I have been coming here semi regularly since I moved to Roseville in 2019. They have some typical bar food and some original choices and food is above average bar food and one reasons I keep coming back. Food is ordered at bar and brought to with friendly service. They have a bar area, table area, lounge area and patio area that is well shaded. Well, today the authentic look, texture and flavor of the corned beef was spot on and back! Missing the corned beef plate but they have some creative options to enjoy(e) the taste and it was a really nice lunch! Sandwich was hot when delivered-even fogged up my glasses! Bread was nicely grilled and the cheese melty. Really great sando and very filling! Great to know it's back to more of the quality and taste we fell in love with. They're Fish and Chips and their clam chowder are amazing, not to mention other things on their menu that these are a must try item like the Brussels sprout salad.. 2.5 stars Interesting place but not like any other Irish pubs we've been to. The decorations and lights were neat and the environment was comfortable and chill but it wasn't a fun place if that makes sense. We went for dinner on a Friday night - maybe the fun happens later? We ordered fish and chips and clam chowder as well as onion rings to share between the two of us. It was all only ok. The fish wasn't flavorful at all. Thankfully the tarter sauce was delicious - probably the best I've ever had. The chowder was too spicy for me (I sadly don't enjoy pepper spicy but it was also weird in a clam chowder). The fries seemed like they were going to be something special but they arrived lukewarm and were meh. We paid extra for the garlic parmesan version - we found pieces of parm on the bottom of the plate - like they were just set there and fries set on top - and they added absolutely none of the good flavor normally found in garlic Parmesan fries. The onion rings were decent but over cooked, a few pieces burnt. Randy enjoyed his beer. We ordered at the counter and the food was delivered shortly after. It wasn't anything special so we won't be back. read more

Tried this place recently because of a fb recommendation for the salad. I got the fish and chips. Absolutely amazing. Hope when I go back it will be just as good. Very disappointed with the service. The guy at the register (a big fellow) treated our questions with disdain, arrogance, and general "I don't care" attitude. Only 3 small tasters of beer because " soon you'll be drinking a whole beer" response. This place is old, but outside looks like a garbage dump. Will not return. read more

If you haven't been here for St. Pattys Day it's a must ! Door opens early great bands ! Great vibes and amazing food due to the city and noise ordinance they have to shut the fun down early 8:45pm/9pm not the owners or employees fault bummer but always a blast. People complain about a cover but they don't understand the business side of things when you have to flip the bill for multiple bands to entertain your guests and stage and rental equipment pay staff extra staff extra security etc. A great small business in our town that continues to thrive due to the community support on days and events like this and of course awesome staff who is very welcoming and friendly. read more

I've had this on my list of places to try for a while now but never made it out until today. The wife and I couldn't think of what to eat and we're watching The Best Food Review Show on that bastard Sonny was doing a fish and chips special. That made me remember about this place's Fish and Chips as it has been suggested multiple times on local community forums. I was expecting a complete shit show coming in on a Friday night at 6:30, but it was mostly empty. We sat at the bar and we're promptly served. Service in general was pretty quick but upon ordering the fish and chips we were warned of a 45 minute wait as the fryer was backed up.... Considering the bar was more than half empty that's a bit concerning as most everything on the menu is fried or has a fried component....I couldn't even imagine if the place was packed. Either way though, I don't think we waited the full 45 minutes before the food came out and I have to say, it's easily the best fish and chips I've had in a VERY long time. The fish was nice and crunchy, thick, flaky, and moist. I don't know if the tartar sauce is house made but that shit was amazing. The fries were also very good. Not your normal fry....fresh cut, not frozen, well seasoned, but not shitty like In-N-Out fries. My only small gripe is it is a bit pricey by a few bucks on most of the food items, but all in all a pleasant experience. read more

I used to enjoy this place for its food and atmosphere, but with the newer partner, I can't say that I'm impressed. We held a 50th surprise birthday party here and Joe could not answer simple questions such as "what is on the catering trays?" "Whatever's available" should not be an answer. Friendly enough service in this classic Irish pub. Solid beer selection, as expected. Fish & Chips, while not the best I've ever had, is certainly top-tier in the area. Fish is fresh and clean tasting and cooked correctly so as not to be too greasy or soggy. I would prefer a bit more salt and the potion was quite small. The fries are the real standout. Fresh cut shoestring fries that are seasoned to perfection. I would go back for those alone. The big negative was the tiny, sad house salad priced at $9. Definitely not worth it. I've now tried this place out twice, love the food, drinks, atmosphere and service. Not sure if it's the owner behind the bar, but he seems to be there often and so friendly. I've noticed it has a real "Cheers" vibe! A place to go where everybody knows your name! This place will be great for St. Patty's celebrations, lots of Irish nostalgia decorating the walls. As others in reviews have also said, this bar is pretty loud. They had live music come in later and that was a huge plus for my SO and I. The drinks were good and well named. We're not really beer people, but they have a full bar, so we were able to get hard drinks too. The staff didn't seem negligent or choosy to me. They seemed to perk up at new faces and be eager to help, so I'm not sure where the other reviews here were coming from. They also had a bowling arcade game that seemed fun, but we didn't play. Immediately when my friends and I walked in, it felt like we were outsiders who weren't welcome. We explored a bit and went to sit down on the couches over towards the end of the bar before the dining room area. The decor is super cool, the art and funny pictures everywhere were great, the couches were comfortable however, the owner came by and made snarky clearly passive-aggressive comments to my friends and I which made us feel very unwanted. We were having a great time getting ready to order some food and drinks because we were super hungry after a long meeting until the owner came by and made some snarky comments which made us ultimately leave immediately afterwards.
