I chose the hotel primarily for the location, as it is in the center of Naperville on the river. Aside from location, the hotel has easy and convenient parking in the attached garage, free coffee in the mornings, and some reservations even include breakfast in the restaurant. The staff were very friendly, rooms were clean, and there were several items you could purchase in the lobby (snacks, soft drinks, etc...). I was a bit disappointed when we did request housekeeping and they were no longer available (as we requested late in the day), that they did not do the towel refresher and trash removal that we discussed by phone. I do think the biggest downfall of this hotel is the lack of outdoor space. With such a lovely location, there should really be balconies on each room, or perhaps a small terrace off the lobby. When inside the hotel, I still feel somewhat separated from the community. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and I would definitely stay next time I'm in town.

It was all arranged nicely and the view from the room was fantastic! The entire hotel only has 6 rooms so it was extremely nice and quiet. Check-in was easy and staff was nice. Breakfast was either brought to your room or eaten in the lounge. It was ordered the day before and brought to you in the morning, very nice. Our older daughter thought it was "fancy" and wants to come back. It was an extremely pleasant stay and we will be back!

We were able to gather in the lounge and go at our own pace. We stay here every time we return to the area. The rooms (recently updated) have always been big, very well appointed and pristine. It's incredibly quiet and parking is right there and always available. The best part is the incredibly friendly and helpful staff. The last time we came, they took great pains to help us get a (very hard) reservation at the student-run restaurant in the same building. They are also very knowledgeable about the area. The really good breakfasts are served at whatever time you want, either directly to your room or in the very nice lounge right next to the rooms. Why stay at a much more expensive and impersonal hotel when you can have a relaxed and quiet visit and save a bunch of money at the same time?

Modern decor with same size rooms, that said, the King room had a much more comfortable bed/mattress as well the smaller sofa vs chair made for a better lounge experience. Safe and mini fridge were standard with an impressive Gym. Various spa/massage options were available. In the not necessary but cool nevertheless category was a bathroom mirror TV. Also, liked the separate areas for shower and toilet. Another plus was the choice of restaurants attached to the Hotel-Zorba's lounge, Che Gita and Arista Cafe. We only got to try Arista and enjoyed the coffee. They have a good size lounge area with TV and workspace. Parking at their garage is complimentary and there was usually a spot open in the parking area in front of the hotel. Close to the downtown Naperville/West suburbs and about 50 minutes to Fulton market which worked for our trip. Service was friendly and engaged-Kelly helped with making our room change as smooth as possible given they were sold out of our original room type. They also have a car service for rides 10-15 minutes from the Hotel. Overall, solid option for a stay in the West Suburbs.

I…read moreonly hesitate to write this review because I'm worried it will be booked solid after, and we won't get a room next time we visit! To say the Oscar Swan is a gem is an understatement. The owner, Nina, is beyond fabulous. She was so kind, attentive and made us feel at home. Upon arrival we had the place to ourselves and Nina told us to head upstairs and pick out our rooms! EVERY room is beautiful. The decor throughout is curated perfectly for the property. We stayed with another family, kids in tow. The kids had a blast running around the property and playing in the pool. The gardens are gorgeous. The front lawn is bigger than a football field - perfect for frisbee! We woke up in the morning to a table set outside and the BEST breakfast spread you could ask for. Pancakes, amazing eggs, toast, banana bread, potatoes, fruit, and perfectly cooked bacon. I can't emphasize enough how gorgeous the setting is, how at home we felt and just all around grateful and happy we were to be there. We had a quick peek at the event space - it's fabulous!!! If I lived in town again and one of my kids were old enough to get married, I wouldn't consider hosting anywhere else!! It's a true time warp in the best possible way. Unlike the downtown Aurora location, it's very spacious and easy to get around. They've added new games that the downtown location didn't have and there are far more machines and tables at this location. We occasionally play craps and have found that they'll open two tables here if the first table is full. We're not huge slots players but have done so a couple times and found their new games to be a lot more engaging. The area by the sports book includes reclinable chairs in front of a wall of tv's that are nice to catch a game from. There's a restaurant in back of that for patrons to eat and watch. We also liked the separate food court area outside of the casino floor. They have a handful of storefronts to choose from that have various styles of food (seafood, Americana, pizza, etc). There's also an Italian restaurant inside the building that we haven't been to, but it has an impressive menu. The front parking lot generally has spaces, and the parking garage is easy to access. I've only found one small issue so far. It's with the bar nearest to the tv wall and restaurant. I've gone here twice with a smaller crowd on hand, and both times watched bartenders move at a snail's pace or just stand there and engage into a conversation with other staff instead of helping waiting patrons with a drink order. A 15-minute wait with 3-4 people sitting at the bar was a bit ridiculous. They also don't have self-serve soda/coffee machines like many new casinos offer. This is a no-brainer, and hopefully they'll add them. All in all, a solid A for effort here so far. Cheers.
