Outside of the restaurant, limited seating but phenomenal

On the recommendation of a friend who lives in the area, we found this gem of a restaurant it just has a rectangular bar with servers and bartenders in the center and the most phenomenal seafood I've had in a long time so welcoming I would guess there's only 25 seats here and everybody seem to be enjoying themselves so much the quality of the food and service was top-notch. Highly recommended. My wife and I had seafood specials. I had the twin lobster tails with the scallops, she had the lobster tail, scallops, and shrimp with brown butter scallops and shrimp are served in was so delicious. Also, their fresh fruit cocktails, such as their orange crush, and watermelon crush where to die for will definitely be back.

Stopped by on a Saturday early afternoon. Few patrons in there, picked up with folks watching college football. . Friendly bartender and staff. Food was great! I got a breakfast item (scrapple, egg and cheese on a long roll w/breakfast potatoes $13). Asked for extra cheese, $1 more. Delicious! . Girlfriend went for scallops. Market Price was $25 for about ten of them (she did in and ate a few before I could snap a photo, so I didn't even try. I'm not a seafood person, so I'm not a good judge for price/quality. She loved them and thought it was a fair price. She thought they were great. . Great spot known to those that know, for great seafood. Thought we'd catch our friends Rob and Maureen there, maybe next time!

Absolutely the best burger I ever had. We were told by locals to visit this off the road dive bar for their food. We went on the last day of vacation. Wow it was unreal. The server behind the bar made me a refreshing watermelon crush and then we had our burgers. I'm a guru for good burgers and this was #1

Must visit while in the Wildwoods. Must visit. Do you like live music? Do you enjoy perfectly prepared seafood? Is a fresh squeezed orange crush refreshing? are you not a local? Once you respond yes 4x then head to West Side Saloon. You won't regret it. I visited for the first time tonight and it will certainly not be the last. Must visit. Go check it out and post your review.

I believe these were Cheesesteak Egg Rolls (we ate them so fast, we barely tasted them)

This is a cool dive bar with good food. We visited during Irish Weekend in Wildwood. Needless to say, we were seeking an evening snack after imbibing all day. I love that their menu is seafood-forward. We split the Crab Caprese Salad, a couple of "eggrolls", and for my entree, I ordered the Blue Mussels (red sauce with blue cheese). This sounds bizarre (cheese with seafood?) but it was delicious. The flavors complemented each other beautifully. I couldn't get enough, and I would order this again and again. My fellow diners enjoyed their burgers, crab legs, and other tasty bites. I love the little outdoor patio area. It was a gorgeous evening, and we were pleased to be seated outside. They had live entertainment that evening, which may be a regular occurrence, or it could have been due to Irish Weekend. This is a true locals place, but they were friendly nevertheless. Good stuff!

Hidden gem of the Wildwoods! All their seafood is excellent and crush drinks are insanely delicious! Despite seating being limited, you won't be complaining once you eat here!

Everything here was very good, especially the lobster, scallops & asparagus dish that I couldn't believed I finished!

This place is a local spot with majority locals. I'm not local and everyone stared at me as soon as I walked in the door haha. The food is excellent though and makes any uncomfortability worth it. My table got steamers, lobster grilled cheese, crab cake sandwich and scallops and all items were fantastic. Their crushes are also really great, you can see them cutting up a ton of fresh oranges and grapefruits at the bar.

The ceiling had dollar bills tacked to it. We were informed that it was a game where bills were tossed and tacked to the ceiling.

"When you get a chance", (a/k/a Bill), and Angelina were our bartenders. They were entertaining and simpatico. There were seven of us and we got the last seats at the bar. The place was full it was about 215pm on a Friday. It is a family run biz. Specializing in an orange crush a mixture of fresh orange juice mandarin vodka and club soda. Apparently the latest craze in this neck of the woods. We drank beer and some rum drinks and ordered food. The plate of mussels I had was wonderful prepared with a light white sauce. The kitchen is steps away from the bar area and the aromas of the various dishes was quite pleasant. The place is a small triangular shaped building in West Wildwood. We were informed by a few of the regulars that it is known as a hidden gem on the island. We typically hang around the Crest and the south end of the island. A very nice vibe. Good folks great food and service for an island pub. We would return. Mark & Nancy.

Friendly bartender with great cocktails. Best blackened seafood on the island. Will return when I'm in town. This place is a must for dining. The only setback is there is no table seating inside. Bar seating only.

Some of the best seafood in Wildwood! Angelina was our server, she is on TOP of her game! Just amazing! Had the crab cake grilled cheese (no filler & top notch!) and fries and the shrimp, scallops and lobster with asparagus platter. (Hands down, best seafood on the island!)They are know for the Orange crush drink but we had the Scarlett, and it was awesome! (Vanilla vodka, Malabo, con nut rum, pineapple and cranberry.) The bar is packed and you wait for outside seating until available. There is a small parking lot available. Alway a great choice for a great, bay side beach vacation dinner!

First time visitor this summer that has long time visitor aspirations. Three of us came here per my buddy who was raving about the food and drinks - in particular the freshly squeezed infamous Orange Crush. A few things to know about WSS. It is a ways from the boardwalk and is kinda just off on its own. In fact, it's not even in Wildwood - it's in West Wildwood, which I never knew existed but here we found ourselves on a warm, summer night. The location is important because the drinks are strong and will sneak up on you so ride share your butt over and enjoy yourself! It's also a bit tight inside the bar with just a few tables scattered about and outside - not great for a large group but great for four or less. In addition to crushing some crushes, we ordered 20 steamers, Jersey crab cake sandwich, and a fried green tomato tower w/lobster, caprese and balsamic - a local favorite. All of the food was exceptional. We agreed that we would 100% return. After all, WSS fits right in with menus that I want to work my way through.

Fresh fruit that is squeezed into every drink!

The food back then was delicious and my mom and I had some good Orange Crushes, which is what they were famous for.

Lots of room to dance or sit at a table. Food was terrible. I'm not a fussy eater and it just wasn't good. Menu is limited. I got the taco box w beef tacos. Not good. My friend got the chicken tenders. Didn't come with anything and were below average. Service was not great. I sat at the bar and every time I needed a drink or to place my food order, I had to physically wave the bartender over. She wouldn't just take the que of me standing there staring at her w an empty cup. Parking - need to find a spot on the street and pay w ParkMobile. There are a few lots in the area that use ParkMobile but they were full when we were looking. We finally found a space a few blocks away for free. In summary, I'd def return for some drinks and live music!

Possibly the worst cheesesteak sandwich I ever had. Regular bread, Nacho Cheese Sauce, Not packed with meat, and served with side of fresh cut potato chips which was possibly the best thing on the plate although it tasted like it was over cooked. Shawns Cheesesteak down the block is a better place to go. Tried the "Crispy Shrimp and Mango" (not pictured) from a friend which I was originally going to get. The waitress told me it came with 3pcs so i passed on it because 3 shrimps for $15.50 is crazy work. When it came out my friend told me it actually came with 5 pieces which was a little better. The taste was actually pretty good nice size pieces and a mix of sweetness and spiciness One thing i will also add... If customers are paying to eat, you shouldn't charge them the $5 entry fee. It'll leave a bitter taste in their mouth especially since the food wasn't good.

The service is shit! 1000/10 do not recommend. We had reached out ahead if time to ask if there'd be room for a decent size group on a Tuesday to watch a championship game. They had that on one tv then on the other tvs were highlights and then a regular season baseball game. We got there had, to ask numerous times to put the game on the tv where we were sitting. Then a smaller group who was there for the baseball game ended up asking the bartender to change the game sound to the baseball game. Which we were confused because we were told that we would be good had we asked the bartenders and the MOD was aware. Well that wasn't the case. Now for the food.... Well there's a few different things that were missing or just unacceptable. I had ordered wings which when ordering asked some clarifying question and even asked to sample the sauce to see if I could handle it. I got the sauce. Tried it and it was bearable that I could eat them with ranch/ blue cheese and handle it. Well when the food came out. They didn't even taste the same. They were dry and not very saucy and they tasted like they just had hot sauce on it. I even asked someone who likes hot sauces to taste both the sample of the sauce as well as the wing and he immediately said there was a difference. On top of that, they forgot sauce on one cheesesteak and a side of sauce for someone else's fries that was requested... When the server(bartender) came back after awhile I had said that I couldn't eat the wings as they were too spicy and had requested if I could get the truffle Parmesan INSTEAD. when I went to hand the plate back as I did not want to eat the wings. He had asked me if I wanted a box for them. I said well I can't eat them they're too spicy. And he again said I can get you a box and I said I mean I won't eat them though and again mentioned the box and I said I mean i guess but I can't eat them. I asked for the replacement because I could not eat them. And I was fully prepared to give them back to be replaced. I also stated to get the other wings boxed up. We immediately also asked for checks as we were already not happy with the situation ongoing. When I received my check it showed that I was getting charged for 2 orders of wings and not just one. I did not want two orders of wings. I wanted one order that I would be able to eat because I couldn't eat the initial order that was served to me. When he came back to grab checks I explained that I wanted the other wings to replace the wings I was served which was why I didn't want the box. The man looked at me like I was speaking a different fucking language. Then when I proceeded to ask him to just cancel the 2nd order of wings and fix my check to reflect such, he questioned it like he was stunned that I even bothered asking. And to top it all off, as we were leaving they smirked and laughed like it was funny that we had a bad experience. I have worked all of my life in customer service type positions whether that be serving, bartending or other services and honestly it was actually sad that we come there for the first time and it is fully going to be the last as well. Do better.
