This is my first time trying Wetzel pretzels and it was quite a disappointment. The smell of the food initially got me to try this out while I was shopping jn the mall. I ordered a salted pretzel which I got my order very quickly. When taking the first bite the Wetzel Pretzel was only lukewarm and did not taste fresh at all. In addition it tasted too doughy. With the price tag that comes with it I am even more disappointed. My critique for this place would be reheating the Wetzel pretzel for your customers especially when the bread is just sitting out there for hours to ensure that all customers get a fresh bite. read more

This Wetzel's Pretzels is located on the first floor of the Concord Sunvalley Mall and there's always a long line, now a socially distanced line where you can smell the aromas of the pretzels. They had an advertisement for their mini cheese dogs but they didn't have them ready unfortunately. The workers are always making more pretzels but sometimes the pretzels are a little bit hard but for the most part fresh. Always a nice pick me up while shopping. I personally like their pepperoni and jalapeño pizza pretzel with some nacho cheese. I feel like their flavored pretzels are better than the plain ones. read more

I was thrilled to come to the mall and indulge myself with a pretzel. Especially at the top of the afternoon, I was expecting a fresh hot pretzel in anticipation of the lunch rush. Boy was I wrong! The worst $15 I've ever spent. I got the jalapeño cheese pretzel and it was the only one in the box. I asked if any fresh ones were coming out and the employee said "no". I stopped by this kiosk in the early evening as I was leaving the mall on 05/13/14 after shopping at Vans. The girl who was working was on her cell phone the entire time she was helping me. She was able to use both of her hands since she was using her shoulder to press her phone to her ear. The only time she said anything to me was to tell me my total. The rest of the time she just raised her eyebrows to communicate with me. Since the display was totally lacking, I settled on ordering the only two Jalapeño covered Wetzel Dogs and ordered two Jalapeño Cheese Sauce Cups. The staff are doing some shady business. They said they were only accepting cash at the time and wouldn't show the menu on the screen so I couldn't see how much the prices were. I only ordered a regular size lemonade and told me it costs $5. That's too pricy for a regular size drink. I could've gone somewhere else to get a drink for cheaper price but I was too thirsty and just bought it. I asked why they're only accepting cash, and they never answered my question. Sometimes I am torn between this place and their rival pretzel shop. Now I stop by here on multiple occasions either by myself or with my family. If it's my family, we get the bitz with just salt. We get cream cheese. We get a soda. If I am by myself, I get the cinnamon bites or the Wetzel dog with cream cheese. I have never encountered a rude person here. They always have taken my order correctly and always give me a smile. I recommend coming here early to get the freshly made ones. Nothing taste better than a freshly made pretzel. so I needed a bite to eat when I was in the Sun Valley Mall and I decided to stop at the kiosk and I got a bagel dog. It was hard in some spots and overall not that good. the one good thing about the dog was that it was actually hot and the whole thing was hot not just parts of it. I do like their original pretzels. The one I tried was crispy. I think crispy is pretty good, but sometimes crispy isn't the best. It really depends on how that particular batch of pretzels is cooked. I recently tried a cinnamon pretzel and it was pretty good. Last week I bought hot dog bites here and I observed some pretty bad sanitary conditions. The floor was filthy, the employees were using gloves to take out the garbage but did not change them when they went back to making food, but the biggest thing was that one girl was sucking on a sucker as she made food and another one was popping food into her mouth as she packed things up into cup and bags to put in the display. Purchased the dog bites from this location, first off the hot dogs were a brownish color not the normal fresh looking color hot dogs usually look like. I didn't pay much mind to it, then I started eating it they were hard and didn't taste fresh, seemed like it was a day or two old and they just warmed it up and sold them.
