Best pizza on the island! Now that I've gotten that out of the way I can tell you that this place is a true dive bar in every sense. We walked in and immediately heard the loud crowd across the expansive bar area a.k.a. "Inside the restaurant". The bar was full with no available seats on a Thursday night around 6PM so we opted to grab a table in the outside patio area. There wasn't any atmosphere and although this place sits right on the water it is fenced in, hence no views. I made a selection from the limited beer taps offered and my wife ordered a Chardonnay. She was given a glass and a Sutter Home airline bottle. My beer was nice and cold and ridiculously cheap at $2 a pint. The crab cake platter was listed as MP (market price) and we asked what the price was and it was only $12! I ordered a large pizza with peppers and onions. The crab cake was fried but huge and full of lump crab and was served with cole slaw and delicious hand cut fries. The pizza was great! The homemade hand stretched thin crispy crust, the sauce, the cheese, the sautéed onions and hand sliced peppers came together like a symphony of deliciousness. The pizza was so big I could barely eat half so I took the rest home. Our server was friendly and attentive and service was great and prices can't be beat just don't expect a nice atmosphere, water views, or fancy cocktails or craft beers which is definitely not what this place is about. WOW Before going I checked the rating (3.5) - Well, I completely disagree - We arrived by boat and had a Great lunch and our server Clare was awesome. We were pleased to hear of the availability of seeded rolls which I had with the Pork / Prov / Broc Rabe sandwich which was excellent. My wife took a picture of the duck outside of the entrance of the bar. The bouncers would not light my wife enter the bar after that. They let the rest of the group in but denied my 5 foot wife in. I had no idea that all of this happened. Once I found out I asked what happened and the bouncer got very defensive and tried to fight our crowd. Totally ridiculous about telling a 5 foot tall woman that she can't enter the bar for trying to take a picture of an inflatable duck. Be careful when going here when there is an event happening at this place. The bouncers are not understanding to anyone entering after the event is over. This was our second time ever going there. One of the best dive bars in CMC.....Hidden gem back on Montgomery Av in Wildwood....Looks like it was a house at some point but now it's a good size bar on the first floor.....The coldest PBR in town along with really good food! If you are a fan of dive bars, this is a fairly priced option with reasonable food choices. We went as a large mixed age group and sat outside a night in July. It's definitely a bar with bar food. Everything was decent, but this is a spot you go to hang out and drink more than for food. At a friends recommendation, we ordered bacon wrapped scallops and red mussels as an app, which were very good, although they came out at the same time as our entrees. A few people got the crab cake sandwich, which was good but definitely had a fair amount of filler. The wings, chicken cheesesteak, and burgers were all pretty average, not bad but nothing to write home about. Actually called the "Ship N' Shore" If you are in to the dive bar scene "the Ship" is easily the place to go. They recently remodeled the place and it is actually ALOT nicer than it used to be. They also reconfigured the layout, moving the bar more to the center of the floor which seems to utilize the floor space better. They also updated the bathrooms. If you want cheap beer in a no frills atmosphere, hit this place up. The bartenders are the best I have had in all of the Wildwoods and the crowd (though they seem at first glance to be a little rough around the edges) is extremely nice and generally down to earth people. read more

While in town I met a few locals who recommended walking to ship and shore. being from out of town they said it will have a good dj cheap food and drinks. well the place is nothing special but what turned me off the most is when the dj asked for requests and I was told "we don't play that (racial slur) music here" I knew it was time to move on . read more

Stopped here again and once again we weren't disappointed. Clair was behind the bar running around like a chicken without a head. She is an excellent bartender and you can tell she truly cares about the place(very hard trait to find anymore). The first thing you need to know is this is a dive bar, period. Not much to look out, although a view of the bay water way if you are here then come on in. The food specials are amazing, $4.50 loaded cheeseburgers or 10 piece wings, $3.50 cheesesteaks...this place is making delicious food and saving you money, seriously it is cheaper to eat here than cook at home! Offering a full bar, and plenty of tv's to catch your favorite sports this place could be empty at lunch or standing room only. Yes a pool table is here, I said dive bar, but with food that will having you coming back again and again, and don't think because it's in special they will skimp, nope, nothing but full size orders here! I always read reviews when trying to pick new places to go. A bunch of the reviews for this place called it a dive bar. We love to check out places like this because you get to hang with the locals. We had a great experience. The beers were cold and the food was good. For a place that supports people with disabilities I am appalled at how my family member was treated here. She appears a lot younger than she is and the bouncers at the front did a great job of checking and verifying her identity. However once inside the nasty little owner cane flying out and kicked her out!! Embarrassing her in every way and speaking to everyone with her with complete disrespect. She has been through a lot in her life and bc of this her growth was stunted. We would not bring a person not of age to a bar that is not who we are. She is legally 21 and one of the people that this establishment claims to support. Bogus in all ways do not support a business that treats people this way!!! Best Burgers on the Island. Nice people and very friendly. Haven't been here in over 10 years...Love it.

A realtor turned us on to this hidden gem of a place. We'd had the best Burger ever ! The beef was fresh not frozen pre form patties and season with just salt and pepper it was delicious must've been an 85% mix because it was so juicy and served with 3 strips of bacon and cheese for only $4.50..... I told my friend we could not make a better Burger at home for that price. The Bartender made an awesome cosmopolitan and they were not chintzy on the vodka..... made the sin of serving it in a plastic cup more than forgivable. The French fries were shoe string with the skin still on them they tasted like they must have been fresh cut. This is our go to grab a Burger and a drink joint from now on. We only hope that it doesn't get swamped in the summertime . Oh and they have a nice little patio where well behaved dogs are welcomed...my realtor raves about their cheesesteaks but I'm so jonsin for a burger that it is what I always order....plenty of free street parking....great waitstaff and barkeeps....always a friendly welcome and a smile....great little unpretentious old man bar read more
