Solid spot for good tasting donuts. Prices are in line with other places but costs have gone up for everything this year. Got a couple glazed, couple blueberry cake, one cruller and dozen glazed donut holes. Didn't plan on eating them all in one day. The glazed donuts are heavier than I expected- hoping for light and airy but the blueberry cake donut tasted great the first and second day. The glazed and cruller the second day had really lost their glaze- it had become soaked in and watery. The donut holes also didn't have the same taste the day after. If they had retained their freshness for the second day it would have been 5 stars... doesn't seem crazy to keep donuts for a second day and that's when I can see the quality of the product if it retains it flavor as intended. I can see us coming back but we wouldn't buy as much bc we know second day how they'd taste. Also the blueberry cake donut was significantly smaller than the glazed one. For a donut place its pretty good; not as good as my local Bosa Donuts in AZ and nowhere close to the greatness of Holtman's in Cincy. I had an apple fritter which was very good. Also had one of their warm ham contraptions; which was awful. Coffee was not very good either. Overall I would go back for donuts, but nothing else. Getting into the parking lot is a mess, unless its a convenient right turn into the lot. read more

So fluffy and soft! Must try donut spot in Renton. We stopped by on a Sunday morning, usually they run out quickly but we came when the case was still full. We've come multiple times, trying several of the different varieties they have. This time we got a glazed/sugar twist, 2 maple bars (1 w/ bacon--my favorite), PB&J bear claw?, glazed raspberry filled, chocolate glazed and Apple fritter. These donuts are so pillowy, like biting into a cloud. I swear I could eat a box of just glazed or plain sugar. I believe this is family owned, always friendly ladies boxing up my goodies. Inside is like a normal mom and pop shop. You can grab beverages like coffee, milks or sodas. They also have a few small tables if you'd like to eat inside as long as they aren't too busy. ALL of the donut shops (and I've been to many and in different cities) I've gone to don't have the same quality as they did in the 90s- too dry, too little glazing, unnecessary toppings, too small, or too big. The donuts from Westernco are so "old school" in taste and texture, they literally remind me of that timeframe and always bring forth the memory I have of my late grandfather as we tried donut holes for the first time. If you look at their reviews on various sites, you'll see that the donut shop has a pattern of not giving notice when they're closed during regular business hours. Unfortunately, this happened again. All of the lights were off and the sign only said closed with no explanation. This was on a weekday during the early morning. They have social media to post updates on. Solid spot to grab a donut, esp if you live in the area. We were sitting at the stoplight and the husband goes, "how bout we stop in?". Easy in and out parking situation. A few other storefronts there and a sushi/bento place. It's def your typical donut shop scenario in that the later in the day you go, the less choices there will be - however, we still had plenty of options. I like that they have plain/choco/maple for their glazed; and then you will find the typical frosting and sprinkles cake donuts - including Seahawks colors if that pleases you. Also very large apple fritters. The coffee is drop coffee and they are straightforward in making sure you are okay with that - so don't expect a fancy coffee; however to grab and go this is a perfectly good donut stop. read more

We came in for a quick bite. We left with a Bacon maple bar and a Ham cheese croissant. The Bacon Maple Bar was so good and had a lot of pleasing texture. This flavor combination is a classic, and the donut to back it up just made it even more delightful. The Ham & Cheese Jalapeño croissant is my new favorite-it was generously packed with ham, cheese and jalapeño and was very filling. Their flavors are spot on. We stopped by here on the way to Mt Rainier a few weekends ago. I have passed by this donut shop a handful of times and had never been until a few weeks ago, and now I wish I would have gone sooner! We picked up: - donut holes - bacon maple bar - chocolate donut - another donut I can't remember that Cody ate - cheese and ham croissants I loved the maple bar and donut holes! Comparing this location to the bellevue location, I think I like the bellevue location a little better in terms of pricing and convenience. However, they have one of the best crullers I ever had. It was so airy and light and fluffy, and it was fragile. Again, not sure what the hype is of the donut holes as they were typical here as well. Two of my friends said these were the best donuts they ever had. I really like that they are light and fluffy, not heavy. I often stop to get a dozen for the office. My co-worker, who considers herself to be an "apple fritter officianado" says these are the best apple fritters she's ever had in her life! I hate to leave bad reviews, but my experience with the donuts here was awful. It seemed like the donuts weren't strained properly because they were so greasy. The oil even went through the bag, which would be fine if the donut wasn't also full of oil. This excess oil also caused the glaze to be unable to hold to the donut properly. The variety and presentation of the donuts in their display case is very good. This is a solid place to pick up donuts, pastries and breakfast sandwiches. Service was friendly and the donuts tasted fresh! Especially liked that they had french cruellers and maple bacon bars. Today I finally walked into this donut shop after years of driving by. I gave in to my cravings and once i entered and saw all those beautiful, fresh donuts, I knew I made the right choice! They open from 4:00 am (dear gawd!) until 4:30 pm. The service is friendly and efficient. They are one of a FEW places that makes crullers!
