Dent Doctor of Reno - Mike, Damian, and Brittany, fabulous job on fixing my car. I went out and…read moregot 5 estimates, and the one from Dent Doctor Reno was the best deal. A couple of years ago I had a very good experience with them, doing a PDR, (Paintless Dent Repair), on my truck. So, I decided, despite the estimate which actually seemed to be too low, to give them a shot at fixing my car. This was a more complicated repair, involving both body work and paint. The end result was better than I could every hope for. Stellar work by a great shop with friendly folk!!!! Thank you!! Brad K

I cannot recommend Dent Dr. based on our experience. Our…read morevehicle was sent to Dent Dr. through SilverRock insurance after we purchased it from Carvana with documented rear bumper damage in transit. Because Dent Dr. was the only approved in-network repair facility, we had noreal choice but to use them. From the beginning, communication was inconsistent. We were told conflicting information about the status of our claim, and we later learned from SilverRock that required paperwork had not been submitted despite being told by Dent Dr. the claim had been denied. After dropping off the vehicle, we were told repairs would take about two weeks. As we were leaving Gary shouted to us, "don't bother calling, it wont help to get the repair done any faster". During the 2 week time frame, we received virtually no updates. Multiple covert visits to the shop showed the car sitting untouched with only the rear bumper cover removed. When we asked for explanations, we received conflicting answers about waiting on parts and whether a bumper replacement had been requested. SilverRock later confirmed that no supplemental request for a replacement had ever been submitted. Its like Gary at Dent Dr. purposely tries to get your blood boiling with frustration. The most concerning issue came when SilverRock informed us that Dent Dr. had reported the repair as half complete and later as fully completed, resulting in payment being issued to Dent Dr. by SilverRock. SilverRock told me they intended to recover the payment. In reality, the vehicle was nowhere near finished. When we finally retrieved the car, it was in worse condition than when we dropped it off, with new scratches, poor-quality bumper repairs, and additional damage that had not existed beforehand. SilverRock ultimately escalated the matter to their upper management, filed a vendor complaint against Dent Dr., and approved us to use another repair shop, Diamond Auto Body to correct the bumper work. I also filed a claim with Dent Dr's surety bond company and was nicely compensated to cover the cost of repairing the additional damage. Everyone can have an occasional delay or mistake, but repeated miscommunication, lack of transparency, poor workmanship, and inaccurate reporting made this one of the most frustrating stressful customer service experiences we've had. Based on our experience, I would strongly recommend running from this shop and going somewhere else if you have the option.

At the appointment, I was told I "had to fix the car" and that they would not proceed unless I signed full repair authorization paperwork, including assignment of benefits, power of attorney, and direction to pay language - all of which go far beyond an inspection or estimate. When I attempted to limit authorization to inspection-only in writing, it was clear the shop's process is repair-only, despite the visit being scheduled as an inspection/supplement. The experience felt less like an independent body shop and more like dealing with an insurance adjuster pushing a predetermined outcome. If you are seeking an inspection-only supplement, documentation, or want to retain control of your insurance claim, be very careful and read every page before signing. If you are looking to fully repair your vehicle at this shop, I still wouldn't trust it. I left without proceeding because the terms presented did not match what was discussed prior to arrival. This should be clearly disclosed before customers take time off and show up.
