Finally made it in the other day.... i've noticed this place since we go to the movies next-door sometimes. But every time we would come , we had eaten already or rushing to the movies, etc. and I have just not made it in until now. As the first time customer , we were not even welcomed in , then we didn't even know where to look for the menu lol until we saw it on the wall trying to figure out what we wanted from reading the yelp reviews supposedly this place raves of great customer service I didn't get it today but it's OK. They can't be perfect. Every time I guess. Anyways, their pizza was really good. My husband and Son had a Caesar salad. I didn't care for it or tried it, but they loved it. (I think it was a Caesar. I'm not sure some kind of salad.) Again, serve wasn't there, but the food was great. Of course I would like to come back for more. There is Small seating inside, but they're outside. Pros: fresh ingredients, tasty pizza, yummy Caesar salad and dressing. Cons: super soggy crust, tip machine starts at 20%, lettuce a little wilted, but not brown. I find it absolutely insane that a FAST-CASUAL restaurant would START THE LOWEST tipping button at 20%. The only thing the staff does for service is bring the food to your table and bus afterwards. You get your own utensils, your own drink and refills, and you order at the counter. The audacity of starting the tipping buttons at 20% for that is insane. It's part of a greedy mindset that turns me off from any fast -casual business that would do this. And that's asking for a minimum of 20% off a fairly expensive meal. I don't blame the restaurant for that. Everything is expensive these days, but I certainly wouldn't call the food a value, just on the expensive side of fair. read more

Wanted to try a new pizza place and remembered passing this on the way to a book off lol. Pizza was huge for a medium and served very quick. Try the spice shakers they put on your table. This place is a small Mom Pop store. I have been wanting to try it for so long and when a flyer came in to my home for a Bogo, I decided why not? It's located in a new strip mall close to the west Grove movie theater starlight . As I ordered this well done, there is a steady stream of customers ordering their pizza. It was really tasty and I am impressed with how professional the staff were. Absolutely gracious guys working in the back. The dough was that perfect balance of crispy and chewy, and the flavor was on point. You can tell right away that they care about quality here. The owner is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and you really feel that local, family-owned charm. After seeing West Grove Pizza featured on KTLA news, my husband suddenly decided we had to try it -- apparently my months of saying I'd heard it was great didn't quite carry the same weight! We went for dinner and ordered a large pizza: half Big Kahuna for my husband and half Brooklyn Bridge for my son and me, along with a glass of wine for me and a beer for the boys. We grabbed a table outside on the nice little patio, which made for a perfect evening. Well... my husband immediately started eating my half of the pizza and loved it so much that we ended up ordering another large pie -- yes, another Brooklyn Bridge -- and not a single slice was left by the end of the night. The crust alone deserves recognition: easily one of the best-tasting pizza crusts we've had. I've heard the gelato is top notch, but after the boys demolished two large pizzas, dessert was simply not happening. We'll definitely be back soon to try the New York Bagel Deluxe. So my husband won't let us order from here anymore after tonight because he says it's always so slow. I love their pizza and wings, but sadly he's right and tonight was our last chance for this place. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Tonight we placed an online order for pick up. Time said 20 min. Called the restaurant to confirm after placing the order, and they said it was busy so they needed an extra 20 minutes. So 20 + 20 = 40, last time I checked. Cool. Fast forward to an hour after our order was placed and our order still isn't ready. This also means my husband has been waiting at the restaurant for 20+ min when he could have been waiting comfortably at home. I get that they're a local business and we should support them, I also get that their food is good, but I feel like any reputable restaurant should (1) better be able to estimate how long it takes to make an order and (2) make an order in a reasonable time. If they can't handle the pace, maybe they shouldn't accept online orders at all? There's lots of competition for pizza...they've been open long enough to have it together. Tonight we ordered a salad, a pizza, and wings. After waiting over an hour for our food, was it at least good? The jury's still out. I mean, what does food that takes 67 minutes to make have to taste like to justify the wait? I'm not sure, but this wasn't it. Ran out of the sauce I ordered for my wings, so in the trash they went. Bye bye, $18. Salad wasn't what we ordered so there's another $8. Pizza was overcooked so there's another fail. Maybe our order would've been ready sooner if they didn't overcook the pizza. Sigh. The staff greeted us warmly, though they seemed pretty busy & were starting to close a little early for the holiday. Ordering is done at the counter, and they'll bring the food to your table. There's both indoor & outdoor seating. Since it was a gorgeous day, we chose to sit outside. The tables were clean & sturdy. We even got to catch some early firework action from the neighborhood. Perfect vibe! MY ORDER: [2] NEW YORK DELUXE PIZZA I'm usually a variety person, but this slice was so good, I had to go back for seconds. The crust was perfectly crisp with a slight doughy chew, not too heavy. The garlicky finish & the EVERYTHING SEASONING took it to the next level. Dip it in ranch... game changer. The homemade meatballs were fine, I was expecting more flavor from them. The bottom of the pizza was surprisingly wet for a freshly made pizza. Overall, this is a really expensive 18" pizza for just an okay flavor profile. I'm sure if there were enough tomato sauce it'd be at least a 4/5. First let's start with the incredible service, from samples of the Gelato, great advice on the menu, and checking in on how the food is- their team is top notch and make you feel like a valued customer. They are the real showcase here... besides the delicious pizza ofcouse. I don't think I will ever be fully satisfied by another pizza again unless it has everything but the bagel seasoning on its crust like this place offers. It's so good. Highly recommend. Not sure why it has taken so long to give this place a try. We shared a two slice combo. Great price! Two pizza slices and drink. We chose cheese and pepperoni. Texture, sauce and cheese were on point. We also gave the garlic knots a try. Very tasty. Would love to try some fresh out of the oven. The ambiance was chill and the music playing was right up our alley. Late 80s, early 90s blend. Service was also notable. Had a chance to try this spot today and it hit the spot! I'm always on the hunt for a place to grab a slice and I'm so glad this spot is a close distance to me. There was no wait at 5pm, and it took a few minutes for them to heat up my slices in the oven and bring it out to me. Your slice choice varies on what's available. Out of my options I chose pepperoni and margherita. Lots of seating inside and outside, and several huge TV screens. I loved that they were playing Anthony Bourdain's show! The service here is awful. We tried to go when they did a soft opening. We saw the owner post the soft opening hours on Facebook and went. When we got there an hour after they were supposed to be open they were still closed. I went on the post and commented how they weren't open and the owner responded rudely then quietly changed the posted hours. We said we wouldn't come back because of how rude they were. Well today we decided to give them another chance because we heard they sold by the slice and had beer. So we showed up at 4:30. Went to west grove pizza last night with my husband and it was amazing! My husband ordered the Brooklyn pizza it was cooked perfectly . The bagel crust is one of the best we have had . I ordered the pesto pasta with chicken and it was also very good. I liked the creaminess of the sauce and enjoyed every bite . My husband had a craft beer and I had a glass of wine . Which made it a perfect paring with our dinner. We finished up with a delicious cup of gelato, which they make in house ! It was super yummy! The service was excellent too "I really appreciated the way the staff were working under pressure as fast as they could to get the food out with such a busy crowd" .
