Solid spot for good tasting donuts. Prices are in line with other places but costs have gone up for everything this year. Got a couple glazed, couple blueberry cake, one cruller and dozen glazed donut holes. Didn't plan on eating them all in one day. The glazed donuts are heavier than I expected- hoping for light and airy but the blueberry cake donut tasted great the first and second day. The glazed and cruller the second day had really lost their glaze- it had become soaked in and watery. The donut holes also didn't have the same taste the day after. If they had retained their freshness for the second day it would have been 5 stars... doesn't seem crazy to keep donuts for a second day and that's when I can see the quality of the product if it retains it flavor as intended. I can see us coming back but we wouldn't buy as much bc we know second day how they'd taste. Also the blueberry cake donut was significantly smaller than the glazed one. Would be nice if they had uniform size.

It's 6:51am on Sunset Boulevard in Renton, and I'm actually starting the morning late compared to the dedicated crew of Westernco Donut. Owned and run by the family of Paula and Liam Has, Westernco was acquired after the retirement of its former long-time proprietors in 2020. Paula, Liam and other family members happily continue the tradition of being one of Renton's favorite donut shops, especially for local construction and Boeing workers, starting service at 4:00am! A refreshed decor reflects it's newer owners. And, your favorites are still here to include maple and chocolate bars, twists and old fashioned's. There are plenty of apple fritters and donut holes at the ready. Present are the ever popular maple bacon bars, and their peanut butter and jelly bear claws. All the tasty creations are freshly made in the back, and hard to keep on the shelves. I ordered my personal favorite - a strawberry crueller along with a chocolate bar, 8 ounce milk and a cup of Farmers Brothers Medium Roast - the perfect donut shop coffee! Don't let the busy intersections of Sunset Boulevard and Factory Place dissuade you from coming. Even at 7:00am, it is a busier place than its previous owners in 2023, which reflects the vibe of its younger owners and the growing Renton population hunkering for that honest pastry and coffee to start their morning. Be advised if you need that afternoon treat, they close at 4pm. Wake up early! Come on down and start that morning with one of the best donuts in Renton!

So fluffy and soft! Must try donut spot in Renton. We stopped by on a Sunday morning, usually they run out quickly but we came when the case was still full. We've come multiple times, trying several of the different varieties they have. This time we got a glazed/sugar twist, 2 maple bars (1 w/ bacon--my favorite), PB&J bear claw?, glazed raspberry filled, chocolate glazed and Apple fritter. These donuts are so pillowy, like biting into a cloud. I swear I could eat a box of just glazed or plain sugar. I believe this is family owned, always friendly ladies boxing up my goodies. Inside is like a normal mom and pop shop. You can grab beverages like coffee, milks or sodas. They also have a few small tables if you'd like to eat inside as long as they aren't too busy. Love this place and can't wait to get my next sweet tooth fix!

Solid spot to grab a donut, esp if you live in the area. We were sitting at the stoplight and the husband goes, "how bout we stop in?". Easy in and out parking situation. A few other storefronts there and a sushi/bento place. It's def your typical donut shop scenario in that the later in the day you go, the less choices there will be - however, we still had plenty of options. I like that they have plain/choco/maple for their glazed; and then you will find the typical frosting and sprinkles cake donuts - including Seahawks colors if that pleases you. Also very large apple fritters. The coffee is drop coffee and they are straightforward in making sure you are okay with that - so don't expect a fancy coffee; however to grab and go this is a perfectly good donut stop.

We came in for a quick bite. We left with a Bacon maple bar and a Ham cheese croissant. The Bacon Maple Bar was so good and had a lot of pleasing texture. This flavor combination is a classic, and the donut to back it up just made it even more delightful. The Ham & Cheese Jalapeño croissant is my new favorite-it was generously packed with ham, cheese and jalapeño and was very filling. Their flavors are spot on. I don't normally like donuts and I'm loving this place! They have got plenty of range for their flavors and they are easy to get to. We will be back!

Heavy ham and cheese croissant and some old-school donuts

Authentic American donuts! I'll , stop by here again! And... ham and cheese croissant Maple and glaze. What more can you ask for?

Craving donuts this morning. I wanted to go to my regular donut stop but they're closed and ended up coming here.

Craving donuts this early morning. I wanted to go to my regular donut stop but they're closed on Sunday and ended up coming here at 5:30am. Super clean place and friendly ladies. I picked bacon maple bar, chocolate donut filled with custard cream and filled with apple one. All of so~soft, fresh & flaky donuts. Its melted in my mouth. Yummy Now I have new regular donut stop. Pleasantly surprised with this old school donut shop.

They release weekly flavors and have yet to put out a flavor I didn't love. Though, don't sleep on their other baked goods or drinks either. If you wanted to enjoy your donuts right away, they have a really cute outdoor seating area as well. The line is no joke though. They're only open Thursday-Sunday until sold out, which they do every day. Make sure you check their Instagram to stay updated on the line status and whether you're still able to join it or not. Their line is especially long when they have savory flavors. On these days, I'd recommend going before opening and waiting rather than coming after. Sometimes it's already too late by then. The staff are all amazing and do their best to serve you as quickly as possible, but it will still require quite a bit of waiting. Highly recommend Flour Box if you want to but come early and be prepared to wait.

I find it fantastic that they're POC and woman-owned, but they have absolutely no accommodations for the largest minority in the world. I emailed them directly, asking them if there are any accommodations for us; as disabled people can't wait in lines for various reasons. I've never had a business tell me "no", but this establishment's response was very close to it: "we're doing what works best for us right now" is what the email said. Not, "Oh yes, how can we help you?" I attempted to wait in the line and even got the donuts, but the cost was having a mental breakdown when I got to my car. I should not have to put myself through physical and mental torture because a business refuses to accommodate my disability, yet alone acknowledge they have a problem. They even recommended that an ABLE-BODIED person get the donuts for me. This is considered ableist, whether they realize it or not, and it felt like a direct slap in the face. This is telling me that they don't care about accommodating disabled people, and that tells me all I need to know about an establishment. This was three years ago. They still haven't changed.

Sometimes the chocolate icing leaves a strange aftertaste. Occasionally there isn't enough vegan Bavarian cream, sometimes I'm swimming in cream. If you get one that is just right, it's hard to taste the difference. But is that enough? The service is solid, but the line can wrap around the sidewalk some weekends. The flow of ordering a donut, to ordering a drink, to receiving your donut needs an engineers opinion. It's generally pretty tight inside, and can be a little dirty on the weekend. A premium product with slightly above average taste.
