Absolute worst food i've ever had it wasn't eatable chicken was pink and chewy and chips were wet and stale like they had been sitting for weeks, found a eye lash in my mashed potatoes.Waitresses never came to the table. We are 6 states into an 8 state road trip and have eaten in many establishments thus far. Tonight we wandered into this restaurant. I travel with a Service Dog and this place gets a 4 paw salute. No issues at all. Really makes me feel welcome. You go up to the counter and place your order. We both got the buffet with drinks. They are in the midst of remodeling, and the cashier let us know where we could sit. She was very nice and friendly. We took our drinks and tray to a table behind the buffet. Mom filled her plate first, then I followed suit. I got back to the table and mom is raving about the fried liver. Not my thing at.all...but she was impressed. I tried some meat loaf, taters and gravy. Delicious!! I also got some chicken pot pie..perfect flakey crust and creamy chickeny goodness. This whole time, Tricia (sp?) Our waitress was a rock star! I never had to ask for a refill and she whisked the used plates away in a timely manner. I spoke to some of the cook staff and they were all extremely pleasant and knowlegable about their dishes. It's been very rare for us to find such outstanding service on this trip. I asked to speak to the manager on duty, and I thought I heard Tricia's heart drop. It's too bad that people feel that way. I believe in praising great service and she delivered some of the best in 6 states! The owner of the facility has done an awesome job of hiring some great people! They should be very proud of them! I have been eating at this Western Sizzlin as long as I can remember every time I visit relatives in the area. And a lot of times it is kind of a tongue and cheek joke. I get it, it is a buffet in Arkansas, not for everyone. But our last visit it really sank in. It is not great, but it has been consistently good at a great value for decades. After eating at a couple other national chains and a local nightmare, I relly wish we would have eaten there more than once during our 2 day stay. Bad customer service and old food. The waitress assigned to our table never came to check on us. I wanted some ice cream, and when I went to get some, it was runny and hard at the same time. I travel all over the country for work and stopped in here to eat tonight. Unfortunately I didn't really get to eat much. Don't get up to go to the bathroom because you will come back to your whole table being cleared. I had a full glass and a plate full of food that I had just gotten sitting on the table. As any seasoned traveler may know, all franchises are not created or maintained equally. We decided to stop in for lunch today during our road trip and were pleasantly surprised. Very clean restaurant and the buffet had a nice wide variety of selections. Our waitress was very attentive, as was the other waitress in our area. You pay as you walk in and then sit wherever you like. The waitress then brings your plates, cutlery and drink. The salad bar was very fresh and had plenty of choices. It included spring mix, spinach and iceberg lettuce and too many other toppings to mention. The hot bar had a wide variety of well seasoned vegetables, nicely seasoned baked fish, awesome whole corn hush puppies. I also enjoyed the barbecue (good sauce). If you want more trips to the buffet, the waitress will kindly bring you more plates. Very convenient to Highway 64. Come hungry and give it a try. read more

All these people must be crazy I've ate here over a 100 times never had a bad meal and the cheapest place in Searcy it's hard to eat at Mc D's for this much never heard anyone there complain. Lunch is less than 10 and dinner with buffet is around 15 I never put anything on the steak and I've ate at all the other places they are good but not as good and alot higher. read more
