Dr. Vranic truly saved my life. When I was just 16 years old, I was dealing with serious blood clots and spent much of my childhood in and out of hospitals. As someone who was very athletic, it was incredibly difficult and frightening. Dr. Vranic and his office performed multiple surgeries on me, and every time I was treated with exceptional skill, care, and compassion. Because of him, I was able to heal, move forward, and truly live again -- he gave me my life back. I am endlessly grateful for Dr. Vranic and his entire office. Everyone treated me with professionalism and genuine kindness. I especially want to thank his medical assistant, Stephanie, who went above and beyond to support me and my family. I'm an established patient. I'm surprised by the lack of professionalism of the front desk staff as well as that of their ultrasound technicians. It's like nobody is supervising the front desk, so the staff their are not friendly and they're cavalier. They don't like to answer the phone in a timely fashion, either. The technicians and providers are okay aside from strongly pushing a procedure that I don't need. The front office, however, is so unpleasant that I will be finding a different clinic. It was the noisiest waiting room I have ever been in, with the front office staff creating most of the noise. They were chatting trivial nonsense with each other or on the phone shouting patients' private information at the top of their voices the entire time I waited, which was more than one hour. At one point I was trying to ask one of them a question about paperwork and she ignored me because she was paying more attention to chitchat about energy drinks. When I was finally done, the check-out was delayed because of more office joking. It is ridiculous that they behave like this in front of an office full of patients. read more

Absolutely awful. I have been having problems with blood clots in both arms and severe pain in my right one because the hit an artery when I was hospitalized. The Western Vascular Institute is one of the worst offices I have ever been to. They could care less about your issues and the staff is miserable to deal with. The ultra sound tech too maybe 5 minutes to do both arms and didn't give a shit whether it was done right or not. Don't trust these individuals and what they tell you because they just don't care and that's a dangerous mindset for health care workers. read more

Jennifer Culbert was NP I saw as a new patient. In less than 5 m she was in and out the door after very quickly stating I needed 5 tests she rattled off so fast. I asked her to repeat them she seemed annoyed. This was after looking at my leg for 30 seconds. When I said "wow" When she started to leave without asking me if I had any questions or explaining what and why I needed these tests. When I started to ask what she was talking about she handed me a brochure and left. I can not believe I was treated this way. I most definitely do not recommend going to see her at this practice. read more

Dr. Krcelic is truly one of the best doctors I've ever seen--and thanks to him, I'm finally pain-free after struggling with severe leg pain for far too long. From the very first appointment, Dr. Krcelic took the time to listen carefully to my concerns. He didn't just dismiss my symptoms--he acted. After doing ultrasounds, he found that I had clogged arteries, something no one else had identified. He explained everything clearly and compassionately, which made me feel informed and reassured every step of the way. I have been seeing Dr Tarlian since 2014. I have come to find Dr Tarlian and his staff to be professional, knowledgeable and able to put patients at ease during difficult concerns and procedures. Appointments and concerns are quickly addressed. I can always rely on "Data Driven Summaries" and appropriate "Interventions" when called upon using their State of the Art Surgical Center with a dedicated, professional and very caring staff. Office staff is really bitchy. I witnessed rude and unprofessional treatment of patients. Poor communicators.

I've been once going again soon, however, the front office was helpful and considerate and the Dr was wonderful.

If you have a vascular problem, don't go there. There is nothing on their mind but money. The only good doctor they had was Dr. Paolini. They ran him off because he cared. Three failed procedures later, I'm convinced. Two of them by Dr. Vranic. Dr. Mitar Vraninic, IMHO, does not give one wit about the patient. All he does is scold and blame you. Then fails in his procedures. Bedside manner is non existent. He is right, you are wrong. End of story. He is god. read more

Dr. Tarlian is HORRIBLE AND INJURED ME ON PURPOSE and his Assistant "Cheyenne" was THE MOST unprofessional hateful, rude and disgruntled employee I have EVER encountered. Not only in all my years in the healthcare field myself, but also the years of getting treatment from various healthcare professionals. From Dentist's to Surgeon's to Chiropractors etc. I myself and the 2 nurses in the room that heard her condescending mouth to me were in shock at how she spoke. Looking at eachother with raised eyebrows while I laid on the slab. All before my vein procedure! Niiiice. How reassuring. With assumed poor conduct in the past, one of her co workers seemingly higher up, strongly urged me to report her to her superiors. When I asked why, she told me because she's been unprofessional to the hilt in the past, among other things and many people have complained about her already. I was thinking, why is she still here??? She didn't specify the incidents, but hinted while trying to stop my bleeding after the rush job at the end that Cheyenne performed . What happened was, at the end of my upper groin vascular procedure, SHE was in charge of applying pressure and dressing my incisions, a second of pressure for each incision and a crappy patch job! Wish it was one of the Nurses. I had to pat the tape down myself too and the gauze which weren't even making contact....Wow... After I left the room and walked 10 steps out of that room I knowingly and intentionally looked at my leg under my sweatpants, my leg was gushing blood as I KNEW it would. Oh, and as Cheyenne knew it would too.... Mission accomplished Cheyenne! How many others have you abused under your care??? Such a majestic and beautiful name you DON'T DESERVE. My family and the people in the waiting room were horrified as I bled all over, showing my family my hands covered in blood, trying to stop the bleeding, craziness. I was panicked with the large amountsof blood going all over includingthe floor. And you should have seen the faces on the elderly patients in the waiting room, watching all of this waiting to be next! Horrified expressions. Thankfully a GREAT person named Miracle quickly took me to another room, she applied CORRECT pressure to my incisions and dressed the area PROPERLY. She was a beacon of light compared to Cheyenne. As most people walking the earth are too in comparison. When I showed her how she pressured my incisions she nodded her head in disbelief. And more so when I told her how Cheyenne spoke to me. Definitely considering my options legally, she needs to get gone before she hurts anyone else! So many elderly patients go there too. A disgusting thought that someone like that is treating our senior's and Veteran's! A few older Vets in there. That I took personally as I have worked with Veterans for the past 10 years exclusively. By the way, the two nurses in room, Thalia and Fernanda were a pleasure and SUPER PROFESSIONAL. Miracle told me that those are "her girls". I can see why, they were great. Cheyenne, take a lesson from them regarding the proper treatment of patient's. You should go get a job at the Post Office, where your disgruntled ass belongs. Customer care isn't for you. Hell, customer service at a phone job isn't for you let's face it. You are a danger! Forget the crappy way you talk to the patient, that's sadly the least of it. You are disturbed. Disturbed by hurting people physically under your care because you're having a bad day or whatever your trip is. AND listen to this everybody. The kicker was hearing her complain to her coworkers in front of me while laying on the procedure table waiting for Dr. Tarlian. Complaining about how she hates that she can't wear her jewelry in the procedure/operating room. "I can't wear my watch! I can't wear my rings". On and on. Crazy. And how she does whatever she want's when certain bosses aren't there. God knows what else. It's called a sterile environment, educate yourself. Do your job right or NOT AT ALL...Karma is gonna get you good. Never saw such blight in a professional setting. Shocking. I had an angiogram August 1. Dr.Calarese was professional and explained the procedure thoroughly. Katie and Jessica were pre op and post op nurses. They were exceptional! The nurses in surgery were kind and reassuring. Dr.Calarese explained the findings of the procedure and answered all of my questions without rushing out the door. The entire experience was performed with excellence. I have never had a comfortable IV if that is possible, but Katie did it with such precision that I barely felt it. I have never had such a smooth medical experience. I was impressed with the kindness and caring from the doctor and staff that attended me . read more

Wish I could give zero stars. I should have known from the beginning this was a third-class joint. They do not take you or your medical concerns seriously. Tarlian is rude and obnoxious. I've done everything right, done everything they ask, and I am in so much pain. I was asked to wear compression socks for three months, then come back on Dec. 28 to check in and create a treatment plan. They just called and said because of Covid they are only seeing certain patients and I don't fit the criteria. I explained that I am in severe pain and that I will not accept a telephone appointment. They said I could absolutely find a new doctor. Best advice they ever gave me. read more

He's straight forward with explaining your treatment plan and very confident in his work. He DELIVERS every time! The PA Jenifer, surgical team, Ultrasound Techs and staff have all been extremely professional. One would think that professionalism would not warrant a mention, as it should be expected. Well, it's not the case anymore. The medical industry has literally gone to Hell in a hand basket. "There's no money in the Cure" . This is validated by many healthcare providers and their casual approach to your care and insurance Carriers,, literally tying a surgeons hands behind his back, preventing him from performing a procedure, that will eliminate pain and increase mobility, by labeling it as Cosmetic!. My son recently went to Dr. Tarlian for varicose vein relief. His veins are now worse than before (more of the) bulging and more painful. His staff was haphazard. They didn't properly sterilize the area of incision, nor shave the leg. They didn't put enough pressure on the incision and he started bleeding heavily before we even left the office. It's been two weeks and the veins are worse. Now we need to find a doctor to correct (hopefully) the damage done by them. I wouldn't recommend them to my worse enemy. The "nurse" Cheyenne was rude, nasty and inept. Today he is in the ER (again) with a blood clot in his leg. This doctor is a butcher.May karma roll his way soon. read more

Went in after a referral from my doctor for varicose veins. They were running behind so I was seen about an hour after my appointment time. Saw the doctor about 5 minutes and was told without any pain or swelling insurance wouldn't cover any procedures but, I can pay out of pocket. Doctor wasn't able to give me any cost for the procedure because he doesn't do them. Kind of frustrating to be offered a service with no idea of cost. It was suggested I set up an appointment and inquire about cost when they call. Just got the bill and I feel that is ridiculously high for getting my vitals checked, doc looking at my leg for 10 seconds and not really being able to give me any other information. The front desk staff was nice but I will definitely check out another place if possible next time. read more

I wish I could give zero stars. They did a procedure on my dad then sent home were he darn near bled out. He was taken to the hospital where he was in ICU for days but has never been the same since. He has since been moved to a rehab facility and is now in an assisted living because they think he has suffered brain damage and can not take care of himself at the current time. He is 90 years old and should have been monitored for at least a few hours before being sent home. The entire procedure was botched and the surgeon refuses to take ANY responsibility for his ineptness. Unlikely my dad will ever recover from this. read more

I have recently been seeing Dr. Tarlian and have had 4 vein ablations. The staff is great, from Ashley and Brittany at the desk, to all the procedural staff and Ultrasound techs. Dr. Tarlian does have a great bedside manner and sense of humor. He explains everything very well and I have never felt uncomfortable nor uninformed. The facility is clean and organized. I've never in my life ever experienced such nonsense in a doctors office. Over an hour & a half waiting to even get to a room with no explanation whatsoever. When you ask the front office staff they just giggle "sorry the doctor is behind" and go back to working on their computer. It's amazing how a doctors office can determine that their time is more valuable than anyone else's. This is just insane. This doctor better be worth his weight in gold because at this point I'd never refer him to someone else unless he's a miracle worker. read more

I have had issues with my left leg for most of my life. After having lymph nodes removed at ages 10 and 12 which has left me with chronic lymphodema and vascular deficiency. At the age of 60 and having tried everything I had resigned myself to the pain. Until I met Dr. Vranic and WVI. Not only do they work miracles. But, I have never been treated with such compassion and professionalism. From the smiling faces at the front desk, and short wait times. And from the techs who put you at ease, the wonderful surgical nurses, the Nurse Practitioners and even the billing department. And, Dr. Vranic is not only extremely talented but, has a great sense of humor. But, most importantly, he listens!! This review is solely based on appointments with Cynthia. I have never in my life felt like just a number at a doctors office but with her you feel that way. She literally is out the door just as soon as she walks in. I see her jump from room to room extremely quickly and almost trying to get the patient to hurry up and get out. I was so uncomfortable with her because at first I was being seen by Dr Vranic but was told he was only seeing new patients and focusing on surgery's. After seeing her the first time I was ready to find a new office to go to. She came in the room and basically everything that Dr Vranic told me she said the opposite which is very unsettling to me. Dr Vranic wanted me to get a CT scan and when I asked Cynthia to give me a referral she said I don't need a CT scan. There was several things that Cynthia said that Dr Vranic said the total opposite. I came back for a follow up and she was the only one available so I proceeded. After getting in the room she tells me I'm good and see you in couple years just that fast well after I left I followed up on patient portal to see what was said from her from our visit. There was information mixed of mine and of a different patient on my visit and which made me feel even more uneasy about going back, discussing things I had which wasn't me it was someone else's information. After all these issues I was done I refuse to be told by a physician assistant that what the dr who specializes in this is wrong of what he told me. I've been seeing Dr. Tarlian for the last year and I am beyond satisfied. His bed side manor is great and he seems to really care about his patients. There are plenty of doctors out there that just want to take your money and sweep you out the door but not Dr. Tarlian.
