Long story short due to their guidelines I couldn't have my kiddos there at all and I grew frustrated because of me taking off of work already I couldn't afford to reschedule my appointment for another day. After going back and forth for about 20 minutes I was advised I could come back in the next hour without the kiddos which I was able to get some help from their grandmother for a few hours. My rescheduled appointment was at 12:30 in which having to wait for the kiddos to get picked but I didn't make it tell 12:40 as I come back they had me go straight back set me up and did all my stuff cleaning and second fill. Overall I just want to say being mad and frustrated I was able to get my stuff done and leave numb but done with fills until braces. I have been a patient at this office for about 20 years. Unfortunately, I have not had good experiences in the last year with the quality of the service. My fillings and crowns kept falling out. When I came back in to have them fixed, I would get scolded for eating with them. What was supposed to be about 4 trips to get 2 crowns, a root canal, and about 5 fillings turned into literally 13 visits. I still have work that needs to be fixed. I will be finding a new dentist. Last week, another front filling came out, and I had a gap between my teeth. I have a photo session tomorrow. I went to them today to have them place a permanent crown that I had already paid for, and I didn't have them fix it because I just couldn't bear to be there any longer. Even though they would not have charged me. I am so disappointed that I really like to stick to my neighborhood for my medical needs. There was just too much this last round. I went in to have my teeth cleaned and I had to wait 3 hours for my appointment, before they came back and informed me they wouldn't see me due to insurance issues. There were none. I verified with my insurance and this place simply just sucks. read more

please save yourself the headache from dealing with this location. the staff is incredibly inconsiderate and completely lacks the ability to deliver proper customer service to their patients, i.e, just providing active listening skills. the manager, veronica, also cannot take accountability for her staff and their inabilities. doctors provide mediocre service. I went there for the first time in Nov 2022. I schedule to have a complete exam and cleaning. After the exam was completed, I waited 30 minutes. There was nobody there to do the cleaning. In so many words that I heard, the dentist could have done it, but she didn't want to do it. I had to reschedule the following week on a day that I worked. At this moment, I should have gone home and start looking for another place. But I didn't. On July 4, 2023, a tooth came out. The dentist said she would do a crown, but I heard say under her breath that she didn't know if she could save what was left of the tooth. She did the crown and 3 months 2 weeks later the crown came off. I went back and asked for my money. The manager said it couldn't happen, but she would credit the amount I paid for the crown towards an implant. I did a complaint with my insurance. They said they couldn't do anything. If they couldn't do a crown properly, how do I expect them to do an implant properly? If an exam was done in Nov, why didn't they tell me the tooth might be a problem in the future? Was not the best experience, if it wasn't for my insurance, I probably wouldn't come again . it was my first time and the staff was not polite at all no one knew what to do or what was going on apparently. I got called back finally a hour after being there for my scheduled appointment and the lady that sits at the front said umm do you have this patient "Alexis" she said yes she's right here at this time I was already bitting down for them to take xrays then we both felt uncomfortable because out loud She said " well this patient was first" they lady that was helping me said so do I make her go back to the waiting room and the lady said yes wouldn't even look at me or apologize for the inconvenience or embarrassment.. I then finally went back again and the whole time I was exposed to the radiation.. it wasn't till someone came over and said "put the vest on her".. as I was leaving, they said they were going to call my insurance to get approval that day and it's been a week and they still didn't call anybody. Hate to ever leave negative reviews because I believe no one intentionally does a bad job - but this office is frustrating. I paid upfront all work necessary, as well as some mouth molds. Was told 4-6 weeks for the molds to come in and would be contacted. It's been 3 months and still ZERO communication from this company. I've made a phone call at least once a week for the last month and a half after it began to feel like it was too long after the original arrival date of the mold was provided. No one answers in the office. It then directs you to their 24/7 customer service line. I think the 24/7 references how long you will have to wait to ever speak with anyone - I'll be on hold and after 10 minutes the call will drop. I have not been able to get a hold of anyone. I can't begin to add up all the wasted time I've given this business trying to get a hold of them for something I've already paid for. Went by today at 12:35p to go talk to someone about this whole mess because no one ever answers the phone... and nope, no one in the office because lunch time is from 1p-2p - didn't I say I got there at 12:35p? Yep... sure did. Giving this review a few days to see if anyone cares enough to reach out and resolve. Next steps will be charging back all payments for services and product that we're not provided. Western Dental - you have a chance to fix this reactively with me, but to any upper management reading this, I highly suggest you audit your locations and understand the lack of service being provided so you can proactively address. Went in for my 6 month cleaning in June just to find out they double booked the hygienist. So I left. They did however proceed to bill y insurance company for $261 - for X-rays and a cleaning. I have been calling and emailing the corporate office as well as the Elliot location and can get nobody to help me. This Tempe Western Dental office that I visit occasionally has a pleasant atmosphere, and all of the associates working there are very helpful and respectful of their clients' dental needs and their time. I needed to have some dental work done after the pandemic was over, and this office in South Tempe has been a great one for completing the work I needed to have done. Been coming here for about 5 years now and before the pandemic their service and dental work was ok like maybe 3 stars but sticked with them because i didn't want to go through the hassle of finding a new place. For about the past year their service has just been horrible. Every time I try to get a cleaning done it's an excuse, drove there 3 times and couldn't get it done. Today I had an appointment and waited for over an hour for nothing and they weren't sure when they could see me. I used sick time at work for nothing. This place is just a mess. They claim to be open on Saturdays and evenings but good luck trying to get anything done with them. I was nice about the situation because I work in customer service myself but their service is horrible. Just very frustrating and disappointing. I've come here on emergency basis as well as normal care and have yet to be disappointed. Dr. Goud is amazing and after years of being in pain after an appointment I don't experience that here. The new manager Brandon is very friendly and for the first time I didn't feel like a burden for making several appointments at once. Only gave four stars due to issues with temporary crowns. The first one came off day one, I went back in for a new one and when I stated it was still loose I was handed cement mix to cement it myself. I was unsuccessful with getting it in place before the cement dried. So now a third trip is needed for the same issue. But again they have new management to fix previous issues. read more

Not only have I waited for hours everytime I have shown up for my scheduled appointments (I have arrived early everytime and they still have made me wait over 1 hour plus past my scheduled appointment time) but the front desk staff has been rude each time, they don't listen to a word you say and just immediately tell you to sit down when you show up to check in( first time I waiting 30 minutes for someone to say anything else to me before I went back up) once I went back up they then told me I showed up late and would have to wait longer ( I showed up 25 minutes early to my appointment but Noone got me checked in because I was immediately told to sit down and someone would be with me in a moment) Noone ever talked to me after that untill I went back up... Not to mention the entire time I was waiting they were on thier cell phones and chatting with each other about their weekend plans and stuff that had nothing to do with anything they were supposed to be doing, meanwhile the phones are ringing non stop while they ignore the calls, and the lobby is full of upset people that they have had waiting for hours and the staff refuses to acknowledge when anyone asks any questions. Additionally I have been trying to cancel my upcoming appointment for over a week now and they only give you the option to call to cancel or reschedule an appointment, the problem with that is that litteratly Noone anwsers the phone, each time I have called to try and cancel (now up to 13 different times) I have sat on hold for up to 45 minutes each time before the system hangs up on me and I have to start over. One of my calls someone did finally anwser and immediately asked if they could put me on hold, I said " no I just need to cancel my appointment and have been trying to cancel it for days now but have never had anyone actually anwser" to which the lady replied "well I have to put you on hold" then put me on hold again before I could even say anything and within 2 minutes of that they anwsered didn't say anything then hung up on me. I am now currently on hold STILL trying to cancel my appointment and this is my 3rd call just this morning because after about 45 minutes on hold the system hangs up. Words cannot even express how aggravating this is, I've never experienced such unprofessional In person staff before nor have I ever had such an insanely difficult time to just cancel an appointment save your time, money and sanity and just go somewhere else if you are looking for a good dental office, you definitely won't find it here. read more

this place is horrible , i have called 10 times each time i need to get in contact with them and they haven't answered the phone one time. i needed to see if my insurance covered my wisdom teeth removal and they never got back to me , i had to go in to the office to ask if they got a response back and they still couldn't give me an answer , said they would call me the next day and never did. i'm not sure the name of the woman at the front desk but she has no idea what she's doing , the dentists act like they're overwhelmed and don't want to answer any questions you have even if there's no other patients in the office. read more

She put me at ease because she explained everything to me in great detail and in terms that was easy to understand and got a full comprehension of what was going on with me and how we were going to make it all better! I truly appreciate her kindness and care for my situation. She was on top of it and I left her care feeling great because I know I'm on the right path to getting taking care of! Her staff at Western Dental Tempe is absolutely amazing. Dental Assistant Lily was thee greatest of all time, she explained everything to a T and cleared up any confusion/concerns I had. Receptionist Chanel was so pleasant and easy to work with because she had my best interest (financially) at heart. Horrible experience, the only good thing about this office is the front desk staff is willing to assist and answer questions. My girlfriend and I went to Western Dental for a tooth extraction (no insurance) and they told her it was necessary to get a bone graph with the extraction which increased the total price for the one tooth to $820. In addition, to remove two other teeth and perform a root canal, and additional services the total for everything was $4500+. The dentist was rude, didn't want to spend the time to speak with us as if he wouldn't give us the time of day. I did some searching and recommended my dentist to her which is Beyond Expectations Dental. They set her up with an appointment and extracted the tooth for $120 and was willing to do all the work for less that 1k. Save your money, go somewhere else. Especially if you have insurance. read more

This has been the worst dental experience I have ever had. Let's take it back to the very beginning... I first went to WD to get a tooth looked at, as I was having a lot of pain. Turns out, it needed to be extracted. The doctor that extracted the tooth was great, talking me through the procedure and always making sure I was okay during the procedure. He was great, but it all went downhill from there. My husband went in to get a cleaning, by Dr. Park. The cleaning was subpar. Not at all what a cleaning should be. My husband still had plaque build up that should have been cleaned/removed during his cleaning. I then had to get a bridge. First of all, the temporary caps the assistants put in were horrible. They fell out as soon as I left the office. I had to go back multiple times to get the temporary caps put back on. And this was all happening in the 3 weeks I was waiting for my bridge. Once my bridge came in, I was excited because now I wouldn't have an tooth sensitivity and my bridge would be in already. When I got to the office, I spent over an hour and a half sitting in chair, having Dr. Park "try" to get my bridge to "fit." After an hour and a half, Dr. Park BROKE the bridge. He told me that he was going to order a new one because "he had made so many adjustments" on the bridge that he didn't want to put something like that in my mouth. When, in fact, he broke it. The assistant made new temporary caps (which fell out almost instantly) and I had to wait another 3 weeks for a new bridge to be ordered. I again went into the office to get the new, reordered bridge put in. This time, I spent about an hour in the chair, and I FINALLY left with my bridge put in. Things were decent until I started having tooth sensitivity under the bridge, toothaches, ear aches and pain where my bridge was. I went in for an appointment to get my bridge looked at. I was taken back at 1:59pm (my appointment was at 2pm), sat in the chair for 16 minutes. Then, Dr. Park came and spoke to me for 3 minutes, and told me that he will get someone to take X-rays. I waited another 15 minutes before getting up and walking out the see 6 people, including Dr. Park, at the front desk, watching the tv that was in the waiting room. Then, I told the front desk staff that I should not have to pay for the bridge work done because it was not done correctly. The office manager, Laura, didn't even let me explain. She said, "I know who you are, you are the only person to walk out today." I called back, and the second girl, Andrea, would not give me any of the names of the other 6 people "working" (and by working, I mean just sitting at the front desk). I have also been on hold with their customer service line for over 25 minutes. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHES. DO NOT GO TO WESTERN DENTAL. THEY ARE TRYING TO CHARGE ME FOR WORK THAT WAS DONE INCORRECTLY! I CAN'T EVEN BEGIN TO EXPLAIN HOW THE FRONT OFFICE STAFF IS JUST NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE ORIENTED. read more

Unprofessional and money hungry! The way the employee answering phones and setting up payments was unbelievable. The conversations overheard talking to other patients were mind blowing. But my husbands treatment was the worst. W/o asking permission she runs his Care Credit card for $500 for services that weren't even started. Took our credit card and started a payment plan w/o notifying him that she was about to do so. The up sell is worst than at a used car dealership. Western dental use to be amazing as a kid but all these new staff don't care at all. You make an appointment with a call center not the actual location you can't reach them without being transferred from the call center. When you get to the actual location they check you in and still have you wait an hour past the appointment time. When you are actually in the back the dentist are never working with you but talking to other staff. You can also hear the other staff gossip about patients. After waiting a week and making multiple calls to the office about my insurance and being told that a manager was looking at it, I walked into the building asking about my insurance the lady with dirty blond hair and a maroon scrubs like 26 years old told me that she's not able to help me. I asked why she said she was an orthodontist and doesn't do that. I asked if there was anyone to help since I've been waiting for a week and experiencing major teeth issues. She said no that no one wasn't gonna help me, then I asked for a manager and she said the lady will be back she said she didn't know and didn't care. I advised I'll wait in the lobby since I need this don't because of the pain I'm experiencing and she told me that I'm not gonna talk to her. The front desk receptionists are nice! But the bad review goes to the one dentist they have there. My mother went in for some tooth pain and the doctor isn't very friendly. Fine. You don't want o interact with people. Whatever. BUT.. my mother needed a tooth extraction and since she was in pain instead of trying to find another dentist that are accepting new patients amongst covid.. I asked them to do it.. while doing the extraction. The dentist did it without considering that my mother can't open her mouth much and didn't put a tool to keep her mouth open but she took both hands kept spreading her mouth.. after the surgery took my mother home. Even after a week she has this large wrinkle on the side of her mouth that won't go away from the doctor pulling and tugging my mother's mouth to do the surgery. I recommend going to maybe a private practice but don't come here,, oh and the people over the phone taking reservations.. got mad at me for not understanding the question they were asking me LOL he kept telling me "it's an easy question" maybe for you?? I had an appointment with the "oral surgeon" and he was uncaring and so rough...I could still feel the pain after he numbed my tooth and started to pull it...he managed to break a bit of it off also so I made him stop and told him I would reschedule...I later found out that he is not an oral surgeon but he does oral surgeon appointments because they don't have one on staff...I am looking for another place to have my work done.
