I had my exhaust pipe nearly fall off last Monday. I called and they said I could bring it in that day so I dropped it off before they closed. (Another business couldn't look at it until Wednesday). They called to tell me what was wrong with the exhaust and my a/c compressor needed replacing. I have on old Subaru and I have been going to the dealership for service since I bought the car. On two not so distance trips they told me both would need work, so I knew it was coming, just wasn't sure when. The repairs were finished by Friday afternoon, due to a part being shipped from another state. I think they were fast, courteous, professional, and honest. Had a squeak in my brakes, owner said the rear drums needed to be cleaned for $150. That didn't fix the squeak, owner offered to sand down the front brake pads. Squeak still there. After calling around to multiple different Autobody centers, North Center Auto Service was the only place that said I could come immediately and I was in and out in under 15 minutes. The underbody of my car was dragging on the ground when I backed up. I was so grateful they could take me in on such short notice as I needed to go to the suburbs in the evening for a family emergency. I brought my car in with a flat tire that I got in the suburbs an hour away. They were able to get my car in right away, and they only had it overnight so that they could order the tires they recommended. The guy I spoke with on the phone was very knowledgeable and gave me the pricing for one tire and a full set for two different brands, so that I could make the best choice for myself. Got the recommendation from Soundz Good (another great place) that Elmer and his crew did great work. Took my car in, and he gave me a laundry list of stuff that needed to be fixed up. Knowing it was quite a list, he prioritized things for my budget, and offered a discount if I did a bunch the work at once. I decided to do the lot of it, and he offered an even bigger discount. What really stands about about their staff is their honesty and thoroughness. I received a comprehensive safety inspection after realizing that my car's fuel economy was far below advertised. The staff looked at the car thoroughly and discovered some wear/tear on the tires but otherwise reported no serious issues. They also gave me a few recommendations to boost fuel economy. North Center Auto saved the day for me! I like to work on my own cars but was struggling with fixing a coolant leak. I brought it over and they fixed it quickly for a very affordable cost. They know what they are doing over there. The car that was fixed is a 2010 Land Rover LR4 that can be difficult to work on due to Land Rovers weird engineering. I wish I could give 10 stars!! Elmer is phenomenal! I had never been to NCAS before but I came by to get some parts replaced on my car. Elmer greeted me with a big smile and was super warm and inviting. He said he only needed an hour to work on my car so I planned to work while I waited for it. As busy as he was, he voluntarily got me all set up in their office space with everything I would need to work. He gave me the wifi password, offered me coffee, and gave me sanitizer wipes to wipe down the area I would be working. He went above and beyond! Sure enough, my car was done right at the hour (like he said) and my car was good as new! He had great attention to detail and the things I asked for when I handed over my car he made sure to address and provide for me without me needing to remind him or follow up about these items. While I worked in their office space, I observed how they treated their customers coming in and out, and I was really impressed by the business they are running.
