It was that dreadful time again to get my 1991 truck smogged. I stop by and asked how much is it now, and the price was $117 - yikes ! Everything is going up in price except for my salary. My truck did not pass and I had to pay extra to have the timing adjusted. So, you can look around and try to find lower rates but unfortunately prices are almost doubling for these forced services by our state. read more

We came here for a smog check and had another good experience. No appointment needed, which makes it easy. They have chairs inside and outside for customers, and the place is clean. The shop is right next to McDonald's on Valley and Marguerita. We paid $60 for a van smog, which is cheaper than most places. On a Thursday in August, I stopped by for a Smog check at 4:30pm. Luckily no wait for a smog check. The guy behind the counter says smog check $51 with 3% service charge on credit cards. I went in for a smog check. Gary at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. It was a bit busy and Gary remained calm, friendly and respectful despite an impatient and rude man going in and demanding immediate answers. Gary was not only on the phone and receiving a part from an O'riley auto parts representative, but he was also trying to get the ball rolling on another customer that needed a smog check. I know inflation has caused lot of places to increase their prices, but this shop has remained steady in their prices and are no nonsense. Have been coming here for years (decades), with all my vehicles. Their hours on the weekdays are 830a to 5:30p, Saturday is 8:30a to 5:00p and closed on Sundays. The cost of a smog check with certificate included is $51. No need for coupon. They're not sketchy like some places that charge a certain amount and claim you need a coupon or do a bait and switch when you show up. read more

Update: I took my car to a LEGIT place that cost more afterwards for smog check because I don't believe a word they said when they failed my car. Proved my gut feeling. The other place saw in the computer system that I got smogged before and double checked why I failed. Well, my car shouldn't have failed. Everything checked out a week after, magically. They either doesn't know their business or did it on purpose. Either case, stay away. read more

This is by far the best most competent smog check and repair in San Gabriel Valley. Master tech Gary is diligent in repairing specific smog failed vehicles. He only fixes that one problem that is affecting the cars optimal function without the BS and trying to sell anything else. Mr Lui is real cool with his smooth customer service and earnest desire to help all customers with their questions and needs. I took my car there a few weeks back to get a smog check. Apparently it wasn't ready, so they told me to drive around a come back since one of the sensor wasn't ready. They didn't charge me for the service. Went back to then about a week later and my car finally showed ready. There was no wait since there wasn't anyone else there, but as they were testing my car, two more cars pulled up. It looked like they have two bays and a couple techs to do the smog checks. BEWARE!!!!! Total ripoff artists!!!! I went in there to get smogged and they told me I had an issue with my Catalytic Converter and that I needed it replaced.... Turns out they had been the ones who had installed the faulty one two years earlier! Suddenly everything was okay and I passed the smog. Not only that but a few days later I noticed a police car at the location. I decided to be nosy and it turned out they had tried to rip off another woman, leaving her in tears. She, however, looks like she has some plans in store, remaining there and taking pics for what will hopefully turn out to be a lawsuit. read more
