Being bombay-ites this restaurant has been on my radar for a while. Good ambience and young vibe is the restaurant theme. We were greeted and seated quickly. We ordered Banta soda, chicken lollipops, fish and chips, vada pavs , Dahi batata puri. Banta soda was delicious. Refreshing! Chicken lollipops were too red for my liking and the chicken didn't feel fresh . I won't reorder. Vada pav was delicious! Crispy vada with chutneys and the pav was super fresh. It came with a chilli which was roasted and was spicy to the point. Loved it! Star of the show was fish and chips. Chips were crispy and tasty. Bassa fish was delicious and the coating was ultra crispy. Sizzling brownie was fantastic. Gulabjamun cheesecake was exactly that. Nothing to add to that. The only issue I had was with the servers being busy with their friends throughout the service. Our server spent all of her time standing next to a table who were clearly her friends. I don't have a problem with that but she never came back to ask and I had to flag someone else down to ask for water, napkins refill and then we waited for someone to show up to order desserts. I will be back to taste their pav bhaji, kheema pav and lucky biryani and I hope the service is more attentive next time. Food: 4/5 Ambiance: 4.5/5 Service: 3/5

Yum yum yum. That's all I can say. Good food, great and friendly service from the owners daughter. A nice, cafe feel with a family-style area as well. Chai was piping hot, as was the food. There was a good variety of items as well. Would love to come again when we're in town.

Elco pani puri (named after Elco Arcade in Bandra)

Finally tried this on Diwali (Hindu new year) as been on my list for a while as I love Indian street food and have a special place for all things Bandra suburb in Mumbai (forever Bombay to me). The menu is indo-fusion and we tried the pani puri which was named after Elco which is famous for the pani puri street vendors. It came in a cute cart. It is fried and absolutely a flavor bomb in your mouth with the sweet and savory combo of tamarind and green chutney and presented in such a cute manner. We had the tawa parantha filled with potato (aloo) and gobi (cauliflower) served with fresh homemade yogurt, we both said it was pretty good. I had to get their Frankie with paneer (no egg) and I thought it was good as their wrap is lighter than most places that have this on their menu which came with masala fries or salad, went with the unhealthy option. Then we had the dalebi bread kulcha but neither was expecting it to be what it was and tbh, was my least favorite item but then again I probably over ate and was full by the time I ate it. The masala chai was one of the best I've tried and would go back just for that! We were served by Kushi (what a lovely name) and did not realize she was the daughter of the owner, so sweet and lovely just like what her name means happy. Go try it, and I plan to go back to try their non-vegetarian items as special days like today, was vegetarian, and with Indian street food, usually gravitate to vegetarian options anyways.

Still same zero stars. Substandard service, employees busy on their phone. Disorganized food servicing. I had to go here to meet someone

Finally a casual restaurant in North Delta that has a decent dessert offering! We came in to check it out and try a few items. We arrived about 25 minutes before closing but they were polite and ok to have us sit inside and order that close to closing. We ordered the peri peri wings to start. Ah they were delish! The sauce was super tasty and had a good amount of heat. I would say medium to hot. Served with a dip, which I think was a ranch? it cooled the heat so it was perfect. Also had a side of coleslaw. For dessert we ordered the churros ice cream sundae. The churro was not overly sweet and paired so well with the ice cream. They have other food items we will have to come back and try for lunch and dinner. I would say my only complaint would be that they need to be open later than 10pm! It's needed here in the city!

    Truffle fries...yummy!!!

Nice trendy Cafe with lots of food choices. Some interesting Indian fusion dishes. We enjoyed the fish tacos the first time we came and their truffles fries are always a hit. Make sure you indicate your spice level otherwise it will come out spicy. Lots of dishes great for sharing.

Great place to grab some really Indian street food. Great service, atmosphere, and food. Prices are reasonable and portions huge. The Bombay Chai is a must if you want a traditional creamy Indian tea, none of that chai tea latte nonsense! We will be back for dessert as you can see the portion was quite generous that I didn't have room.

The restaurant is beautiful with both Indian and Japanese design sensibilities. They have a table service restaurant with both high tea and an extensive a la carte menu, and it looks like you can also buy mithai in bulk. The food isn't really Japanese-Indian fusion as you might expect, but more like Japanese impression of Indian food, if that makes sense? There's a few hints of Japanese and Asian influence, but the menu is mostly modern Indian. All vegetarian. There's no vegan or gluten free options for afternoon tea, but the a la carte menu includes many clearly labeled vegan and GF dishes. I wanted to try the afternoon tea set to get a wide sampling of their offerings. The set included: corn spinach puff, paneer tikka slider, cream cheese cucumber sandwich, samosa, chutneys for dipping, manchurian skewers, orange cranberry scone with whipped cream, rose rasmalai cake, dodha crunch, motichoor cheesecake parfait, and the choice between masala chai, coffee, or hot/iced caffe latte. It's $32/person for the set, which is a great price. I also appreciated that it was possible to order the set for just one person since it seems like many teahouses will only do it for 2+ people. I thought all of the items in the set were pretty good, and there was a balance between the sweet and savoury items. The only things that really left anything to be desired were that the scone was a bit dry and crumbly, and I thought the tandoori paneer could have been more flavourful. In general the flavours of the savoury items were a bit more subtle than in typical authentic Indian food, but for the most part it didn't come across as bland to me, just a different take on it. The standouts in the set were: the paneer slider - even if the paneer itself didn't impress, I loved the almost flaky texture of the pav - the manchurian, and the rose rasmalai cake. Also, the cream cheese cucumber sandwich had cilantro or chutney or something in the cream cheese which made it much more interesting than the plain version of this sandwich. The masala chai (my chosen drink) was also very good. It was served in a pot that contained 2 small servings. My waiter was very friendly and stopped by a few times to check in. When I was done eating and wanted my bill, it was easy to get his attention. I visited at what seemed like a quiet time so I didn't have much competition for attention. One thing that I thought was odd was when he gave me the machine to pay, there was no tip option - it would be cool if they had a no-tip policy, but I never saw any mention of it, so I wonder if he accidentally bypassed the tip when putting in my charge. It was an interesting and very pleasant experience. I was so curious about this place that I made a trip out from Vancouver just to try it (and couldn't get anyone willing to go to Surrey for afternoon tea with me, hence the afternoon tea order for one), and it was worth the trip!

Expected it to be a small place serving some desserts but this place is huge and had a very young vibe! We looked around and everyone was digging into a big tub spooning out it's "shaved ice" like contents into small bowls and enjoying it. That's what I want i decided. It was Bingsoo! So delicious!! It comes in fruit flavours among others and we opted for strawberry bingsoo but I saw everyone going for a mango one. The bingsoo came in a big tub like bucket which had ice cream in the middle , ice on top and it was covered with strawberries and topped with whipped creme . We enjoyed it and it was frankly a little too much for 3 of us. We also tried the Nutella filled pancakes which were flaky and light! Definitely worth trying. We were pleasantly surprised that they offer guests access to their full drink menu including their specials. Ube matcha was good, but had a hint of cinnamon which we could have gone without. The matcha mango was also good. The blackberry lavender matcha was too floral for our liking. However, eventually you get used to it and then it becomes more enjoyable. The pandesals were super fresh and we loved both the ube and strawberry butters that came with it. I wish that they came a bit warmer, so that the butters could have melted a touch. I thoroughly enjoyed all 3 sandwiches. I especially loved the arugula on the mozerella sandwich. The blackberry brie sandwich could have used a touch more brie, but was still delicious. The cheesecakes were good, but a bit too sweet. The strawberry was my favorite. I enjoyed tasting multiple flavors. Their red velvet cupcake was extremely moist. The pistachio malasada was cute and flavorful. The filling to pastry ratio was good. I think that the experience could have been better balanced if there were a few more savory items. One thing that we noticed was that all of the pastries including the malasada were cold. I can understand that there are some food safe requirements that need to be met in how desserts are stored. However, letting them sit out for even 20-30 minutes before consumption would have been better.
