Reached out to Western Rooter for a gas leak detection on a 61 year old house with original piping and had an awesome experience. Started a few weeks back, I had to reschedule multiple times and Aura was always accommodating and friendly. On the day of, Ricky & Team showed up and immediately got to work. They quickly found the main line running from our meter on the curb under our lawn to the house was badly corroded and brittle to the touch. They dug out a perfect trench and ran new poly gas piping for us and added a shutoff valve to the main line going into the house to allow us quick access to shut off gas in an emergency rather than having to reach down underground by the meter. I like the fact that they put all the dirt on a tarp and made sure to keep the top layer of grass in tact to put the lawn back together at the end. Excellent workmanship at a competitive price. These guys are such hard-working, honest plumbers. They had a huge job to do! They had to work around a backyard nursery filled with succulents and cactus in order to lay a new gas line. The job wasn't easy, but they were respectful of all of the plants and worked diligently to complete the job, even working after dark to finish everything before the rains came. They also had to fix a broken water line and made sure to get everything completed. I would highly recommend them for all of your plumbing needs - especially Arnold and Carlos! I'm super confused... I requested service 6 1/2 years ago through yelp. I just heard back for the first time a few days ago. When I responded basically saying "You missed your chance and I don't even live in the house with the plumbing problem anymore" they then started sending me (too many and too frequent) long messages through yelp about sales they're having Instead of either bowing out gracefully or attempting to apologize for their horrible customer service... Which is funny because after the 6.5 year waiting period for a reply, I began looking backwards at the work they had done for me in the past. For what they charge, they could at least provide quality work... which they do not, they over charge for a underwhelming experience. When I finally was forced to find their replacement due to them just disappearing, I found much better quality plumbers for a fraction of the cost. I do not recommend western rooter for anything other than a disappointing and aggravating experience. read more

Almost immediately after typing in my general concerns, I received a text message and even a phone call. By 8 AM the next morning, the Technician was already indicating that he was on his way. After having interviewed a few other plumbers and receiving other quotes, I immediately said yes to Elias. It was just a feeling, and how he presented himself. Literally mid-way through the party, my husband noticed the clean out was leaking water. When someone had flushed the toilet very unpleasant stuff started to come out of the clean out. Repeat customer for a reason. I am a renter. Before my residence was sold to a new owner, but while it was still up for sale, the previous owner refused to provide maintenance. I had an urgent plumbing issue, but not an emergency. Back then, Carlos the Plumber arrived when promised, quickly diagnosed the issue, and did the repair. All under 30 minutes. He used quality parts. The repair lasted. The new owner bought the house three years ago. He uses a handyman to make repairs. The handyman acquires cheap and inferior parts from Home Depot. The plumbing repairs last from two to six months. This handyman visits the residence every other month to repeat repairs. It must be costly to the owner. I recently had another plumbing urgency. I had quite the discussion with the owner to use a real plumber who works with high quality parts and he begrudgingly agreed. Richard the Plumber arrived at the residence when promised. He quickly diagnosed the issue. He expertly discussed and convinced the owner to accept the repair (quite the feat), and he completed the repair using high quality, and appropriate, parts. He wasted no time. The owner felt the cost of the repair was high (in my opinion, the cost was fair). Since Richard's repair was done correctly, I believe the repair will last far more than two months. This means, in the long run, the cost is not that expensive compared to what the handyman charges. Western Rooter is 2 for 2 with me. I will continue to insist that the owner of my residence use Western Rooter for future repairs. If my residence is an investment opportunity for someone, I should think that using professionals for maintenance is the best investment one can make. And yes, I highly recommend Western Rooter. read more

My driveway was flooded. It was about to flood my garage which would have been a disaster. Called Western Rooter at 7:00 am and Charles showed up 30 minutes later. We had to use the powerful Hydro Jet to clear the main drain. Charles was not able to clear the drain his first attempt but he never gave up. He then tried from the street. It took Charles 2 hours of hard work in the rain to clear that drain but it worked. He was very nice and competent in his work. Thank you Charles and the entire team. I was out of town and came home to a pretty extensive main line water leak. No idea where the leak was located. I had to shut off the water. Since this was an emergency and a Friday late afternoon I didn't have time to do extensive research on a company. I looked at two different companies and opted to Western Rooter & Plumbing...keeping my finger crossed. Ricky and Juan came out on Saturday and quickly diagnosed the issue and found the source of the leak. They had to dig pretty extensively. They exposed the area and made a list of parts they needed. They came back the next day and repaired the leak and re-plumbed the shut off valve for easy access to shut off water to the house. They used quality parts and I have peace of mind that it was fixed the right way. Ricky kept me appraised to what they were doing. Communication was excellent. I noticed some water stains on my ceiling so I called and made a next day appointment with Western Rooter. My window was 2-4pm and lo and behold, I hear a knock at 2:02! Excellent! Ryan was the one who diagnosed our issue (old bathtub drain pipe sprung a leak). He was professional and wore a mask the entire time he was here. The fix would require 2 people to be present, so Manny came out to help cut the replacement pipe and help Ryan with getting the new piece installed. He also wore a mask the whole time and was very friendly. I was so grateful that the repair could be made right then and there during this appointment! Ryan also was kind enough to take a peek at another issue we had while he was here. I highly recommend Ryan, Manny, and Western Rooter. Peace of mind-- that's what you get with these guys. In my past dealings with plumbers, you never know what you're going to get. One guy may quote you 3x more than the next guy, and you're really left to trust that they aren't scamming you. It's been a rough 2020 so far, and I had my second major plumbing issue occur-- this time for a main sewer line replacement. Western Rooter is not the cheapest, let's start there, but you know what? They're legit, reliable, and honest, and the premium is worth it (not the most expensive either). Jared and Jacob came over and replaced my main sewer line and showed up with a positive attitude. My pet peeve is when a service provider gives you a 4 hour window of when they'll show up, and still show up an hour late-- this seems to happen to me all the time. That didn't happen with this team, they were Johnny on the spot, showing up right at the early part of the window! They respected all the COVID protocol and wore masks and shoe covers every Time they entered the house. Once the job was done, they showed me before and after pics and thoroughly tested to make sure everything was functioning. So, get this. My wife and I were moving from Sierra Madre to North Carolina on August 1st. I was going to disconnect the refrigerator ice water line and realized when the idiotic plumbers replumbed my kitchen many years ago they did not install a separate shutoff for the water supply line; they simply tapped off the cold angle stop. This did not allow to use the kitchen sink. I did not want to leave it like that for the new owners. My house was full of boxes and who knew where any of my own tools were to do such a job.
