seated upstairs and left due to not being attended to. This caused big delays in our day and I had to cancel an appointment because we spent over two hours at this restaurant when we didn't want to. That said, food was good. I got the lemon blueberry pancake, which was a little bit gummy but mostly tasted fine. My brother got the mangu, which is kinda hard to find around here, let alone on the menu of a breakfast brunch restaurant. It was my brother's first time having it, and he thoroughly enjoyed it. Besides him choosing scrambled eggs instead of fried eggs, it was very classic mangu breakfast. The real crabmeat omelet was another hit-- crabmeat was so real there were little pieces of shell lining-- really ambitious and deliciously executed. The menu is really fun and the food was overall good. Again, I think the very slow service wasn't on purpose and it's because they didn't anticipate such a large crowd on a Friday, but I would say run if they try to seat you upstairs and you're the only ones up there. Be prepared to wait for a long time if you want the reward of nice food.

We were seated immediately, and from there the experience just kept getting better. The menu has something for everyone, including a vegan menu plus the regular menu all had vegan alts as well, which is surprisingly rare for any place and especially a brunch spot. Everything we ordered was excellent. The piña colada pancakes were a standout, topped with pineapple chunks, whipped cream, and coconut flakes for the perfect balance of sweet and tropical. The pigs in pancakes were another favorite, featuring sausages wrapped in fluffy pancakes and beautifully presented. We also loved the loaded home fries--a mix of regular and sweet potatoes topped with melted cheese, jalapeños, and bacon bits. They were packed with flavor. The alcoholic drink menu is fairly limited, but the mimosas were well made, generously poured, and hit the spot. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made us feel welcome throughout the meal. One of the most memorable parts of the restaurant is its unique atmosphere. A large werewolf statue greets you at the entrance, and the Gothic, Halloween-inspired décor gives the place a fun personality that sets it apart from the typical brunch spot. There's also outdoor seating if you prefer to dine outside. If you're looking for a unique brunch experience with great food, friendly service, and plenty of menu variety, Cornucopia Nursery is definitely worth checking out.

The Brixton is a beautiful restaurant with very relaxed and casual vibes. The word around town is that their drinks are awesome. What about their food, though? They originally would not seat us in the middle of the afternoon because most of the empty tables were reserved. We had to request to sit outside, which was empty, before they decided to serve us. Odd that they did not even offer that to us. The General Tso' Cauliflower was the only great thing served to us. It is incredibly crispy and flavorful. You almost forgot that you were eating a piece of vegetable at times. The Short Rib Brisket Sesame burger was shocking. $18 for two White Castles-sized sliders. It was easily consumed, and I was left much to be desired. This is most definitely an appetizer item, not an entree. The Chicken Waffle was good. Nicely deep-fried and packs a lot of flavor. The waffle looked dubious. If I had to guess, it might not be mad fresh to order. Essentially, it's 3 drumsticks/wings over a possibly frozen Eggo waffle. I would recommend a second dish if you are looking to get full. The Steak frites and Eggs Benedict were the final dishes served. It is hard to mess these dishes up, but the ribeye was nicely seasoned and cut up. The dishes were nicely displayed. Overall, this is just an OK experience. When the deep-fried cauliflower appetizer is the most memorable dish here, it is quite alarming. Portion sizes are on the small end, and none of the flavors for the entrees really stuck out.
