I haven't been as lucky as others at West Lake Auto. I bought a 2010 Silverado in August of 2023. There is an electrical issue and a oil pressure issue. The truck has been in the shop for four of the last six months I've owned it. I've taken the truck to West Lake Auto twice and to a dealership in Healdsburg once. No one can find out why the truck just goes dead. It's a dangerous vehicle and all I want is my money back. Tom has been very kind to me. The owner was supposed to call me January 20th. I'm still waiting. Now I have to hire an attorney. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP! POOR MANAGEMENT! I've been a resident of Lake County for 44 years, a Business Owner, and a Rotary member. I was forced to pay other dealerships to find out what was wrong with the vehicle as I work out of county. West Lakes Auto's Owner, Heath, even drove it and said there was shaking. Metal crunching even after one item was fixed with the owner of West Lake Auto. Had another inspection I paid for, and Discovered the Engine was NOT properly attached to the vehicle. The Motor mounts cracked and were bad. Brought it back to West Lake Auto, and the mechanic spotted it right off and showed me the cracked motor mount. So basically, they sold the car to me with the Engine not attached properly to the vehicle. They wanted to charge me over $500 to fix an original issue they stated they would fix. TOM, the sales manager, never returns phone calls and the awesome office representative stated that TOM is always too busy. I do really like the vehicle, but it's pulling teeth to get this place to coordinate any type of communication. read more

We have purchased 2 cars from this dealership and have been happy with each purchase! Our first purchase was back in 07 and we will be handing this car down to our 16 year old in January. The owner goes above and beyond for his customers and community. We have purchased two cars from this dealership, had a lift kit put on our truck, purchased new tires regularly, routine maintanance done as well as specialty work done on vehicles that we have purchased elsewhere. In April, I purchased my second vehicle from West Lake Auto. It had just arrived to the lot and had some minor front end damage. The owner replaced the damaged fender at no additional cost. My most recent experience was just last month. I work at the local school and while dropping his student off, the owner noticed my tires had no tread left on them. He called to inform me he had an opening and could pick up my vehicle, at work, and return it to me by end of day. I told him how truly appreciative I was for this service and his response "we just want our customers safe!". I have been a happy customer of West Lake Auto since 2007. read more

worst car lot in the county. nothing but scam artists that sell p.o.s. cars. bought a car from these fools, the next day engine light came on. so i took the car back and was told by the bearded scam artist owner after he put it on the diognostic that it needed a new timing belt and radiator. he said he could fix it for more money. so after paying 6000.00 dollars in cash for a car he wanted me to pay him again to fix the pos he sold me. to make it worse he gave me a price quote and wanted to charge me 400 dollars for a refurbed radiator, so i checked on line and found a new one for 125.00 with free shipping. so he was trying to screw me again. just plain wrong. I have nothing good to say about this business or it's owner. They sold me a 4x4 pu that the four wheel drive did not work be cause they had stripped a part off of it to fix another truck. they tried changing my paperwork for the $2,000.00 I had financed and I have never recieved my pink slip after my contract was fullfilled. I have purchased vehicles here off and on for my family, relatives and even recommended them to my friends and co-workers. All were reasonably priced and mechanically sound. If there was a question, that question was quickly rectified. I currently have a great commuter car (2003 mini cooper) that runs like a top, gets over 30 miles to the gallon in mountain driving and have not had ANY issues with this vehicle. I have purchased and traded over a dozen cars over the years here due to the wide variety of choices. I currently have 7 autos and trucks that I am responsible for and 4 are from Westlake Auto (others are new) and when its time, I am looking forward doing business with Westlake Auto. Their staff is pleasant to work as well as knowledgeable in their departments. Its nice to conduct business in offices that are clean and welcoming. Oh...and by the way, my friends and co-workers that have purchased vehicles from Westlake Auto STILL drive them and have had no complaints.
