I've been working with Lilit for 2 yrs now and I truly appreciate her and the staff. When I first came it was following a dentist in beverly Hills I'd been with for a while. I liked them, but periodically they would say I needed treatments that seemed fishy to me, and when I first went to West Dental Care, Lilit confirmed my suspicions, and told me exactly what needed attention and what was less necessary, what she would do for herself and what she recommended. I've had a few procedures with her since and have found her fair and honest and kind in all situations. Communication with the office can be limited, as they don't have a voicemail or other direct contact if no one is in the office, but I've only had exceptionally kind service by all the staff. Most recently I went in for an issue with a tooth, and she showed me that a crown I've had for over 10yrs had lost a piece. She worked with my insurance, she removed the crown and found more decay underneath, (not surprising) and has worked to clear and support the tooth as much as possible so I can avoid further expenses. I've been reading some of the posts here, and find them really sad and far from the person that I've been working with for my sessions. More often I've gone in for something and she's taken time from her schedule to see me, and taken xrays for details and not charged me. She adjusted a filling that was annoying and has managed each request with consistent generosity. More than recommended. read more

If I can give a zero I would. This place scheduled an appointment for my mom at 1 PM and when she arrived there on time using Lyft and paying $24, the receptionist said that the doctor is busy and cannot see you. She is overbooked. They are extremely unprofessional and scandalous liars. She was supposed to fix her dental implants, but it appears that she is trying to avoid her because she has no clue what she is doing. read more

I recently called to schedule an appointment and had a few questions about your services. Unfortunately, the receptionist I spoke with seemed to have limited proficiency in English and was unable to provide the information I needed regarding dental treatments. For me that makes me feel very uncomfortable that the people you hire doesn't know anything about Dental. Once I asked her a question she said she would call me back with more information because doctor was busy with a patient but never heard from them. Effective communication is crucial in healthcare settings, as it ensures patients feel informed and confident in the care they will receive. I believe hiring someome that knows and has language skills and product knowledge of front desk staff is very important. Wont be going here. read more

This dentist is very scandalous, they lied and said I have cavities that I did not actually have to make extra money off of you, I went to another dentist and they said I only had 3 cavities when Lilit said I had 7. Also they would not send me the x-rays and pretended that the email didn't go through. A scandalous money greedy business. I usually don't do reviews but I have been extremely scared to go to the Dentist until a family friend of mine recommended me to West Dental Care. The Front Desk receptionist Annie was extremely amazing super nice, friendly and professional she made me feel like I was talking to someone I new for many years, she is the main reason why I went to my appointment and I don't regret it at all. I run late, I cancel and reschedule last minute, but no matter what I am always welcomed with a smile. I recently broke my partial in half . I was sure they were going to tell me I had to pay for a new one. Well nope I was v wrong theu sent it out to be fixed and ut was ready next day. Irrefutably the worst experience I've ever had in a dental office. I called first to get an appointment and the biller guy claims they don't take my insurance. So I walk in next morning to clarify that they are in-network with my insurance. He claims I have to pay out of pocket 100% and that they don't take my insurance. I call my insurance agent, then call him to verify and he tells them the same thing!! Then my agent tells me to hand my phone to him to discuss and he refuses. He also lied about coverage and stood his ground. His incompetence and rudeness is disgusting and the fact that he turned me away because he couldn't get more as a PPO patient made me sick to my stomach. They wouldn't even look at my insurance cards! Never EVER go here, they will lie and try to do insurance fraud like all rest. read more

Their dentist opened my tooth told me that she took out the roots and actually she didn't I start having constant and severe pain i went back to her she gave me norco but the pain still there I saw 3dentist they all told me to go back to her and that they can't do anything to me unless I do a root canal when I called them to seek help the office manager told me that she did removed the nerfs and that I am not supposed to have pain he reach out to her she refused to come see me bcz it was a Saturday so I went to see her on Monday the office manager asked me what Am I supposed to do? I guess I had to ask this question. They want me to pay from my pocket the treatment so I told them I can't do it and left with the severe and constant pain. Norco that I didn't stop taking bcz of the constant pain that ruin my life, damaged my stomach. Now I am still dealing with the pain that started since she touched me the first day. I overdosed bcz of the medication I am taking for pain and saw a dentist today that tried to help me out (thing that their dentist could do but actually she didn't) and told me if the pain still there I have to removed. I've told that this is a dental malpractice and that u have to take action against this facility bcz all they care about is money. I ended up extracting the tooth bcz she did touched a nerf and nothing could help but extracting it. I don't understand how or why this establishment would get anything less than 5 stars. I was having the worst tooth pain, turned out i needed 2 root canals. I found them on yelp and called to make an appointment they took me in SAME DAY right away with no hesitation. I was in complete shock how much everyone here cared that i was in pain. They took me in right away when i got there and the doctor Lilit was the sweeeeeetest woman i have ever met. She was so caring, so gentle and so cautious with me. She was constantly asking if i was okay which made me feel so safe because i have never found a dentist i actually liked. I went for fillings, root canals and cleanings here and i would never ever go anywhere else. I actually enjoy coming here. The staff here is so friendly they're not just my dentists anymore they're like family! I recommend this office to everyone and anyone. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. The procedures didn't hurt AT ALLLLL and you can tell they love and care for their clients. If i can give them 20 stars i definitely will. Love it here!!!! read more

Poor and slow customer service. I was trying to make an appointment and the lady said she got me on file but she'll have to verify my membership and everything first and they'll call me back but I never heard back so I did call them back after a couple of days and guess what!!! I initially bought a groupon here for teeth cleaning and x rays. This is the first time ever seeing a groupon dentist where I wasn't upsold at ALL. It was suggested, without pressure, that I get Invisalign - but I actually do need my teeth straightened :-/ The dentist was kind and efficient, and while I hated the x ray process (I have sensitive gums and the bite-down part was irritating - and seemed like more x rays than I have ever had taken in the past), I knew at least they were thorough and the end result was beautiful. I just returned here after chipping my teeth, got a same-day appointment, and was prepared to pay $200-500 or so, but was told the chip was so small I only needed to smooth it out. $30. This place is fantastic. I'll come back to whiten my teeth soon and get Invisalign when I can afford that. read more

VERY unprofessional! i had to wait another 15 min for them to take pictures of my teeth... 2:30 they told me which teeth needed to be fixed.. the lady that was taking pics of my teeth accidently hit the object that was holding the plastic in place! If I found them on yelp I wouldn't of gone because I'm an idiot that goes by star reviews BUT IM GLAD I FOUND THEM ON GOOGLE INSTEAD BECAUSE THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!! I LOVE my dentist and I actually look forward to going lol (Can't believe that I said that) I don't do dentists and she could clearly tell I didn't go in years. I needed three root canals ten fills and six crowns (before this doctor I went else where I hated the one before they told me it's mandatory to get a whiting money eating people and they wanted to charge me 950 just for a root canal and 600 for a crown rip offs oh and the actual dentist didn't even whiten my teeth some other man did) this office told me what was needed and what would happen in the long run when someone doesn't get a crown after a root canal I listened and me being me I researched because I didn't like dentists, the less work in my mouth the better for me but turns out it's needed lol. On a plus side this place charges WAY less and I'm super thankful for that The office is very clean and neat I love it did I mention they use high end things new gadgets and etc The doctor made me feel comfortable. She told me what she was going to do before she started. She stops mid way to ask if I'm doing okay (no other dentist does that!) Do NOT go here, they are SCAMMY! First, a little about me so you know where I'm coming from -- I'm a professional woman in my mid 40s, and I worked in healthcare for 7 years. I have excellent dental health: I've never had a cavity, and I go to the dentist every 6 months. I also know my way around dental care: I've had two oral surgeries, 8 years of orthodontics, and cosmetic dentistry. I selected this dentist (Dr. Lilit Mirzoyan) after moving to the area because she was listed as a provider on my insurance and the office is within walking distance. The young lady on the phone and at the front desk was wonderful, friendly and professional -- inf act, everyone was friendly and polite on the surface. That's the extent of the good things I have to say. Red flag #1 -- I had to fill out mounds of paperwork, much of which involved 3-4 pages (doublesided) of legal releases and a blank (!) treatment plan. I hadn't even been seen yet! This is unusual and odd. Red flag #2 -- for several minutes while I was doing this, a man behind the front desk was having a very animated conversation with an older couple in Armenian about payments -- I don't speak Armenian but I understood the English words like "Medicare". Red flag #3 -- when they left, the man let me know my insurance is an HMO which isn't very good, and they have a special payment plan with Aaflac who comes by every Monday -- I only have to pay $150 and I get $1600 of additional coverage. Again, I hadn't even been seen yet. Red flag #4 -- I get taken back (45 minutes past my appointment time) and there are no rooms with dental stations, just 3-4 chairs separated by cabinets. The dentist was working on a woman nearby. If I spoke Armenian I would have understood everything they were saying. I believe this is a violation of HIPAA privacy law. I shouldn't be able to hear them talking about her medical care! Red flag #5 -- the hygienist got me settled and asked if I was having any pain. I said no, I'm just here for a cleaning and check up. She said sometimes people have cavities but they can't feel them. Red flag #6 -- she took SO MANY xrays! Normal practice is 4-6. I swear she took 10-12! Red flag #7 -- the dentist came in to look at my digital films (she and the hygienist stood behind me for a few minutes intently looking and discussing them in Armenian.) They then projected my films ON A HUGE FLAT SCREEN TV IN FRONT OF ME (convenient for scaring patients and selling them unneeded services) and tried to point out 2 cavities on either side of one of my eye teeth (there was nothing there). This was total bullshit!!! They encouraged me to have these drilled out so they don't get worse. I said no. The dentist meanwhile kept coming and going, chatting with other folks in the room, not even patients. Finally she came back while I was contemplating walking out. I said I wanted my cleaning and that was all. Red flag #8 -- she said since it was my first time, she recommended a deep cleaning and some medicine for my gums. I see the dentist every 6 months and don't need either special deep cleaning and medicine -- by this point I could tell they were just trying to find some ways to charge me for more than a cleaning for my excellent teeth. I said no again. She did the cleaning (which was very good, to be fair.). Red flag #9 as I was getting ready to leave the hygienist said AGAIN how it's important to get cavities taken care of early. I left, and no one even tried to schedule me for my next appointment. By the way, I spent TWO HOURS at the office for all that, and since my appointment a month ago, they've called me twice and not left a message. Maybe they want to catch me to try and scare me into getting my phantom cavities filled? DO NOT COME HERE THEY ONLY WANT YOUR MONEY, THEY ARE NICE BUT DO NOT GIVE COMPETENT CARE and likely are violating the law. I will be reporting them. read more

Hey guys, I've been seeing this dentist for about three years now and I just wanted to write a quick review. They have definitely worked with my budget and I have been struggling to even afford insurance recently and we all know getting to see the dentist does not fall of the top list of priorities, Arthur the owner has been very accommodating to my circumstances which I'm very happy about because the main dentist here Lily really is the most friendly dentist I have had so I am happy to be continuing to come here. Don't go here. Especially if you have Medi-Cal. They are salesmen, so all they care about is charging the Medi-Cal company, not patient care. First off, the cleaning: all they did was run some vibrating water pick over my teeth, no metal tools. After that, they told me I had 14 cavities that they had to drill out, and just started drilling. I (luckily) questioned them a little less than halfway through and ran. After consulting with an old family dentist back in PA, as well as a dentist referred by a friend (who I now pay cash for), NONE of the cavities they claimed as bad needed to be drilled. In fact they now weakened my teeth by drilling and I will have problems the rest of my life The fillings they DID give me we done too tight or too loose and I now need to have them redone. ADDITIONALLY, they missed ALL of my peridontal concerns, something that could ROT MY JAW BONES. I'm not an angry reviewer, this is after months of asking other people and getting second and third opinions, and none of the doctors I talked too agreed with the decisions these folks made. I wanted to like them, they were nice and smiling. But it's not enough to be nice if you are recommending things that will hurt your patient. They CLEARLY know it and they just don't care. I usually don't like going to the dentist I have the biggest fear of needles but Dr Mirzoyan is so gentle that I didn't feel anything and I go back with a smile on my face each and every time ! I really wanted to like this place. Dr.Lilit is sweet & funny. But my root canal took 5 sessions (1 month) to do and no one has that kind of time to spend over a month on a single tooth.. After 2 months post-op I have discomfort, and the crown used seems larger than needed as it is changing the anatomy of my mouth. She has also done fillings for me...those molars also feel discomfort when chewing gum/sticky food 2-3 months after my visit. I did mention these to her but was told "it would pass". Unfortunately a good personality goes only so far:/ won't be returning. & for the person who said they did a lot of ex-rays.. Yea that's because the assistant is clueless and aways lost when doing her job. It wasn't an attempt to be thorough but a lack of experience. Unfortunate. read more

I have had nothing but great experiences with West Dental Care. The office is impeccable, very clean, and the equipment is all new. The dentist, orthodontist, dental assistants, front desk workers and even the owner are very nice, professional and I feel very comfortable being there. I had some cavities and they did such an amazing job I actually fell asleep while she was working on me-no pain. I've told some friends who were looking for a dentist to go to West Dental and they like them to. So I'm not sure why there star level is so low.
