We didn't get to spend as much time as we wanted to here... we only stayed one night and wish it was longer. In general, they are in a pretty good location with access to the beach via a maintained path from the resort. The motif is island style so pretty neat with tiki torches around the resort. The rooms were pretty good... we were in a two-bedroom. There are some dated furniture and appliances, e.g. dishwasher. However, it is still a comfortable stay. I would recommend not staying in one of the rooms facing the main road. If you are there primarily for the beach, try to stay in the units closes to the beach. They do have a lazy river in the quad, which is pretty cool. I did like the staff. I thought they were pretty friendly. There are a couple of shops and restaurants near them that you can walk to. read more

The facility is not very big in lot size, however, the fact that it has a lazy river, beverage/cocktail bar, swimming pools with hot tub jacuzzi, and a water playground right in the middle of this two stories resort building is something really unique and special. I love the fact it also has plenty of washers and dryers on both sides of the building, with detergent and dryer sheets provided! The staff was so nice during our check-in session and they're so client centric, it made me feel so comfortable and relaxed! Their suites are fabulous and all the amenities are amazing! Beds are super comfortable and pillows are so fluffy. You can walk to the beach within a few minutes too! read more

I've been a Westgate owner since 2015 and a platinum owner as well. I'm not happy with the way the sales part has went the 2 years with the owner update. Me and my wife had told the sales person multiple times no we don't want to change anything. After being there for 2 hours we had enough and got up and walked out. When you are trying to be sold something and you keep saying no but they will not take no for an answer then there is a problem. I have posted a comment two different times today on the Westgate cocoa beach facebook page and they took both of them down. I also said in the last if they want to work this matter out like a professional company they know how to get ahold of me since I'm on site. They have never reach out to me! read more

I went online and looked for the best value as well as a place where my friend and I could perhaps watch the lift off of the Artemis. Checking in went smoothly. We were here for a week. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite with a full kitchen. The pool was right outside our door and the staff were so nice and pleasant. We were able to go on several fun side trips as well as Cape Canaveral. Unfortunately, the Artemis wasn't able to lift off but it was a great day to see a lots of Cape Canaveral. There seems to be a place that I could visit a few times and not be boring. I'll definitely be going back. The weather was great and people are welcoming. read more

This is the worst resort that I've been to. The room furnitures are old and dirty and the room smells of mold . The dishwasher is missing the bottom rack and the cleaner didn't notice . I must admit that I was deceived by the pictures posted on the web . As soon as I walked through the hallway to my room, I knew that it was a mistake booking at this resort. Went here with a friend. I didn't see the first room, but he did and paid for an upgrade. The upgraded room was on the second floor, and very nice. HOWEVER smelled very badly of MOLD. So minus 2 points. Staff is very nice. It's close to the beach. Pool/hot tub/lazy river are older, but good. It's great that they have all different size lifejackets for the kids. Looks like they are still updating the resort. They have a tiki bar with a good happy hour. Restaurants and stores are very close. If it was not for the mold, I'd come back. read more

Overall I'd only suggest staying here if you have young children, otherwise it feels/looks a bit more like a motel than a hotel. We recently visited here with my inlaws for a long weekend. At check-in they do pressure hard for you to go to the timeshare presentation. They also informed us that there is no daily housekeeping. The room itself was clean and I was happy that we were on the second floor. I feel like the first floor would be super loud. My son loved the splash pad, lazy river, and pool area. We were there in February and some days were colder than others, all the outdoor water heaters were broken until our last day. Without the heaters the water was FREEZING. Our last day though, with the heater working for the lazy river was great. I did like the adult relaxation zone with the evening firepit. The employees at the pool area were all friendly (Anthony was great) and they set up some fun kids activities. But for the majority of the kids activities you have to pay extra, it's not included in your stay. The beach is right across the street. We were there during the off season so the walk was super easy and it did still feel super accessible. Since it must have been a flow time for them, parking was not an issue at all either. We easily found a parking spot after each trip off the property. read more

This place should honestly be called Westgate (Nickel & Dime), because that's exactly how it feels staying here. They advertise luxury, but what you get is a cut-up, bare-minimum experience. They've taken what was clearly an old motel and carved it into "two-bedroom" units. The bedrooms are tiny, the showers are cramped, and the water takes nearly five minutes just to get warm. They even advertised having a gym -- but there is no gym. From what I learned, they ripped it out and squeezed in yet another tiny two-bedroom unit to maximize bookings while minimizing the guest experience. The service matches the setup: bare minimum. One night I asked for a lighter to use with the grill. A staff member came, lit it once, then left with the lighter. When the flame blew out, I asked again and got nothing but a blank stare. I ended up waiting around until I finally tracked down a different staffer. Another time I asked about my lost glasses. Instead of asking what they looked like or checking thoroughly, the employee gave me a flat "no" and sent a lazy text. It was obvious nobody cared to even try. Between the cramped rooms, missing amenities, slow water, and indifferent staff, this resort is a master class in nickel-and-diming. They've stripped away comfort and effort at every turn. Save yourself the disappointment and book anywhere else. read more

My in-laws have been owners at Westgate Lakes in Orlando since 1998. My wife and I have visited various Westgate properties throughout Florida as their guests in that time. While we have always enjoyed our stays, on this occasion we were really surprised at how poorly we were treated. We exercised our option as relatives of owners to purchase a week here and stay in an adjacent room at a discounted rate. That purchase was a little over $2k and the property is about an hour from our home in Lake Mary. We arrived on the early side since my father-in-law had done pre-check-in and we assumed it would be a fairly painless process. Instead, our room wasn't available until about 5:30. So we ended up sitting around and lost most of our first day at the resort.. While we were waiting, my teenage son arrived and i helped him to get parked in the extremely limited and tight parking. I was accutely aware of the condition of his car, having guided him into the space. About an hour later, he went back to his car and found it had been side-swiped. There was white paint transfer, so I went about looking at white cars in the lot to see if I could find the culprit. However, after checking all the white cars in the lot, it was apparent that whomever hit the car had left. We were hoping that Westgate would show us the camera view so that we could identify the responsible party. However, rather than accommodate us, they instead insisted that the car had arrived with the damage already present. When I saw that footage, it was clear that they misunderstood the concern - their entry footage only showed some sun glare off the door handle which they insisted was the damage (it absolutely and very obviously is not). I wasn't asking them to assume liability for it - merely hoping that they would help identify the person who caused it. They refused and insisted we submit a police report to compel them to share the footage. The next day, we sat through their sales presentation, but when asked what we thought of our stay, we brought up these customer service failures. Rather than attempting to remedy or compensate in any way, we were in essence accused of taking up their presentation time complaining about their poor service. This is laughable as service and courtesy is obviously a huge part of the customer experience... and failures are obviously a deterrent to selling your product. The idea of having a beach resort available to us, even as locals, was actually pretty appealing. But frankly, though we would be inclined to exercise some of the options presented to us, I would not give them my business as a matter of principle. Furthermore, Westgate in general will never see another dime from me. The damage to my son's car is easily repairable. I can buy the door handle pre-painted for $58. I can likely buff out the paint transfer as well. Though I wasn't looking for monetary compensation, they lost tens of thousands in business over what is in essence less than $200 in damage. Nothing like being penny wise and pound foolish! Between my wife and I, we do pretty well. In fact, we are probably a company like Westgate's dream customer. But I'm also very disciplined in how I spend money - and if it were the last beach resort to exist and I could buy in for pocket change, I wouldn't spend here on principle alone. And so dear reader, if you've stuck with me for this long and you're wondering if this is a good bet for a timeshare, please know that this company could give a shit about your patronage. There are better options to out there. Also, in the odd event you choose to stay here, please know that you will receive no actual help if another guest damages your vehicle park with extreme caution. read more

Be prepared for small bedrooms, leaky showers, mold and an uneasy feeling the entire time. First interaction with staff was security getting in a fight with our shuttle driver as we were settling the bill. He was yelled at to move the van immediately. Made it a very awkward welcome to the property. Check-in was typical until you move to the other desk where you get hit with the timeshare pitch. It's quick and painless but a sales pitch nonetheless. We avoided the full timeshare lunch and were only pressured to attend once. Keep in mind check-out is 10. They get very pushy with that. You will not get an extension. Entering the room we were greeted with a heavy chemical smell that lingered the entire stay. It impregnated our clothes and suitcases which are still sitting outside airing out a week later. Also found several patches of mold. Management said a deep clean would be done next day. It wasn't. Ever. Rooms are sufficient and have nice living room/kitchen areas. Full kitchen with appliances and dishes/cookware. Beds were comfortable but small space around beds. No floor space to put a suitcase at all. Showers leak like crazy and will flood the entire bathroom. This happened in both the rooms we had. No daily housekeeping so keep in mind towel usage and taking out your own trash. Walls are paper thin and being on first floor we heard everything happening in the room above us. Every. Single. Step. Beach access is nice with hose to wash off and a rental shed right there for chairs, umbrellas and body boards. They pack up at 4:30 sharp so get to the beach early to reserve your spot. It is a fair walk to get to the beach. There is a small food truck with basic snacks and beach accessories. Convenience prices to match. Surrounding area is nice with shopping close by and variety of food. Recommend Branos Italian and Big Daddy J's. Overall, we won't be back. For the price paid per night I expected more. Staff wasn't pleasant. We felt like outsiders. Amenities are just ok. Can definitely tell the "resort" is a renovated motel from the 70's. read more

We came here for Thanksgiving. Right on the beach, almost. You can walk out to it and everything you need is right around the corner here. We were on the lower floor because of our support dog. So , we were able to fence him in and he can watch out and not get bored. Pool and pool area was clean. Had a few too many at the Tiki Bar. The walkways are a little thin to get through with luggage and passing anyone. Staff was extremely nice and we had a great time. Loved the pool and that all was close enough to walk to. First these rooms as so small ! This is not a resort .. it's a renovated motel - no security except the electric gate - The pool has a yellow tint to it daily . No In unit washer/dyer- if you're going to use the pull out couch - check it first ! Chances are the sheets haven't been changed ! No ice machines - Rooms have no views - the windows are almost boarded up in the bedrooms - pocket doors in bedroom to the bathroom are impossible to open . I get you come here for the beach .. be prepared to have to walk a good distance with all your stuff and kids to get there . The water park is not a water park - a pool that is gated off and separate from the splash pad which is also gated and separate from the lazy river . Walls are paper thin . The beach store is bare minimum as well and that's being generous. Glad we're not owners here ! read more

Pros: great location, surrounded by everything(restaurants, shops, dinosaur museum, key lime pie company, Ron Jon's shop, Winn Dixie, Cvs, beach stores, all in walking distance or if you drive.. 5 mins) it's a block from the beach with beach concierge for those who need to rent umbrella and chairs..And there are beach activity also that the resort provides (sand castle building sets for kids, soccer balls, footballs, volleyball, beach pong, corn hole. We had a great time, I was expecting much from others review and was pleasantly surprise, the entire place was fully renovated with 5 water areas.. splash areas for kids with slides and run through splash, a lazy river with 2 different size tubes, a regular pool, a small kiddie pool and a hot tub. We love our 2 bedroom place, cute kitchen, love the decor and the bathrooms. Towels service was through a self serving machine vi your room key. Daily activities for kids: necklace/bracelet making, pinwheel paint and put together kit, wood cars/top painting, stained glass ornament, etc.. lots of kids which we loved!! They have bikes too but for adults, not toddler and no seat to put toddler (so that's a bit of a con) They do have bbq grills- we didn't use it but see folks using them daily and they do have a tiki bar on site by kiddie pool Cons: there are only 2 stories and no elevator so if you are on second floor be prepared to carry all the things you brought with you! Kitchen knives are serrated so not at all sharp, we asked for another and same.. so bring your own if you are driving over locally to here.. read more

Without question the worst of the more than nine Wescates that we have stayed in. The condos are very small and unlike every other Westgate, there is no washer and dryer in the unit. Virtually no insulation between units so if you stay on the ground floor, you can hear everything going on in the units above. The ONLY bright spot was the staff, they did their best to try and make our stay somewhat enjoyable. read more

This location is perfect! Minutes to walk to the beach. The staff was helpful for the most part. There was a timeshare salesman that was very pushy, after saying no thank you 3times you can tell he was upset and after his 6th try he definitely needed some anger management. The other staff members were nice, friendly, and helpful. They have delicious drinks and activities throughout the day. The only downfall other than the pushy salesman is the other Westgate Resorts we have stayed at have in-unit washers and dryers and jacuzzi tubs. read more

The room was clean and nice. The beach was close. The beach chairs were at additional cost but should have been complimentary. We just bought a couple chairs at Walmart and donated them when we left. The adult relaxation zone had a nice Propane fire pit and chairs. If you're in to the pool attractions they would be great for children. Some good restaurants and mini golf within walking distance. The BIGGEST PROBLEM IS THAT THE WALLS ARE PAPER THIN!!! You will hear everything your neighbors do or say. read more

I attended a Home & garden expo event in my hometown (Melbourne) . And a really nice lady approached me and asked me if I would do a raffle and so I gladly and excitingly wanted to do the raffle to win a prize. all I had to do was fill out a form then spin a wheel of fortune in order to win a prize. Lucky me, I won $120 gift card and a cruise line tickets for two people. of course, something like that has a catch, right! I had to listen to a 90 minute sales pitch on timeshare for an overpriced hotel that I can get for half the price of a grand Hilton vacation club in which my parents are owners and members of so in contrast, what a rip off!!! They turned me down because I personally didn't not make enough money for their high price crap, Should they have checked that before they had dragged me all the over there to their hotel to tell me that face-to-face, that I didn't make enough money to join "their club" how rude and inconsiderate and insensitive of them!! This hotel looks amazing at first glance. The rooms are clean looking and up to date. They have amazing heated lazy river, splash pad and pool. However-the rest is awful. The rooms have paper thin walls so you hear everything g beside your room and above your room as well as the outside noise of the pool and pool music. It is not a quite resort. Day two house keeping walked in on us getting out of the shower. Insisted on getting our towels and trash and said she would bring back fresh towels. We had to end up calling for them at 10:00 that night. Day 3 we went to dinner and came back to our door wide open. Again, housekeeping. They came to our room apparently while we were out and left the door open. Lucky for us nothing was missing. We called The front desk and they could care less. read more

TIMESHARE Yikes! We were offered a tour when visiting the Cocoa Beach Pier - We accepted! Hubby was reluctant because it felt a little like one of those timeshare types. I was actually pretty interested because the day before I was looking up pricing to stay the weekend as a staycation (we're locals) but wasn't ready to pay $435/night since we live only about 40 minutes away. I was really going to find out if they have day passes & to enjoy a cocktail by their lazy river. Sure enough, when we got to the resort they wanted our personal information - occupation AND income amount or they would refuse the tour. Welp, we refused to provide that info so we never got a tour of the property. The lady at the office was pretty short with us & the general manager was very professional. My husband looked up the Westgate reputation online & was so turned off by it that we couldn't get out of there quickly enough. There was a bus that showed up quickly & brought us back to the pier to enjoy our day. read more

when we got to this resort we saw the property was smaller than other ones. my expectations were low but they completely changed. the rooms are very spacious and clean. all of the staff were so friendly and nice. the pool was very clean and i see the staff cleaning it every day which is nice. in building 7 you are very close to the beach and i would definitely recommend that one because the view is so nice. parking here is not that great, the spots are really small. their food is great and so are the drinks. i am definitely coming back here soon! read more

I love how this hotel or resort is so relaxing and comfortable. It has multiple pools, is very family/child friendly, and is a very large but understandable complex. I would definitely recommend this resort and I personally would stay here again, especially for the tiki bar, which had amazing food and drinks, and the alcoholic beverages were also very delicious (I'm not a SERIOUS drinker but I am a fan of fruity alcoholic beverages). read more

We were scheduled to check in for our beach time after Disney. Upon arrival the elderly lady at the desk was extremely friendly and welcomed us. The gentleman with vision difficulty (his words, not mine) was less so. He told me that hotels.com gave us a lesser rate than what they wanted to charge and therefore our hotel reservation was never confirmed. He stated I could pay an additional $1300 and that our three night hotel stay could be accommodated then. I spent 3hrs on the phone with hotels.com while they "negotiated" with this hotel trying to get the rate I'd already paid in full at booking. We finally were able to get a suite down the road at a different hotel for the same price I had previously paid. Also, this resort is NOT "on the beach" as advertised. It is about a block away. I wouldn't waste your time or give this company any money if this is how they treat people. read more

VERY DIRTY If I could give this zero stars I would. First, they messed up our reservation. We called back in July 2019 to make our reservation for October. They somehow booked it for August. Thank goodness they had a room available. Then immediately upon entering, we notice a live, yet what appeared to be poisoned, cockroach on the night stand. I contact the front desk and they say they will send someone up. 30 minutes later a maintenance man cones to remove it and put down some sort of chemical around the base boards. Nothing further, not an offer to switch rooms. The photos of this place are definitely misleading as it is basically a refurbished Motel. We immediately were offered to attend a breakfast for a time share when all we wanted to was enjoy a vacation. I do recommend this place at all! read more

I came here with my in laws and needless to say was that from the outside it has a very old appearance. Has the same feel as a old beach motel to me. However once you step in your room it's completely different. Fully renovated rooms with full kitchens comfortable sofa beds and clean bed rooms made it all better. The appearance once you stepped out was too nice I do give it 3 stars, also the drinks and food were not all that, had to leave the hotel for dinner every night. read more
