Great service - they helped me replace a flat tire - putting on the spare tire while we waited for the replacement tire to be ordered.

Late Friday I popped a tire. I immediately called Milito's as they had replaced one of my tires before. They let me know they would have my new tire by noon on Saturday. I got the car there early so they could also check on my engine light that had come on. I worked with Jayjay. He called an hour later and let me know what needed to be fixed in addition to the tire. Knowing I needed my car, Jayjay picked up the parts that were needed. They were able to get everything finished ahead of time the same day. Now that my car is out of warranty, Milito's is my new mechanic. Best service ever. read more

Came in here in kind of a desperate fashion since my car stopped blowing warm air and winter is upon us. They were quick to diagnose the problem and quick to repair it as well. Overall the communication was excellent, the problems were diagnosed and addressed. I don't love the pricing, but they do get the job done so I'd recommend them and come back again if/when needed. read more

Milito's were the best! I came in on a snowy Sunday morning after being hit on the Indiana tollway by a semi. My driver side mirror was broken and I couldn't continue my journey west, Milito's was listed as a Tesla repair shop (Tesla Chicago is not open on Sunday) so I limped my car to Milito's. They took the car in and held it for me for a few days while I got a transporter to get it back to NY where I live. This was faster as Tesla couldn't supply the mirror in time. J.J. from Milito's called me every day, not to get the car out of there but to make sure I was okay and that the car issue was being handled. I pulled out of my garage at 7 AM and noticed I had a flat tire. I usually get my car washed at Milito's (highly recommend!) but I have never brought my car in for a service. Since it was close, I drove on my flat straight to Militios. The workers were so kind immediately. They noticed I had a nail in my tire and patched it and only charged me $35! I got to Militos around 7:10 with my car and my tire was patched and I was back on the road to work by 7:40. Beware! The sales pitch is HARD and they'll charge you $100 to walk through the door - they call it their inspection fee, which the don't tell you about. I brought my car in last fall because the air conditioning was blowing hot air. Milito's claimed to have fixed the problem, and, to their credit, the a/c was blowing cold air when I picked up my car. One week later, the a/c was blowing hot air again, exactly as it had been when I brought my car in. I called Milito's and asked if they would fix this, and honor their warranty. The man I spoke to laughed at me and said "No, this must be a new problem. We fixed your car. You'll have to pay for this." It was the same problem, not a new problem. They hadn't fixed anything, they just added freon which was a temporary fix. There is still a real problem, which causes my a/c to blow hot air. After spending $$$ on Milito's "fix" I couldn't afford another round of bogus "repairs". TLDR: Their warranty is a lie. They will claim that you have a "new problem" so they can charge you full price again for repairs that they should have done the first time. Go elsewhere. read more

I strongly encourage others to read the 1 star reviews. Their detail reveals a pattern of sloth, incompetence, and or shadiness. I took my car in before July 4 because I needed to fix a tire before a long drive and I couldn't get into my dealer. The tire had picked up a nail. First, they told me it couldn't be patched. I was surprised as the nail wasn't near the wall and looked pretty straight up and down. I am no expert and was in a bind so I said ok. They replaced the tire and got it back to me, as they had promised. All seemed fine. Then, days later, my wife FaceTimed, telling me she was stuck with a completely flat tire. This time, I took it to my dealer who correctly replaced the tire. I called to Militos to complain and they told me they needed the flat tire "for the warranty." I brought them the tire and they said it must have been a new issue because there was a big gash in the tire. I hadn't personally inspected the tire because I was in a rush (another work fire drill), which was my second mistake. I don't even know if there was a gash but again I took them at their word out of necessity. They promised to contact the tire company and try to get a refund and then...radio silence. Funny thing....when a tire isn't sealed properly and you drive even a little bit on a soon to be flat tire, you are very likely to cause damage to the tire. Though Milito's claimed to have done tires for years and never had a problem, their claims appear to be bluster. Other mechanics all told me there is no way the tire was installed correctly. Rather than acknowledge the likely culprit -- their own shoddy work, they claimed it must be a "new issue." Note the pattern with other reviews. While it's possible that people's tires and ac are fixed (or replaced) and then break or fail again within days, it's statistically implausible. It cost me about $400, but I learned a lesson. Sit tight and go to the mechanic you usually use. I've never had an issue with my dealer's service (even though it's a premium, I know) and I won't deviate in the future. Paying full price for a temporary, illusory fix is not worth the price. read more

Mercedes GL450 mechanics: Honest, reasonable and expert service! How refreshing! No dealer BS. I knew my Mercedes GL450 airmatic comoressor was broken. I called on Saturday morning, Militos said come over right now! (the other foreign car specialists said they couldn't see me for at least a week.) He knew right away what the problem was and had it all fixed and ready to drive Monday night. They are my go-to mechanics from now on. Great people, great service, great prices! I had my car towed there having never used their services before. J.J. called me the next morning with a quote of $1,450 for spark plugs, coil, air filter, and one other thing that was not expensive. I called back to get a break down of the cost of parts and labor and then called another Auto Repair shop and got a quote for HALF the price. The other mechanics were shocked when I told them what I was quoted at Milito's. J.J. had also tried to sell me a belt for $1,400. I have looked up all belts for my car and the most expensive one is $155. So not only did he blatantly lie to me and to try to make more money, he attempted to insult my intelligence. They could have had a long term customer had they been honest, but they went with short term thinking and got this review. Their quote was so far off that I had my car towed again from Milito's to the other mechanic and still saved $500. Blows my mind that people can lie to make a profit and not even blink an eye. read more

**WARNING-- this place will NOT finish the job and will still overcharge you** I needed to bring in my car to have the bumper grill and the side mirror turn signal light strip replaced, both of which I had already bought the replacement parts for. I received a quick response via email and was quoted $189. I brought it in and was told I would have the car back that day. The next day at noon, after not receiving any call from them, I called myself to find out that my car was ready. Slightly annoyed, I went to pick it up. The total ended up being $220. But I thought, "fine, at least it's done." But it wasn't. I went to get my car and the side mirror hadn't even been touched, even though I had provided them the replacement part. I was late for work though so instead of going back in and dealing with the CS person I would have to take care of it via email. After asking for an explanation via email though, I never received a response. So they thought it was perfectly acceptable to only do half the job and yet charge me $30 more than I was quoted. These guys are kind, they answer all questions, answer their phones, and they don't upsell you unnecessarily. I trust them with my cars, and know that the money is worth it (I don't feel like I am overpaying!) I really like that they have a parking lot so I don't have to worry about street parking. These folks scammed me good. Went in to get my brakes checked, they said the brakes were fine (they weren't and i had to go somewhere else after) and told me frantically that I needed xyz done NOW. under pressure i just said yes (my mistake as I don't know much about cars so i just trusted them) and they replaced things that they had replaced just a few months before that did NOT need to be replaced. Such as spark plugs which only need to be replaced every 18,000 miles minimum, which mine had maybe 500. Of course I did all this research after the fact and have learned to go into mechanics knowing exactly what needs to be replaced when. In addition, my side mirror was taped on and I asked if they could look at it and just tell me how much it would cost to replace it. They proceeded to take the tape off and put screws in it without my permission or even telling me. There was no way to undo their damage and now I'm stuck with this mirror screwed in. You have to know EXACTLY what you need done and must be able to say no under pressure over the phone of someone making it sound like you can't drive your car away without xyz done. read more

I advise anyone not to go to his shop. I turned my car in for a check engine light, after running the diagnostic, the service manager told me it would be fixed by doing a tune up : coil and spark plug replacements . When I called back they said the car was ready, paid at the front desk the balance which was 730 dollars, start my car and to my surprise the check engine light was still on. Then I left the car to them for 2 more days during which I had to constantly call to check on the status, since they would not call me back. They finally said they can not fix my issue and that I should take the car to a dealership . read more

I took my Jeep Grand Cherokee to Milito's for a repair and was taken care of every step of the way. The communication from this shop is top notch. Tony, whom I believe is the owner, helped me setup an appointment. Once we got the ball rolling on that, JJ kept in contact with me as they waited about a week for a back ordered part to be delivered. JJ called me the following weekend once the part was there and was able to squeeze me in that same day. Very friendly staff, honest work, and nice neighborhood location. I took my jeep Cherokee there because it was over heating (I have my own mechanic I have all my records and never had and issue) The only reason I took it there was because it was close to my house and since my car was over heating I really didn't have a choice, they fix the hose the next day I picked up my truck the engine light came on, and it started over heating again I called them I brought it back now the mechanic tells me the jeep has a leak and he doesn't know how to fix it to take it back to the dealership and ask if they can fix it!!! The problem I have here is if its something they did than be responsible for it and don't just clean your hands and say take it to the dealer to see if they can fix it!!! They charge $500.00 and NOW I have to take it to the dealer and spend more money I don't think so!!!! I said if you are a mechanic wouldn't you know what the problem is he said no I don't know what it is so that's why you have to take it to the dealership to see if they can fix it!!! Not only did they take my $500.00 now I have to spend more money because they don't know what's wrong with my truck!! You would've think they would at least give half of the money back since they couldn't and don't know how to fix the problem but no they are so money hungry individuals The girl in the front desk eating chips in-front of customers licking on her fingers and handing the customers their car keys!!! Overall, Milito's is ok - the technicians are friendly and the service is prompt. So why is Milito's only 'ok', it should be great, right? I needed to get some work done and they quoted me $1,400 or so for the repairs. However, my issue with Milito's is how they handled my additional request. When I brought my car, I asked if they could mount the front license plate, which the gentleman told me they could, however he never quoted me a price. When I came to pick up my car, I noticed they charged me $63.00 for 30 mins of time for mounting on the front plate with two bolts. They definitely overcharged on that considering I just tipped a AAA technician to do the same for my other car $20 and it took him like 5 minutes. He didn't even ask for a tip, just did it for free after jumping my battery. They are claiming that it took less time to change the oil and filter than the time for drilling two bolts. Doesn't seem right, especially after spending so much on repairs already. If you need work done, Milito's is ok. Your car will run but so will your cash. read more

Open more days and hours than other service shops. They are great and priced well. I got a flat on Sunday night and everybody else was closed. Militos did tire repair (patching) until 10pm. I'm so thankful. So I showed up and they took me in right away and in 15/20 minutes they finished and fixed it completely! I was so happy! I recommend them totally! read more

The staff inside and in the service center are fantastic, friendly and knowledgeable. I got there for mainly my tire repairs. If you don't like pumping your own gas, this too is the place. The car wash is not particularly good in my opinion given the price and this is an auto wash. The guys barely dry the car and don't really seem to car if you don't like how your car comes out.
