Came in for a paid lift inspection and supplemental estimate only ($250), clearly stating multiple times that I was not authorizing repairs and only needed documentation for insurance. At the appointment, I was told I "had to fix the car" and that they would not proceed unless I signed full repair authorization paperwork, including assignment of benefits, power of attorney, and direction to pay language - all of which go far beyond an inspection or estimate. When I attempted to limit authorization to inspection-only in writing, it was clear the shop's process is repair-only, despite the visit being scheduled as an inspection/supplement. The experience felt less like an independent body shop and more like dealing with an insurance adjuster pushing a predetermined outcome. If you are seeking an inspection-only supplement, documentation, or want to retain control of your insurance claim, be very careful and read every page before signing. If you are looking to fully repair your vehicle at this shop, I still wouldn't trust it. I left without proceeding because the terms presented did not match what was discussed prior to arrival. My car was literally assembled wrong. The bumper was installed incorrectly, on top of the bar that keeps it in place! Instead of owning it, they tried to blame it on me and argued and had an excuse for every little thing! Worst experience! Then instead of removing the side clips and slipping it back into the correct place, they pulled the bumper way out of shape to get it in the proper place. This tweeked the side of the bumper that wraps around to the wheel well leaving a gap. This could be a really long review, I'll just say I left feeling insulted, taken advantage of, and totally disappointed at the quality of their work!, to say the least. read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! This shop is what gives mechanics a bad reputation. Literally took my car to get the front bumper repaired and they gave us the car back with the bumper crooked. Then they said we needed to pay more if we want the bumper on right.. This is after they charged us over $10k and said that's what was needed to pay to get the job done right. Has been the most uncomfortable experience with this shop and we dealt with a different person every time. No one cares. Not even the owner came and talked to us after he was supposed to. How can someone pay over $10k at their business and absolutely not care about the customer is mind blowing. Do yourself a favor and go to another shop. read more

After I backed out of my driveway right into a retaining wall of concrete bricks, I was in need of a body shop. After some shopping around, I decided to work with Concours Body Shop based on a recommendation from a family member as well as their professionalism and willingness to work with my insurance company (Geico). Concours was prompt and professional in communicating with me next steps for repairs including what was to be covered by my insurance and what would be out of pocket. For most of the process, my insurance just didn't want to cover the full cost of labor, which I was fine paying the difference out of pocket. After about 2 weeks, Concours informed me that my repairs were complete, but that my insurance company had fallen silent. I ended up not getting my vehicle for an additional 2 weeks after the repairs were complete. I had to follow up multiple times with my insurance company via email and phone to get them to finalize the paperwork with Concours to release my car, because Concours was not having any luck with a response. Apparently, the insurance company had reassigned my claim to someone without computer access for several days. So bizarre! I do not blame Concours for these delays, but I did feel it necessary to step in because there seemed to be no sense of urgency to demand the insurance company's cooperation. I imagine this is very common, so I wouldn't expect the shop to spend as many man hours as I did to get a final response. I just wish the insurance was simpler! The replacement of the back bumper was wonderful! The paint match was spot on when looking at the vehicle in sunlight, artificial light, and overcast. Color match was key for me, because I intentionally chose a unique color when I purchased my vehicle (a brownish grey). Overall, I was satisfied with the craftsmanship and professional service at Concours Body Shop. I only wish it had been easier to get back into my car when the repairs were complete. read more

What bothers me the most, is if these things that are obvious to the eye are wrong... missing hardware, bad paint, mismatched parts and so on, who is to say the work they did that you can't see was done correctly? Oh you have to trust them? Well, I would if they could do the basic work properly but they can't even handle that part. How would you feel if you go for major surgery and when you leave you find out they forgot to put your liver back, reconnect the nerves and missed half the stitches?! Oh don't worry, let me put this stitch on and come back next week and we can reconnect this couple of nerves.... No biggie ugh !! As some may argue... well this is not life or death like a surgery would be.... Ummmm yes it it !! What if I had been rear ended in the middle of the night because I had no taillights? Or what if things are falling apart that I will not noticed till, well, they fall apart and I'm stranded somewhere or cause me to lose control or something? These people took half my car apart !! It was not like they just painted a panel and replaced a headlight!! No, this was open heart surgery, not a splinter on ur finger. Four (4) weeks later (total 10 weeks now for a job that was expected to be done in 4) I was called to pick up the truck. I went to pick it up, did a quick inspection, and didn't find much to be bothered by... minor things like masking tape left behind from the paint job, rags hanging from the suspension I could just clean myself and not have to deal with the shop anymore. Picked up the truck and left. 3 days later I noticed I had no hazard lights and upon inspection I also didn't have brake lights. I was lucky no one had rear ended me since I drive a night quite a lot or gotten pulled over. I was furious !!!!!! I didn't want to deal with that damn shop again but I was so upset I still messaged the owner to let him know. He offered me multiple solutions but again, I didn't want to deal with them in any way or shape. I did some basic troubleshooting which let's be honest, I shouldn't have to but ugh.. I just didn't want to deal with them anymore. I found a bad fuse and was able to have brake lights again, still no hazards. During my troubleshooting I found a misrouted hood release cable, it was an afterthought when they ran that cable, a twisted cable bundle and a squished plastic retainer, I guess they couldn't fit it in the hole after the cable bubble was so twisted that they smashed and just left it hanging after they couldn't fit it. I informed the owner of the shop about my findings and unfortunately it was something they would have to deal with. I dropped of the vehicle again (120 miles round trip and a day off work) I was provided with a loaner vehicle. They were not able to fix the issue and scheduled an appointment with the dealership for them to figure it out. I took the vehicle back on a Monday and they took it to the dealer, found out a panel in the interior had gone bad, maybe something the shop did anyway since they piped fuses and they had some electrical issues while putting the truck back together anyway. A panel was ordered and was to arrive by Tuesday. Tuesday came and went and I received no updates... no surprise here. Wednesday noonish time, I called and asked about the status.. "oh let me check". Well the part didn't come in because "Covid" and will be here tomorrow (thusrday) nope, that is not going to work because Thursday will be come Friday and then Monday... they were able to get my truck back together and brought it back to me saving me the trip but still putting 120miles on my truck... Once the part came in, I dropped the truck again and they brought it back... Total 89 days in the shop, about 500 miles on back and forth the shop and while they fix the major issues I point it out and we're obvious, there are still issues with the truck, I will deal with them as I find them. Like finding some of the tools left behind in between panels. I can't seem to have the pictures for the chopped pain on the door which all they did was thought it up with a qtip and you can still see the missing paint as the paint would be ticker but whatever at this point I can't make this up. Concerning Toyota Highlander Limited AWD 1. A minor parking lot mishap resulted in a dent on my left bumper and a broken grill. 2. The initial estimate was $1990.00 revised to $1719.00 (SO 1) after being negotiated by my insurance company CSAA. 3. After dropping off my car at Concours Body Shop in Reno Nv, an authorized Toyota repair shop, they proceeded to scan the vehicle with no codes shown for any system including the SRS. They then proceeded to remove, inspect and reinstall all the air bags, seat belt restraints, etc. which they said were required by Toyota. This resulted in an increased estimate of $2997.02 which CSAA denied. We were told by Bryce that the work had already been done and that we were responsible for the additional amount of $2997.02 in addition to our deductible of $500.00. I responded that we were not responsible and had not authorized the additional work. All of this happened prior to the repair we had contracted for was started. 4. CSAA finally agreed to pay an additional $1381.50 for a total cost of $3100.83 less the $500.00 deductible we were responsible for. 5. Our final bill was $4194.25 which CSAA was responsible for $3694.25 and we owed our deductible of $500.00. Our complaints about Concours Body Shop are as follows: 1. They performed a "safety check" of our vehicle without an approved revised estimate by our insurance or us that more than doubled the initial estimate. 2. If this safety check is required by Toyota it should have been included in the initial estimate. 3. They required us to read and sign a 9 page contract without giving us a copy of the contract. Resolution: Our grievances with Concours Body Shop have been resolved since the owner became involved. The original repairs we contracted for have been accomplished in an acceptable manor. read more

When I first started out at the Concours it was GREAT. The staff was friendly, that's just to get your business. Once I left NO phone call or any updates so in my mind things are good. NOPE, the Key insurance the dude who hit my door has is CRAP. But better than nothing. anyhow CONCOURS didn't even clean out my car it is so nasty from the dust from the work that WAS done on the door. the door is fixed but the inside on the leather part to roll the window is not in correctly. I will go back to get that put back correctly and a vacuum, wipe down. hopefully its not because I am a BLACK WOMAN. I do not recommend this place go to NACHOS BODY SHOP! and I paid $217.97 out of pocket after over $4500 from ins company. (rear back door) working on getting my $217.97 back. read more

I called Concours from a recommendation by the insurance company of the person who backed into my Lexus. They got me in right away - I was able to drop off my car a few minutes after I called. They even called the rental car company for me so my rental car could be delivered to the shop. I dropped off my car on a Friday morning and got it back Wednesday afternoon - better than new! I opted for Concours to respray my entire front bumper at my own expense due to sand damage, since it was being repaired anyway. It looks great! Mad respect for Concours. I went to them to paint a replacement toe hook cover, a simple job. They were very professional and did exactly what I needed. So it was a no brainer to go to Concours when someone tried to break into it and did some serious damage to a window and two doors. Concours took the car for a few hours so they could provide an impressively thorough estimate. I didn't have comprehensive insurance, so this was coming out of my own pocket. My eyes popped out of my head when they showed me the cost. It was a truly stunning amount of money, like ten times what I expected. When you're going to spend that kind of money, it's obviously a smart thing to get a second or third or fourth opinion. I had no doubt they were right that it would be an expensive job, but that number was so high that I also had a feeling I could save quite a bit of money by shopping around, and I was right. Got about five estimates total. One of them was more expensive than Concours, but the rest were less. One was quite a bit lower, but my spidey senses were telling me they were not nearly thorough enough, which was confirmed from the other estimates. I did end up getting the work done elsewhere, for about 25% less than what Concours wanted to charge. Which, when you're dealing with large numbers like this, turns out to be a significant sum of cash. Hence my 4-star review for what is otherwise a high quality body shop. I guess if you have money burning a hole in your pocket, or you're playing with other people's money (i.e. auto insurance), you might justify their higher costs by reasoning that high quality work ain't cheap. Because if you get your body work done at Concours, you at least have peace of mind that they will provide high quality work. read more

Concours body shop is amazing. I was in Reno helping my father out and noticed issues with his bumper. In desperate need of help I went to multiple places that would not help me and just before giving up I gave Concours a try. They were able to help me with a temporary fix and will be looking for the cheapest way for me to do a permanent fix. Leah was super helpful and sweet!When I went to pay for the temporary repair that they did for me, they wouldn't even take my money. I just went to pick up my car from Concourse and they tried to give me back my car half-repaired when they said it was fully repaired. It was beyond awkward. When I raised the issue of missing parts, confusion ensued with the service staff. After a while, the head operations staff guy told me the technician who repaired it actually had to order parts and then didn't mention it to anyone. Super unprofessional. Sloppy. Shady? I hope not. I needed to take my car to work and pay the deductible anyway. I'm hoping they do the right thing and call me when the parts are in to finish the job. Recently I was in a car accident. A driver failed to stop or slow down for a stop sign and he plowed into my SUV. I went to Dolan Lexus and was informed that they no longer have a "Body Shop." I was referred to Concours, for a Body Shop Repair. Chris, the advisor at Concours, helped me file the initial Accident Report with AAA, the responsible party's insurance company, and from there on it has been 'challenging' to proceed with getting anything done. I've had to call AAA and Concours about 8 times. Chris got too busy or perhaps other reasons but I asked for the estimate to be faxed to AAA. After several calls, I asked the representative at Farmers, which is my insurance co., to call and request the estimate, hoping to expedite the process for repairs. Meanwhile, Chris explained that AAA had not contacted him and he didn't send a request for "Assignment", pictures or an estimate. In the meantime, AAA filed a claim against my policy! Although I called 911, and the police came and issued the other driver a ticket for failing to stop at a stop sign, and I obtained a witness's statement, AAA did not talk to me or their insured prior to filling a claim against me. (This review is about AAA and Concours). I am currently waiting to hear back from Chris about being approved by AAA. I did get notified by AAA last Thursday. I will let you know how efficient Concours is with ordering the parts, repairs and timeline. After more delays, I took my vehicle to another business and got the repairs completed through the responsible party's insurance. I have also changed to American National Insurance Co. I am very happy with their service and saved money by changing to their insurance company. read more

My car was damaged in January when someone tried to break into it. I took it to a highly rated auto body shop and they gave me an appointment for April. Three months seemed a long time to wait, but with supply chain issues I figured it was the best they could do. April rolled around, I took my car in and they told me I didn't have an appointment. So frustrating. I contacted a couple of other shops through Yelp, was contacted by one, sent photos of the damage and never heard from them again. In desperation I took my car to the Lexus dealership where they sent me to yet another auto body shop. This one was the charm! They gave me a quote in under 15 minutes, scheduled me for two weeks out, called to update me on the status of the parts they were waiting for, and called again when the parts arrived. Today they did a perfect repair, guaranteed their work, and washed and detailed my car. I hope I never need a body shop again, but I do, this is where I'm coming. read more

This was the "preferred shop" from the insurance company. We took the car here for an estimate for a minor fender-bumper repair after hitting snow left behind by a city snowplow. A few days later the insurance company calls telling us that the car must be totaled because of the repair estimate from the "shop." We ask how a fender-bumper repair could be so expensive. According to the "shop," not only was the fender-bumper damaged, but the steering had to be replaced because it had a "major leak." Huh? We continued driving the car after the incident and drove the car to the "shop" and did not experience any steering issues. Furthermore, there was no steering fluid on the ground beneath the car or on the undercarriage and the steering reservoir was full. And the fender-bumper hit the snow, not the steering!?! Long story short...We agree to buy the car from insurance and when we get it back, the "shop" had begun demolishing the body panels to begin work and returned it to us with trim pieces and fender liners removed and with damaged paint where they removed pieces. By the way, the car has since been driven 10,000+ miles and been to two vehicle specific repair shops and each said that the steering is operating normally. The moral of this story would be to avoid this "shop." read more

Gil and his crew has literally seen EVERY car we have owned. Over the last 15 years and think 7 cars and two teenagers, the great staff at Concourse has worked on all our cars. From a major rear end slam in my brand new convertible to many dings and scratches. We have had cars directly towed there on weekends and left, and have driven right to the doors. Always greeted with a smile and the assurance of starting the job promptly. They deal with the insurance company directly so we don't have the extra hassle. I showed up with just my front bumper thinking it would be easier and every part would get painted but a white guy with a beard tells me that the whole car has to be there and gives me an estimate of how it will cost $1000 for labor alone. $1000 for a front bumper?!? We came back to this repair shop after having repairs done 9 years ago. I called and explained my problem with my 02 Dodge Ram and was told they don't work on vehicles older than 10 years old but to come in and they would figure something out and write up an estimate. I told they we lived 1 1/2 hrs away. They said no problem to come in. So we did. When we got there they told us they wouldn't even give us an estimate because they will not work on vehicles that old because of parts problems. I understand that but they could have told me up front they would not work on my truck instead of saying come in and we'll figure it out. So I would not recommend this place because of that. If they weren't honest with me up front I can only image what they would do if they did work on my truck. Beware. read more

Concours Body Shop came highly recommended by a couple of well-respected guys in the sales business. Their recommendation did not disappoint. Heather and the guys are fantastic and very professional. Some lowlife backed into my vehicle at CVS and left. I did not leave a note or anything. I went to see Heather and the guys, they assessed the damage and gave me a quote, as well as a time frame to get it done. After negotiations with my insurance company, the appointment was set, and I dropped my vehicle off. During the whole duration, Heather or a staff member kept me posted on the progress of the job. After the gig, Concours was on schedule and completed the job. When I picked it my vehicle, it looked as good as it did the first day I bought it. Concours washed and sanitized my vehicle as well. All work came with a warranty which they give me paperwork for. I am grateful and delighted with Concours work. I would recommend them if a person asks me about getting any bodywork done. read more
