Great place to have a beer and walk around a bit. Did friendly and they have a disc golf course if you play. Also have a cute side trail with three huge trees marked for you to check out. The mushroom quesadilla from the cantina is delicious. They also have ice cream and popsicles and nonalcoholic beverages. My son and his girlfriend said the ice cream was top tier! read more

What a great place for families. Lots of stuff for the kids to do. Really good beers, the main brewery is in Lexington. They were having a family get together, so we got a few great tasting shrimps. We both had the single mosaic hop IPAs. Excellent brews, free stickers for the beer fridge. They even have a hop farm. We wish we were locals. Kasey was a great beertender. read more

Corn hole, picnic tables, hiking trails, indoor and outdoor seating. Close to home but cool farm vibe. Recommend Sixer for a mild, summertime, light beer or Amber Ale for something a little deeper. When the cantina food truck is there, it's the perfect day!! We've been over a dozen times over the last year and we've never been disappointed in the beer, food, or atmosphere. Staff is always super friendly. Comfy, solid wood, Adirondack chairs, tons of toys for kids, and beautiful scenery all year round. We even go on the warmer winter days. It's safe to let the kids wander around the hills but they're usually super happy just playing in the rocks with all the toys. Highly recommend! read more

The West 6th Farm is a welcome addition to Frankfort. Frankfort has a brewery!! The farm is settled in the rolling hills of Frankfort just minutes away from Buffalo Trace Distillery. They will have their flagship beers on draft. (Cocoa porter, here I come!) The grounds are pretty sweet. There is a pavilion outside with seating that over looks the pond and what I will assume is the growing fields for hops. For now, they will only be open on Saturdays, but that may change if they realize people need and want to come out for a drink! Make this happen, people. The farm is a wonderful addition to Frankfort. The scenery is beautiful and the atmosphere is perfectly low key. West Sixth beer is always welcome. Grand opening is today, 6/9/18. After over a year of anticipation, I finally got the email that it was to happen!! When I got the email invite for the Trailblazers soft opening, I literally felt like I received an invite to the royal wedding. I'm dead serious. West Sixth is central Kentucky royalty. Meeting the owners and getting a sneak peak before the actual opening, was far better than attending the royal wedding. They set the bar for breweries in Lexington and man, they set the bar high. So, they know how they do beer, how does the farm match up? Located in Frankfort, it's just less than 10 miles from the exit 58 on interstate 64 and about thirty minutes from the north side of Lexington. The parking is plentiful, but it is a short walk to the taproom and patio area. Most of the paths are pebbles and gravel. Do wear comfortable and appropriate walking shoes, especially is you want to walk up to the hop yard area. You won't want to miss walking around the gorgeous 120 acre grounds. They had the Athenian Grill food tent right outside of the taproom, but I'm not sure if that will be the usual or not. Considering they will only be open on Saturdays (at least for the time being) I would assume that food trucks and food tents will rotate. If not, Frankfort has a lot of restaurant options. read more

I've been following the process of the farm for some time now on FB. Excited the time has finally come to open it up to the public. Soft open night for Trailblazers accompanied by Athenian Grill. What a great night to meet the owners and the people that have made this place happen. Beautiful property within Franklin County. Bar area just like the main tap room in Lexington with picnic style seating outside as well as wooden chairs to sit in to take in all the beauty the farm has to offer. Several beers on tap with a special Peaks Mill Ale to commemorate the area in which the farm is located. A definite Saturday spot to catch a great brew if you want away from the normal hustle and bustle of the city. read more

So thankful to have gotten an invite to this magnificent soft opening. Even though there's not much out there besides residential quarters, the farm is located just north of downtown Frankfort and sits very close to a main road. After being greeted and parking, we headed to the barn-like building that houses all the excellent taps and West Sixth items as well food items for sale. It has a very open concept with plenty of seating just outside under a covered porch-like area. Inside had a few barrels and chairs, while the outside had picnic tables and Adirondack chairs that faced a small pond as well as the rolling hillside that contained hops, chickens, a fish pond, berry bushes, bees, and apple trees. Very relaxing to have a beer among this picturesque view of the country. This is going to be an excellent location for a day of relaxation or just a simple picnic at one of the randomly placed tables throughout the farm. Can't wait to bring a crew from Louisville! read more

Super cool space in Frankfort to have a day of fun, or a quick afternoon beer. You can have a full day between the hiking and biking trails, weekend food trucks, and beer. I've not fished but the trail map even shows a fishing pond. In addition to draft beer you can get buckets of cans, wine, or sometimes beer slushees! read more

We were here for the opening of this place and it seemed fitting that we were here for the closing day before the winter season. They have some of the best food trucks here at this location. You can walk around this farm all you want. They even grow their own hops out here. Way cool! Same great staff that are from the main brewery. The people out here are amazing! The beers are always awesome. This is a perfect quick spot for my wife and I to get to after work when we want to hang outside and drink some beers and enjoy the evening. They have plenty of parking however it is gravel. I love to visit this brewery and will continue to hit this place up come spring! read more

This place is amazing and definitely worth the drive. Good beers, great picnic food options (plus food trucks at times), nice people, and beautiful grounds to enjoy all of the above. My husband and I have come with our two young kids twice now and ended up being able to spend several hours there both times as a family. This place is great when the weather is cooler. Today the temperature was 90 and they have no air conditioning. And the fans are inadequate. Beer was good and Bartender was very nice. For the first time being here it was really fun. Different from not being at the brewery but they still had a good selection of beer. Not as many as the brewery but some that i liked.
