Great bar. I love dive bars and this was listed at the top dive bar in Roseville. This spot says been there since 1906. Entered the double doors and it was beyond my expectations. Large bar, pool table, lots of TVs, patio area. The bartender was very friendly and attentive. I guess the biggest complaint I've seen was they charge $5.50 fee if you use a credit card. If that bothers you then bring cash. Good crowd and atmosphere for the football game I was there to watch. Wasn't much of a dive at all. Great bar. I will be back. read more

We got invited to attend our friends 40th birthday they were in downtown Rosville . Honestly, I wasn't sure what to expect. I don't really go to a lot of dive bars. I have to say I was impressed !!! So they don't have a menu but they have very good liquor at the bar. They had one of my favorite beers from revision which is called Reno as F .. They have Pool tables and a music player where u can pay for the songs you want . I like the music people were selecting my group of friends even danced and sang to most of them . This establishment was pretty clean and organized the restrooms are nice and clean lol . Sorry but it matters . It was a good crowd of people . The bartenders were all very friendly. This place gets pretty packed and the music is loud. I have to say that is what I like about it . Fun fact this is one of the oldest bar in Placer County. Family owned for more then 100 years . Overall we had a blast here last night . I loved the music and the vibe . Prices are super reasonable . I had a great time with a lot of my friends . Only bummed I didn't take any pics here! We came here last weekend with a pretty big group on a pre game of a wedding and found this place to be pretty awesome! We used to live in Roseville and have seen this place transform over the years from total dive bar to what it is today. Love the openness and on the night we were there they had all the garage doors open and had all the seating open inside and out. Place is super clean inside and out as well and the bar staff was great! My dad taught me a long time ago to throw down a huge tip and just tell the bartender make us a priority and that's what they did. It was a special night celebrating my daughter and her husband to be, friends and family. For sure a great spot in down town Roseville and to be honest like this side of the railroad tracks....lol if your from here you will know what I am talk about. Came in here because a friend said they had happy hour everyday but we saw the sign only said M-F on the bar. Didn't matter since we were only coming in for one drink before heading to dinner and I checked in and they had a $4.50 deal for Jack or Crown on Yelp check in, so that worked for me. Nice and attentive bartenders. Even though they were a little busy they would still come check on you and my friends liked their drinks too. (Long Island ice tea and Jamison on the rocks) they have plenty of seating and noticed even more further back we lucked out and found the last three stools together at the bar. Nice place and so close to the restaurants in the area and definitely priced better that they are on drinks so come check em out. read more

As far as I know this is the only bar in Roseville that charges $5.50 if you have to use a debit or credit card to pay. West House is another excellent low key bar located in downtown Roseville, which I have found is almost too nice to call a dive bar. The bar entrance is on a side street. The establishment itself was welcoming with a bar and side table areas. Our bartender Tex provided excellent service and was quite knowledgeable regarding the history of Wes House in Roseville. This definitely a bar I would recommend arriving solo to meet up with friends, and/or make new friends. read more

I went to West House on father's day, requested a drink with Tito's vodka, the bartender insisted on making my drink with the house vodka - She did say if you don't like it I'll remake it. The point was that I specifically requested Tito's vodka and she didn't care. My friend ordered her 2nd beer and asked the bartender to please make sure that the beer was cold because her 1st beer wasn't. The bartender said that she denied that it was.... This place could be so cool if it wasn't for the dive bar drunkards that propagate it. I felt uncomfortable the moment I walked in. There's a group of guys screaming expletives as a trivia game and instead of silencing them the bartender was playing with them. So we sat outside commenting how the remodel is one of the coolest in Roseville. Unfortunately the vibe is still dive bar scary. The bartenders here are personable and keep you away from trouble. I have never had any issues coming here. They have a jukebox and very nice bathrooms. The crowd since I have gone are very respectable and always nice. Nothing like the other bars. They are always accommodating and can sell alcohol through a grandfathered in license to take home with you. I do miss the old bar though. The private one in the back with the stripper pole. Bad beers on tap. No beer list or any kind of selection. Everything is just kind of all over the place like a teenagers room and the drinks were all really off tasting like missing things in them. All the people that were there were pretty annoying too like smoking cigarettes by the side door at the door and leaving the door open literally blowing smoke into the bar and nobody was even there to say anything to them like why not smoke your cigarette inside. I returned to this place on my birthday this year after a very long time and I'm really liking it under the new owners. I used to spend many nights of my early twenties here and it was usually a trashy shit show lol but they've come a long way since then and really cleaned the place up! They've invested in a remodel and quality bar tenders (specifically Jimmy!) who are super friendly and fun. Pool table at the back of the bar, flat screen tvs mounted on the walls (would be awesome for football Sundays), TouchTunes juke box (live music sometimes on the weekends) and inexpensive drinks. It's a nice, small neighborhood bar which is just my speed these days. If you're lookin' for the club or a wild night out, this is not the place for you. West House is slowly becoming my new favorite close-to-home bar again compared to the other Old Roseville bars; I won't name names but let's just say, I can no longer tolerate wasted 22 year olds who can't handle their cuervo and jägerbombs. read more

Was here Sunday with some friends and my service dog, who is in training. To keep a long story short the owner is horrible and doesn't care that he is breaking the law by not allowing access with a service dog. We were there for about 2 hours with no issues until a homeless man came up and was asking for a cigarette, my dog is trained to keep strangers at a distance. She did a few warning barks and the guy left. Shortly after that a bartender came out and said that the owner wants us to leave. When we went to leave I attempted to have a civil conversation with him and let him know that my service dog is protected by the ADA and before I could even finish my sentence was met with a rude "I don't give a F**K, this is my bar and dogs aren't allowed in here" All the while a woman with a dog in her lap was sitting at the bar next to him. The bartender was drunk taking shots with her friends and she was having a conversation with her friend and because I came up there to order more shots, she cussed me out and I was just trying to order 1942 but the bartender had her friend Harassed us and try to kick us out FOR TRYING TO ORDER A DRINK! No one was following safety rules. she didn't even check our IDS, and the bouncer said don't worry about it we aren't checking ids tonight. she didn't disinfect anything. This was the very, very first bar I have ever been to, yet alone in Roseville. I went here for a graduation party, not really knowing what to expect, since I have never been in bars before. It was a Saturday night and I parked on the side of the bar, got my ID ready, opened the door, but no one checked my ID or age, so that was the first for me. As I walked in, there were two pool tables in the back and a bar right in front of the entrance, and another bar in the back, which was where my party was. I noticed though that there were only about 6-7 people in the front bar, which I thought was weird, because wow, it was pretty dead in there. I made my way towards the back of the room and my boyfriend ordered us a couple of drinks. I'm not even sure if they actually checked for IDs, so weird. The night got weirder when I found out that one of the guests at the graduation party was only 19 years old and she was insanely drunk. That just made me realize that this place isn't really too strict about checking IDs if someone at that age was already drunk at 11:00pm. Another weird thing for me was the bathroom. I had to go number one and as soon as I closed the door, I notice that the door is seriously only inches away from your face while you're doing your business. I felt pretty claustrophobic in there... Basically, two stars because even though it was my first bar, I feel like I have already experienced better, the bathroom door being all up in my grill was weird, and it was pretty dead for a Saturday night (then again, maybe because it's Roseville), and because drinks are pretty darn expensive (2 shots and a beer for $25). read more
