Finally checked out West Hill Deli! Absolutely loved their food and ambiance. For food, we got the adobo pork belly (comes with macaroni salad, rice, and vegetables on the side) and the pandan fried chicken (comes with rice and veggies on the side). Pandan was super crispy and rice was soft, not mushy. Adobo was rich in garlic and in smoky and sweet flavor. Love they kept the fat on some adobo pieces. Each dish was just enough for us to finish for breakfast. For drinks, we ordered the calamansi juice and calamansi iced tea. Both taste great. Side notes: You order up front, bring your table number, and sit wherever you like. They will bring you your food. Once youre done, please put your food away in the back, which is located on the left hand side of the deli if youre facing the deli at the entryway. It was busy on a Sunday around noon. A few were available but was filled quickly after about half an hour of us arriving. People tend to spend time here. About an hour if youre just there to have a quick meal, but families were gathering and spending time with no rush which i loved. No waitress or waiter to check on you, just only to bring you your food which took a reasonable 2 minutes for drinks and about 10 - 15 for food. Overall, we definitely recommend! read more

I also tried the garlic fried rice with longanisa and eggs, which was really good too. The longanisa had that nice sweet-savory balance, and the garlic rice was fragrant and comforting, though I'd still pick the sisig if I had to choose between the two. Parking isn't the best if it's full. My only negative point is no à la carte options. I wanted just one pancake, I already ordered a meal but wanted to try the ube pancake. Then I wanted to try one Spanish roll and one ube roll as it said sold in pairs but could not mix. Which again was just trying to try things. This one is def in rotation for brunch. This place is a must try. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. The vibe is low key, lots of people just getting up and getting there to eat. Ample seating. You order, find a table and get a number. They will bring it to you. The pancakes were so good and warm with ube butter and syrup. The Benedict was delicious too. And the pork belly was so good. The food here is a must try! Very comforting and savory. I've tried multiple items from here and never had something I did not like. The ube smoothie is something I have to get EVERY SINGLE TIME so make sure to try it out! I literally have gone into the store for just the smoothie before. It's that good! One of my favorite Filipino food spots. I always get the Adobo Fried Rice with Egg. You get to choose your style of egg but I go with scrambled. The nice rich flavor of the Adobe is delicious. I also get the Toasted Coconut Waffles. One i love is their nice and crunchy with a great coconut flavor. I do would like to try the Buko Pandan for dessert sometime but they were sold out when I went. Its one of my favorite Filipino desserts. read more

Such good food, good vibes, and a fun time whenever I come here, I usually would order their lumpia, adobo fried rice & eggs, taho, etc. me and my family go here from time to time since it's somewhat nearby and almost had tried half the things in the menu and honestly a great comfort food especially if you love Filipino food. They were super quick with getting your order and getting your food out, they'll personally hand you your items which is nice and then you get to put them away afterwards. Today we got the crispy pork belly bowl, arrozcaldo, small side of ube pancakes and beef tapa. I didn't try the pork bowl, however it was very crispy looking. The arrozcaldo was good. The tapas were okay, I think they use similar bases for their meat marinades (a touch sweet orange). The pancakes come with ube butter and ube syrup. Overall everything is okay, I think the price points are affordable. Nothing stood out to me personally. The service is direct and limited interactions with staff (go up, order, sit and wait). Ambiance 3/5 The inside was pretty big with a good amount of seating. There's windows all along one side of the restaurant so there's a good amount of natural lighting and you can look out into the street. There's a mural above the counter but the interior and seating was kinda basic. There's also a counter for ice cream by the side. After ordering, the food and drinks were quick to come out (again, probably because we were some of the only people there at the time). I ordered the Chicken & Ube Waffles while the rest of the table ordered Ube Pancakes, Adobo Fried Rice & Eggs, Beef Steak Tapa & Eggs, Tocino & Fried Eggs, and the Ube French Toast. I really enjoyed my dish! The chicken was tender - I was pleasantly surprised considering chicken tenderloin cuts usually end up being pretty dry. The waffles were good - just a little dry and crunchy for my taste. Adding the ube dip did help though! Out of all the ube things we ordered, I think the best was the pancakes! You could really taste the ube flavor, and adding the ube syrup/dip made the flavor come through even more. In second place would be the ube french toast and third would be the ube waffles. Great addition to have in Auburn! Took my little brother and son here for breakfast on a Saturday morning at 10:00am, surprisingly the restaurant was pretty empty. For the food we ordered the Benedict and the chicken and waffle - the Benedict was decent and the waffles and chicken the kids enjoyed. The price is average, however what left me feeling underwhelming was the ordering cafe style with options to tip 18%+ at the counter for "bus your own table" while staff were not busy. I have been craving for some good Filipino breakfast food so decided to come here for brunch. As my partner and I entered the restaurant, we were greeted by the friendly ladies behind the counter. The restaurant was big and bright, with plenty of seatings. They offered menus via paper, QR code, and wall menu display. Can't go wrong with any methods lol. The menu had a lot of offerings but I knew what I wanted to try. You basically order at the counter then the staff will bring the food to your table. Here are my thoughts of each dishes ordered. Ube iced coffee: It was good and not overly sweet. You can taste the ube syrup was homemade. Wish the coffee was a tad bid stronger. Can't complain since it's less than $6. Tocino plate: I thought the meat was sweetly marinated well and packed with flavors. It goes so well with the fried egg and garlic rice. I will definitely order this again. Sisig plate: I love eating sisig but sometimes you just can't finish the whole plate since it is a heavy dish. I like how the portion size was enough to keep you full and not feel bloated in the end. I really enjoyed this dish just so I can try other dishes. Ube pancakes: This was by far the best ube pancakes I've ever had! It comes with whipped ube butter and ube syrup. I love the fact that it's not too sweet and it didn't feel heavy at all. This is a must order item! Overall, a very nice hidden gem out in Auburn. First and foremost, the service here is so friendly! We were welcomed with a smile and kindness. There is a good variety of filipino food, including breakfast all day. We ordered the pork sisig, beef nilaga, and kare kare. All these dishes had so much flavor! I do have to point out that they were prepared in a healthy way. The extra fat and oils were trimmed out. Ube latte without being mixed is sweet and flavorful, but after mixing can be dull and lackluster of a semi flavored latte. Having worked in the area a couple years ago, this was my favorite spot to go for on lunch break. I was always well greeted and enjoyed the wide variety in options of sandwiches to rice dishes. Personal favorites include the bourbon pulled pork sandwich with hearty amounts of pork and their seasonal sandwich the salmon BLT.
