I called Westco Rooter with a plumbing emergency and they were at my house within the hour, as promised. My toilets would not flush and the water in the showers would not drain. With 2 boys and their friends at the house, I definitely needed a working bathroom. Garry Karayan showed up and quickly diagnosed the problem with the use of a camera. It turns out my old pipes had accumulated so much rust, that the build-up was causing a blockage in the main line. He used a technique called hydro-jetting to unclog the pipes. Garry was very informative about hydro-jetting and explained to me in detail why hydro-jetting was the best solution to remedy the current problem. The procedure was quick and all bathrooms were fully functional within an hour after he had arrived. Garry was very conscientious and covered his shoes before entering the house and cleaned up following the completion of the job. We had a bit of crisis two days before this past Christmas when our main water line broke prior to us moving into our first home. Within 10 minutes of my submitting a request online for someone to fix it not only Garry called me back but he was at my property assessing the situation. He was very straight forward and honest and walked me through the options. He was patient and educated me about the entire process. Another thing that sets Garry apart is that he is extremely prompt which I have found out is quite rare when dealing with various contractors. He gave me a very competitive bid and started work on Christmas day - we still feel bad about this - and had the whole job finished, including inspections, within 3 days. It turned out he didn't replace the gasket on the meter (he reused the old gasket) and that connection leaked. Two other plumbers had come b4 and were unable to clear the main line and charged for showing up anyway:/ They mentioned digging up the yard because they couldn't figure out how to clear the drain after only one try and their estimate was ridiculus. We called Garry to our house a few months back to replace the water line and sewer drain going from our house to the street, and wow we were so impressed with his customer service. He came on time, quickly inspected the whole area, got his camera out and inspected our sewer line, gave us a great estimate and was on his way. Some other places I had called in the past, wanted to charge us $250 to inspect our sewer line that we kindly denied, but Garry did it for us for free, he is an amazing guy, one of the nicest guys I met during my remodeling project.
