Wonderful center for healing and wellness!! I've been a few times to participate in the yoga offerings taught by Halle Miroglotta. She's an incredibly warm, patient and fun teacher to explore yoga with and the class size here is small enough to get a great deal of personal assists and adjustments in the postures during class. She takes the time before and after class to connect with her students and makes sure that the experience is beneficial for each person. Caring and skilled hands. This pretty much sums up my experience with Jodi at West Loop Spine & Stability. Before going here, I went to another Chiro center and received what perceived to be average service. Just your standard snap, crackle, pop treatments. Just to be fair, I also received some TENS therapy too but there was no discussed / emphasized efficacy. My experience at West Loop Spine & Stability pushed the bar even higher and has been nothing but excellent. Jodi provided healing services which were beyond what I had expected. The manipulations she performs and TENS/Ultrasound therapy is explained thoroughly and with purpose. I was happy to hear the therapies explained so I knew what I was getting. After spending a handful of sessions with her, I can comfortably say that she truly cares for her patients and takes pride in seeing progress with them just as much as seeing the practice grow. If I could give Jodi, 10 out of 5 stars I would. I met Jodi at the Bright Pink Fundraising event. Since so many people were requesting contact information, I was using an old outdated email address when filling out paperwork. After my BRIEF session with Jodi, I asked for my paperwork back so that I could update it with current contact information! I have seen Jodi for 3 visits now. She spends the ENTIRE session with her patient. A full 45 minutes of her undivided attention! She prides herself on knowing her patients and their health goals intimately. I instantly felt comfortable with Jodi and think of her as a friend. I initially began seeing her for a combination of neck/shoulder pain, low back pain, and tennis elbow. The tennis elbow issue had been in effect for 9 months. At this point, I was starting to accept that this was a lifelong injury I would always have. Within 2 sessions, Jodi had eliminated so much pain that I could go back to my normal yoga routine and even chattaranga (sp??) was back in my wheelhouse of possibilities!!! Within any given session, she uses a combination of massage, stretching, chiropractic adjustment, cupping, gua sha (I THINK this is what she used on my tennis elbow!! Absolutely miraculous). I leave feeling like a million bucks and cannot stop telling all my friends and coworkers about her. The best part?? My insurance totally covers all of it and I don't even have a co-pay!! I started seeing her weekly after years of consistent shoulder and upper back pain, and she managed to make the adjustments and recommendations needed to completely alleviate my pain. So I finally decided to check out a chiropractor for my semi-chronic back pain due to an injury several years ago. I lift and move heavy things at work all day everyday so I was having a hard time keeping the pain at bay. I saw Annette McKinney DC, MSOM. She is very friendly and knowledgeable. I saw her a total of 6 times over two weeks. During my visits she did several spinal manipulations, some heat therapy, ultrasound therapy, electrical stimulation, and cupping. I'm willing to try any crazy sounding stuff if it helps with the pain (although I don't think the cupping did anything)... First let me say that two weeks before starting at the chiropractor, I started working out my core, and paying more attention to my body mechanics at work and lifting less. That being said - my back pain has been substantially improved. Was it the chiropractor? Was it the working out? Was it lifting less? Probably a combination of all of he above. The one therapy that I felt I benefited the most from was the ultrasound therapy, but she only used that on my first visit. Perhaps because unlike the cupping and the electrical stimulation, she couldn't just put it on and leave it there. I don't know. My first visit was about 45 minutes long and they were 30 minutes long after that. Annette was very professional but the reason I didn't give five stars is that once I felt that my pain was improved and our initial plan on 6 visits was complete, I felt pressured to continue seeing her in more of a preventative way. This was not what we had initially agreed to and she was very forceful in her attempt to persuade me to schedule more appointments and continue seeing her. In top of that she portrayed herself as a different kind of chiropractor at the beginning, one who doesn't try to get her patients to keep coming back indefinitely. It turns out that may not be the case... I also saw Kennisha LMT for back messages on two occasions. She gives a great message and I plan on returning to see her. read more

The only problem I have with WLSS is that sometimes the paper towels in the bathroom come out at a weird angle and give the illusion that there are no paper towels in the dispenser. Yes, that's right - that is the ONLY complaint with WLSS. This office has really raised the bar for what I will expect from not only chiropractors, but medical providers in general. The basics: - Online booking (great for future planning or last minute needed appointments) - Chiropractors + massage therapists + physical therapist in the same office (Side note: Kennisha gives the most AMAZING, AMAZING massages.) The above and beyond: - Open communication and extremely responsive over email and phone - Transparent about insurance and billing - Put together a plan for sustainability and strength that doesn't involve going back to their office for multiple visits for an indefinite period of time This is not one of those offices where it's a quick adjustment and you're out the door -- they really take the time to personalize treatment and care. I have been a patient with Dr. Ries for a few years now. I first came in with chronic back pain and sciatica caused by 5 bulged disks in my lumbar. Dr. Ries was not the first chiropractor that I have visited, but he was the first to try new techniques and methods until I found relief and am pain and symptom free, instead of trying the same things over and over. He will definitely be the last chiropractor that I see as long as we are both in Chicago. He went way beyond the normal scope of what any normal chiropractor would've done; including helping me find a very reasonably priced MRI. Having been in the worst pain imaginable without an end in sight, he never gave up and kept my confidence up that there would be a time where I was symptom free and kept me working towards the goal. I saw Dr. Jodi for debilitating lower back pain that came on all of a sudden. I could barely function. She was amazing! It only took a couple treatments to see improvement and in a couple weeks I was back to my normal self! I don't want to be overly dramatic, but Dr. McKinney is a miracle worker. I've had three appointments in three weeks. I went because I was suffering from cluster headaches and if you know anything about them they are horrible. I was at wits end and they only seemed to be getting worse, so I decided to try something new. I've done my research and I heard what my doctor said, and I know that science says that a chiropractor isn't supposed to fix them, but these visits have truly helped and my headaches have all but gone away. I started seeing Jodi last year after developing wrist pain due to repetitive use at work. Not having much experience with chiropractic care, I was pretty skeptical that seeing a chiropractor would be helpful with wrist issues, but I am so glad I gave it a chance. Dr. Jodi is a great chiropractor and I fully trust her suggestions and treatment methods. For me, she uses a mix of traditional chiropractic treatments as well as alternative treatments to solve my tendonitis. I stand all day at work and she was able to work out the little twinges and soreness that I didn't even realize was bothering me all that much. She's great at working out at treatment plan and schedule to sustain the wellness over a long period of time. She remembers everything about your issue and is fun to talk with throughout the session. I work out of state for part of the year and she went so far as to find a chiropractor in my area that she knew and referred me to them for the months that I was away. I've only stopped going to her because I've moved out of state, but every time I'm back for a visit I make sure to schedule and appointment with Dr. Jodi! I think her pricing is really fair and definitely a bargain for the treatment that I've received. (She takes insurance!) I was seeing a physical therapist before for another injury and asked him to help with shoulder pain I was having. It didn't seem to help much so I figured there was something else going on. I had never been to a Chiropractor before so I didn't quite know what to expect. Jodi helped me figure out it was actually something going on with my spine, not my shoulder. I learned about Jodi through a referral from a coworker. I was very hesitant because I am very particular about chiropractors and feel like some of them have bad practices, but that most are good. I went to Jodi in January of 2014 and only stopped going when I moved to another state. I went in with some normal back and shoulder pain and she whipped me into shape (almost literally. I had an awesome experience today with Dr. Jodi! But first, the space... It's not your typical "clinical" feeling setting. It's really unique, well-equipped and very Chicago (loft-like, exposed brick, cool art). I came with a lot of shoulder & neck wear and tear typical of a competitive boxer. I've only been here about 3 times to see Dr. Travis. I had been going to another chiro for about two years but felt like he wasn't really treating my current problem (low back pain). The front desk staff are helpful and friendly and are full of info about what your insurance will cover. And, so far, Dr. Travis has listened to everything I've told him and treated accordingly - he even took x-rays, which I was surprised they would do at a chiropractic office. It's a really nice place and there's always free street parking which is a big deal since I was paying to park every time I went to my other chiro in the south loop.
