I always want to like Wetzel's Pretzels, but I never quite do. Their soda unfortunately comes from a soda stream they have to hand feed with concentrate. They would do much better with an actual machine like they have in an airport lounge because the flavor of the drink was quite honestly not great. The service was friendly, but harried and rushed. There's not enough room to have more than three people deep in line just because of the fact that it is a walk up box, so it feels very much like fast food. I'd love to see something here like a kettle corn popcorn shop or a lemonade stand with corn dogs because Wetzel's Pretzels just doesn't have the quality you would generally associate with Broadway Plaza. All in all, I don't know that I'll ever go back as I very rarely need an incredibly watered down cola. read more

Wetzels is a chain pretzel shop in the middle of broadway plaza. The service is very quick and friendly. We got our cinnamon bites pretzel bag in less than 2 minutes. Never had their dog bites or frozen lemonade, so let's get those, eh?! Hubbers also wanted the pretzel with pepperoni toppings. There was a bit of a line, so they're clearly popular. While in line, I noticed they were showcasing a mango-lemonade drink, so I changed my mind about the frozen lemonade and planned to get that instead. When my turn came, I told the cashier exactly what Hubbers wanted. Then what I wanted. "Sorry, no dog bites right now..." followed by "the mango-lemonade isn't ready." So I went back to my original plan of frozen lemonade and got the pizza bites instead (since it was good and ready to go, but "sorry... frozen lemonade not ready either..." Man, I was 0 for 3! Last Wednesday was National Pretzel Day and Wetzel Pretzel did not disappointed! There was a short line outside of their store kiosk but it moved fast. I walked up with my dog and was on my way with my fresh and hot pretzel in minutes. The pretzels were stacked high which aided in the quickness. Sadly I didn't scan my account when I order so I did not receive my points for my additional purchase. :( However, Idk if it was because the pretzel was free but it was by far the best pretzel I have had in a really long time. I appreciate that the cheese sauce is real cheddar cheese. It was a little pricey but when I realized it was the real deal I did not mind. I will be back. I see a lot of bad reviews and don't know why? Whenever I go to Broadway plaza i make sure to stop by here. Sometimes the line is long and if it is i dont mind it. All of the pretzels are really tasty and its fun to see the employes in the procces of making the pretzels through the clear window. I also enjoy the lemonade, its sour and fresh. The workers are nice, and there is a lot of seating nearby but if it is full you can still hold the bag of pretzels and walk around. The decoration of the place is neat and i like that its small. I was roaming around Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek and came across this brand spanking new Wetzel's Pretzels! I usually go to the location in the Sun Valley Mall, but I was excited to see one here! I hate having to walk through the mall and wait in the long times at the Sun Valley center, so this new Walnut Creek location is super convenient! It's located directly across from Victoria's Secret. Who decided to put it right there? Whoever it was is a strategic genius because after trying on a million things at Vicky's, I'll be sure to work up a craving for a pretzel EVERY time! This location is a small kiosk located right in the middle of the walkway. It's a little different because the ladies are completely enclosed behind the glass. I love their pretzel dogs and pizza pretzels, but I decided to grab the sinful cinnamon pretzel this time around since my sweet tooth was throbbing. The ladies at the counter were cordial and quick. I come to this particular Wetzel's location almost every day. My work is right by it, and with the amount of time I have to get lunch in, this is my default eatery of choice. The staff there is very nice, quick, and constantly making new pretzels. I like the window where I can watch as they make it fresh (I still have no idea how they manage to make those things so fast). The pepperoni pretzel is a staple, as are the cinnamon bitz. Prices aren't too bad either! Only problem is when there's a line, it takes a bit to get your food, but that's my only complaint! Went there today to get a snack because I was craving pretzel bites. Well I went and ordered salted pretzel bites with a Pepsi and cheese dipping sauce. Well the girl before she handed me my drink said she wasn't sure if she gave me Pepsi or Diet Pepsi and asked me to taste it. I told her if she could just dump it and give me what I originally asked for. She gets me regular Pepsi and hands me the cup to find no ice. I tell her to please give me some ice. After that issue she gives me my pretzel bites and I pay and leave. Not until I get home did I realize that the cup was dripping dye (at this point I didn't want to drink it because idk if there would be dye in my drink) and the pretzels have zero salt on them. I'm not personally the biggest fan of Wetzel's, but my son wanted to stop here while we were shopping at Broadway Plaza over the weekend. It was hot outside and my son was super hungry. So he begged me for a salty pretzel and a lemonade. I proceeded to get him his pretzel. I do have to say that the workers inside this facility were working their tail feathers off. This place sucks. Twice ive had to wait 15 min for pretzel bites. Another time i used gift certs ($4)to partially pay and paid the rest with my credit card. Took 10 minutes to confirm the gift certs were legit and proceeded to charge my cc the whole amount anyway. Then took them another 10 min to play with the register and refunded me $3 something.. not even the $4 they overcharged me. Bunch of idiots running the show.
