Extremely pleased with the welcome greeting of the front office. This was my first time visiting and was welcomed with a warm hello that led to being asked the names of the pets. The sign up front said welcome to the new animals arriving, I thought that was a cute touch. The total appt time was easy under an hour for 2 dogs with getting a wellness exam and a quick shot for allergies. The provider was extremely friendly and welcoming and was quick to view the dogs and see what needed to be done. Leaving at the end of the visit was just as nice as the greeting the tech was offering treats and paperwork all at the same time. I do love the lab on site and microscopes that are able to check in real time. The decor of the office was great, the waiting room felt comfortable and uplifting. read more

I take my dog of nine years (my best friend) here and he gets excellent care. The pace is very clean, and the staff knowledgeable and welcoming. I usually have anxiety when leaving woody at the vet but he had a great time and even had a bath. I brought my 7 month old kitten to WBVC for an emergency visit. He needed emergency surgery as he chewed through our curtains and ate thread that was over 8 feet long. The doctors had him in surgery within the hour. The thread was wound around his stomach and throughout his intestines. My kitten would have died without the swift action of this team. After the surgery, the doctors and staff continued to follow up with reports on his status. When it was time to go home, they followed through with his care with follow up visits and phone calls by the doctors themselves to check on my kitten. I have never received such great care and personal service from a veterinarian's office and I've been a pet owner all my life. read more

I have been to multiple vets throughout Boca from Clint Moore Animal Hospital to Woof Gang Bakery and I have to say as a college student, this place is the most affordable one; not only that but they actually fix the issue my dog had. Honestly you all at the West Boca Vet center are angels. You squeezed my PITA in the day before Christmas eve when she had a horrible infection and your staff and veterinarians were professional and personable and helped get poor Petey out of so much pain. The center is immaculate, easy to get to, responsive online, and found my pet's records in a matter of hours in an emergency (I was visiting FL from NY and didn't have any of her info handy but they got it all right away). Love the binder they have me with the info from the visit already three hole punched inside to have for our home files. too. Their prices seem very reasonable ... from stories I've heard, it sounds like a lot of pet clinics around here overcharge to make a mint off people who are emotionally vulnerable with sick pets. After being a loyal Clintmoore Animal (Butzer) customer for two decades, I felt it was time to explore other options. I can't say one bad thing about Butzer or his practice. I can say, I could no longer afford some of their prices. Plus, that place is a circus and can be very overwhelming for not only the customers, but the animals as well. Like most people, when I have an appointment with a doctor ideally I'd like to be seen around that time. Waiting 45+ minutes isn't something I want to endure if I don't have to. West Boca Veterinary Center not only provides excellent service, but they're extremely accommodating and their prices are more in line with today's vet standards. Dr. Haskin and his tech Doreen were super nice and made sure all of my questions were answered and most importantly, that my dog was taken great care of. When I book my appointment at 4:30, I'm seen at 4:30. Time is important, especially when you have a family to work around. The staff is very nice and I even received a phone call the day after to check-up on my dog. While it's common, it's not only was done. It's the little things that make up a great practice. For me, time and money are vitally important and WBVC continues to impress. read more

I just moved to Boca from California and found this vet on Yelp. I was expecting it to be very expensive but I was pleasantly surprised! Very fair prices and everyone in the staff was super friendly and welcoming. I made an appointment for 1030 and I arrived a few minutes early, they already had a room set up for me! I was in shock at the amount of care and attention they give. I have never had such a positive experience with a vet. They where so thorough, but didn't charge me anything that wasn't necessary. They trimmed AND filed my dogs nails and even checked his microchip to make sure he was registered. When we found out he wasn't registered they even did it for me! We checked this place out at the grand opening. Since our girl dogs are both in their mid teens they have had a little more need to see the vet since they have in the past. Dr. Kim Simmons was the first vet we had contact with there and she has been really wonderful. Dr. Kuehnel has taken over as more of a primary and we just love him. As much as the girls really hate going to the vet, both of these doctors and their staff have been fantastic in their care and concern. They follow up on treatments and show they really do care. This clinic is fantastic! Outstanding service, and my Ragdoll cats love Drs. Kuehnel and Simons! This is a full-service animal hospital that has state-of-the-art equipment, comparable to what you normally find in a hospital for humans. I do wish they had another location closer to where I live, in East Boca, as my cats don't really like riding in the car. While there are other clinics in East Boca, I am so impressed with West Boca Veterinary Center, its Doctors and Staff, that I won't change clinics, despite the distance. OK - how do I say enough wonderful things about this place? I started coming here so my cat, who had PU surgery, could have a monthly bath. He tends to dribble after urinating and it gets a bit stinky... Well - not only did they give him the best bath ever - with a shampoo that smells amazing - but showed him love and kindness and treated him as though he were one of their own. Each time I go to this office I feel like I am walking into a hug... Now - West Boca Veterinary Center is my cat's new doctor's office. After his first physical there - it sealed the deal. What a great experience!! I am new to the area, and hadn't needed a vet until today. I called for an appointment for my cat and they saw her the this same afternoon. The front office staff was lovely from the moment I arrived. We were taken directly to the room, and the tech who completed my cat's history was wonderful. He was sweet to her,and incredibly patient. Dr. Haskin was amazing! It is obvious that he enjoys what he does, and truly loves animals. Last but not least, this facility is spotless! Over a period of years I have been taking my cats to see Dr. Keenuhl at the West Boca Veterinary Center. The cat was vomiting or puking sometimes retching, and the vet said so take some of this medicine will help . I brought my cat Slinky to the vet about six weeks ago. Again Dr. Keenuhl looked at my cat Slinky and looked at the blood work that was taken last time and said that there was nothing majorly wrong with him. This was after we had reviewed the lab work. Two weeks later I noticed if there was a puddle of bright red blood in my spare room. I knew there was something seriously wrong with Slinky and I gather him up in his carrier and brought him to find an emergency medicine hospital for Animals. I've wound up at Veterinary emergency group. How far is sitting with my cat I felt something strange in his abdomen oh, and the vet asked me if she could hold the cat for a while doing his exam. He also mentioned that he felt a tumor in the cat abdominal pelvic area and he believed it to be a cancer. My poor little cat slinky had been suffering all the while, yet giving no indication whatsoever other than the fact that he lost half his body weight. Slinky was euthanized that night at VEG, where everyone was in a great Very calming. When I told the at VEG that I could not pay this much, the Doctor that I was seeing voluntarily offered to pay for the euthanasia and the private cremation, and not only that, but he brought Slinky home to me. An experience that I will never forget. Therefore I will allow you to come to your own conclusions I won't be going back to West Boca Veterinary Hospital. Who knows how long that's been going on oh, I have one cat now who's 16 and we'll have to find another doctor to treat his diabetes and arthritis. I am extremely disappointed and Doctor Keenuhl l and the last few times and I was there. read more

My dog had been a patient here since 2016. He began going to WBVC when he was 6 weeks old for boarding on many occasions, check-ups, problem visits, etc. He is a Jack Russell and ever since he was tiny, he's had aggression issues. The staff always treated him with love and compassion, regardless of his anxiety and aggression. The former staff would carry him and send me photos of them showing him affection. I received complaints from staff about him the last few times I took him there. Within the past year or so, there have been a lot of new faces and my dog needed to adjust. The very last time he was there I picked him up and went home. I later received a call from a newer staff member who informed me that the manager said my dog was no longer welcome there due to his behavior. This place has gone downhill. This was the only veterinary center where my dog felt comfortable. They used to be the best! Such a shame. read more

I had been taking my 3lb Pomeranian to WBMC for 5 years. Then they prescribed meds for her back issues, and 2 days later she couldn't stand, walk, urinate or drink water, and was moaning. I called the office so I could bring her in. They said they had no availability that day!! I cold called another local vet. His receptionist asked for her symptoms and said to bring her in immediately, she would clear a room for her. Long story short, she was in renal failure, and we ended up putting her down. I am sure the meds and dosage were the reason for her sudden issues. They denied that the meds were at fault and they didn't seemed concerned that an existing patient was turned away in an emergency. If you need a vet, look elsewhere. read more

Our dog Daisy was a patient at WBVC for about a year...we switched from another vet...Daisy had cancer and we knew her time with us was getting shorter and shorter...we took her to WBVC last week to have her put down...she was starting to really decline...it was one of the most difficult things we have had to do...the doctor and staff at WBVC were amazing! They put us in a nice quiet room with a soft bed on the floor and dimmed lights with candles with Daisy...we said our goodbyes and she was very peacefully put down...they were all very nice and sympathetic...they truly care...here it is a week later and we got a sympathy card in the mail signed by the entire staff...I have never had that happen :) means a lot! read more

super nice place! everyone there is nice and the doctor was thorough with her explanation and price break down (i'm upset i can't remember her name she was amazing). extra people waited outside the building, only one person with the pet was allowed inside while they waited for the doctor (i waited about 5 minutes :)) the nurse was charismatic and nice, made my wait for the doctor better. they are all very caring towards the animals, my cat bit the nurse twice and he was still nice to him! i even had the chance of paying in the room! everything was quick, easy, and safe! a bit pricey so i don't recommending you're on a budget but i understand the prices because the quality is 10/10. read more

My dog was a patient here for about 12 years before we switched her somewhere else. Whenever we came in she was treated with love and respect. That being said, her vet missed a major problem. We made sure to get her teeth cleaned with anesthesia every year to avoid having her teeth needing to be pulled. The last time we did her X-rays and cleaning we got the all clear that everything was fine- we switched her to a new vet a month later just to see what they had to say and she ended up needing 13 teeth pulled. I have been taking my "furry child " to WBVC for many years and having lived in the Boca Delray area since 1989 I can honestly say that I have been to probably 7 or 8 of the other top vets in the immediate area. However, I have found none that can come close to the service, compassion, and all round great people that they have at this facility. I have seen most of the vets and they are all wonderful. The facility is clean, and well organized as well as probably the best vet I have ever been to with my dog. So,if you are looking for a new Dr for you pets of even a great grooming for your pet you can't go wrong going to WBVC. Terako is the best groomer there ever and everyone I send to her comes back to me with a million thank yous for my turning them on to her... she is so skilled at grooming and has a way of putting the animals at ease. And Jazzy feels the same way. She wanted me to tell you the she thinks they are," ruff riff rug riffy" which means they are the best she has ever gone to as well. I went in today for capstar because my dog came home from boarding with fleas. I have 3 dogs and 2 cats that have been to this clinic. The said they would not give me flea control because it's been over 1 year. Unbelievable to me they will let my animal suffer and spread an epidemic of pests in my home. I am not someone who believes in yearly vaccination except for mandatory rabies shots and dental cleaning which all of my pets have had! All they wanted was money for a visit. I will never go back. Over the weekend I brought my dog Lucy for a general examination and met with Dr.Ted Leif as well as the technician Maya. Lucy is an elderly dog with some health issues but loves life so we do what it takes to keep her comfortable. What I experienced with them is that they felt the same way about my precious dog. The doctor was so gentle and incredibly informative about how to maintain her present level of health and Maya also put a positive spin on the visit. So, I have been there multiple times. Everytime I go, the price is one and another. I have 3 dogs. This time, I got charged grossly for urine/ imaging testing (they said that would be $215) . I went 3 times in one day. The first time , I was charged $68 plus $95 for urine, $215 ex ray and $125 for blood. After this, I called another certified vet, (btw the extra $215 + $125 was given by a tech not a vet). She did not clearly explain this to me in the room. Only at the counter when I was paying ( I agreed in the room thinking it was the $215 but I was never explained the other part). The other vet asked me why they had me do the other items when you can see it there if it was a cause for concern with the urine test. If there was (they never explicitly said so) just suggested it. I am not someone who likes to put my dog through things so I was hesitant, but they wantEd to see what's wrong with her. Not only did I spend a crazy amount today for low end tests, I have spent thousands at this place over Covid. I happen to have a puppy and my other dog had a side injury ( which I fought for with follow up as they wanted to charge me originally for it - after the dog had surgery and a follow up); when they had curb side) they found nothing wrong. This is case and example of a place that is super nice, you get great care I am not a arguing that) but they know what type of area they are in. (Affluent) just Google search and look. My biggest thing here, is that I have had my dogs all go there and every time I go, it's one price on the phone x3 on the bill.
