While the original hire of our nanny went ok, the service after that point was non existent. They are great for nannies and do provide them with important information and support....however....they don't provide the same to families at all. Don't let them fool you, they are one-sided (which is their right), but I wouldn't recommend them in any way at all to a family looking for an agency to support them. There is very little value here, except for themselves. We had our nanny for more than 2 years, but the agency works behind the backs of families. Also...completely patronizing and uncaring when we questioned their poor service. I would drive 5 hours every day to have my family watch our kids before ever using them again. UPDATE: Completely validating my review, Westside Nannies decided to post personal details in their response...which of course are mostly inaccurate. Completely lying in fact about our move....we never lived in the valley and never had a conversation with the nanny about a move...that didn't even take place! Complete lies in their response. As I mentioned in my original comment, no need for any help from these people. It wasn't hard to move on at all and actually we have much better service now that we have left this agency. Also, I fired a nanny because she was dishonest and unreliable.. They placed her with another family without first soliciting my feedback.. Before anyone can take interest in any of the WN positions, every applicant has to interview with them in order to be accepted and placed on their roster. I decided send my resume in July 2013. My husband had just been diagnosed with Stage IV cancer. We lived in Venice and he was being treated at Cedar Sinai, an hour thirty minute round trip we made almost every day. I needed a nanny who could manage my three children and all the visitors who would pop by with meals etc., plus be ok with being around a father with cancer. She was engaging, extremely helpful and kind. After my husband died, she made the movie montage that we showed at the memorial service. I no longer need a nanny as my kids are grown but if I did, I would not hesitate for a moment to use Katie's services.
