Loved my nicely charred vegetable burger patty from the lunch opetions that came with an option of fries or arugula and pickled onions salad. As someone who's worked in the service industry, I know it can be a tough day -- but it's always a little sad when the tone is set before you even sit down. The tall host told us there were no outdoor tables and strongly steered us toward an indoor one. When we came back to ask how long the wait might be for outside, they seemed visibly irritated and said about 30 minutes, almost like they hoped we wouldn't bother. What a fantastic experience eating here is! It is a cozy restaurant with a beautiful outdoor seating area. The staff was friendly, attentive, and accommodating. We went for brunch and the food did not disappoint. All of their menu options are great and they have a surprising variety of drink options too. We had an assortment of items off of the menu, a bowl, platter, and eggs Benedict with iced coffee, tea, and beer. All of it was delicious! We had a reservation, but at 10:45 it wasn't too crowded so we might not have needed it. But it did pick up as we ate, which isn't surprising for a Saturday. Good lighter fare option in DUMBO! We had a heavy lunch and still felt it so wanted something light and somewhat healthy. We got market plate (brussel sprouts, butternut squash, tofu, and beets) plus hot dog combo with zucchini. Hot dogs were juicy with the free raw onion sauerkraut and relish add on but the zucchini was somewhat bland. The market plate was similar; expected more savory or sweet with the options but I think it just needed some salt and pepper. Otherwise the plate was refreshing with good contrasting textures. Market vegetable; Asparagus with parmesan (10/10 this was the best side), Kale with spinach, shallots, and pumpkin seeds (6/10), Green peas with bacon and caramelized onions (8/10 my friend throughly enjoyed it), Roasted sweet potato with sour cream and scallion (8/10), Roasted mushroom with leek and fresh herbs (5/10 I LOVE mushroom so i was really looking forward to some mushroom but my friend and I couldn't get passed this taste that we couldn't tell from guessing the leek so not for us) and lastly Roasted rainbow carrots with fresh herbs (7/10 just carrots). This restaurant offers very diversified fast food, with a lot of different vegetables from the market, which was very appreciated by my girlfriend because she is vegetarian. The quality of the dishes was really good, and the service was very fast as we waited only 10 minutes after ordering our dishes. This place gets top marks for the way they've organized things during COVID-19. Arrows on the ground to denote one way foot traffic routes, QR codes for the menu, temperature checks, waiters wear disposable gloves when serving food, outdoor seating is spacious with cozy heaters. Severs are always super nice. However, the food here has always been hit or miss with me (even before pandemic times). The ingredients always taste super fresh but seasoning (at least for the vegan/vegetarian items) is always off. Most recently, I got the California Benedict ($15). The avocado was perfectly ripe, hashbrowns were satisfyingly crispy, eggs were poached just right but it was all so bland, there was no flavor or seasoning not even saltiness. On the other hand, the salad that came with it had too much dressing on it (too sour). On top of that, the broccoli with tofu seasonal market vegetable side dish we got was really flavorful but overly salty. Previously I've gotten the brussel sprouts (disappointingly mushy), seared marinated tofu (comes in giant slices where the outside with the sauce is tasty - maybe even too salty, but the marinade doesn't penetrate to the inside and it is too bland), and the quinoa artichoke burger (I would skip this - it's not flavorful at all). read more

Like, honestly, a couple of times a week : O It's just such a solid go to for anything from a healthy salad to a burger (veggie or meat) or even a full chicken or steak dinner.
