It's hard to find a place where all the staff is truly friendly and helpful. To start off with the billing and scheduling people up front are so nice. They have been able to work with billing questions and my insurance in such a kind manner. The hygienist and dental assistants are also very nice and explain everything. Most of all you feel you are in good hands with DDS Johnston he is not requesting unnecessary treatments and seems to take the more conservative approach (which I like) but takes pictures and explains all treatment well. The receptionist, who scheduled my appointment was friendly and helpful; When I arrived, I was greeted by the receptionist and check in was immediate. Dr. Johnston's team is very pleasant and helpful! They worked to offer appointments ahead of my scheduled visit more than once! From the moment I walked in the door, I felt welcomed and comfortable. The music playing overhead was great! The Beatles, Queen and many other familiar tunes at an appropriate background level added to the experience. My hygienist seemed genuinely interested in getting to know me while starting my checkup. The office is equipped with high tech so that x-rays, pictures, cleaning and exam all happened while I relaxed in the same spot! Other dentists have had me move from room to room, chair to chair, for the various stages. This dental practice is a wonderful addition to West Seattle. Everyone in the practice is professional. They take thorough Covid precautions and screen patients about recent travel and review the list of possible Covid symptoms. I have been going to West Seattle Smile since they opened and always been completely satisfied. I have had excellent services there for the last 2-3 years. Yesterday, I went for a regular cleaning which was done by a very personable experienced dental technician. It was very thorough and comfortable. One of the dentists, Dr. Geoff Johnston or Dr. Nicole Johnston, reviews the work , signs off or is open to any questions and to discuss any possible future dental. REVIEW BASED ON 5 YEARS EXPERIENCE : Theyve been my dentist since the previous management (formerly Pavlovian dental). My previous dentist at this location was wonderful, ws smile is better. I now can count on getting my teeth cleaned in an hour so and in the past year I've waited Less than 5 minutes. Previously I had to wait 30-75 minutes for my stated appt. much better. My oral hygienist is awesome, she is really efficient. Their In house monthly insurance covers all of my standard cleanings and exams is much cheaper than delta dental or other med insurance plans Glad to have them as my dentist, going tomorrow and not anxious that it's gong to chew up a huge part of my day ... just an hour or so ... BEWARE! These guys prices are outrageous and they are not forthcoming about what services will cost before performing them. They charged me over $1,000.00 for "deep cleaning" and failed to mention my insurance would only cover $200. I've been getting "deep cleaning" most of my adult life and this price is outrageous! Their excuse was "we can't call every insurance company to see how much they will cover" - I'm pretty sure that's your job! Both the hygienist and dentist were absolutely willing to listen and take my personal concerns into account, which made me feel much more comfortable. Really, the whole experience was awesome and the employees were genuinely nice. They also have a small, free parking lot to use for appointments. I would absolutely recommend them. But this family truly listened to all my concerns and they were able to come up with a solution.I had found that Doctor Jeffrey and his staff pay quite a bit attention to detail and they do not take shortcuts . Just recently I found myself needing some emergency dental work done and because of the shutdown the country was in I was unsure that I was going to be able to get any work done I called the office after hours to my surprise Debbie the office manager called me back almost immediately and said even though they are only doing essential work at this time they would fit me in their schedule but was really amazing this was a Friday they got me in on a Saturday which they normally don't work dr. Jeffrey and his wife who is also a dentist I just don't remember her name sorry even the office manager all showed up to give me the a Cadillac treatment .
