    Vietnamese coffee stout
    Khuong N.

Went here to watch the game last night and even though the game was bad the brewery was wonderful. Ordered the Vietnamese coffee stout and it had strong coffee notes but was not as bitter and went down smooth. Saw people come in with outside food. Workers were nice and friendly. Plenty of seating inside and out. They have 3 TVs 2 inside and 1 outside. Pet friendly.

Nice outside. Nice beers. Easy to bring baby. Only downside was horrible parking. Overall good tho.

Conveniently located at The Orchards, I stopped by here on a weekday around 1pm. Nice cold beers, perfect weather. I don't recall who helped us, but she was friendly and allowed me to get a few tasters to see what I liked. Giving it a 4/5 only bc no food here, but there are plenty of places to eat nearby and you can bring it in. Outdoor space was also great to bring our doggie here and she loved it.

Good vibes and great beer! We came to Mike Hess on a weekend afternoon, hoping to enjoy the nice weather and a cold beer. The patio had plenty of seating and was dog friendly, yay! No food in house, but plenty of nearby restaurants to grab food from and bring over. Can't wait to come back!

Wanted to wait until another visit here on a busier night would be before writing a review. I'm a Huge fan of this spot! Their outdoor patio is super cozy and plenty of room and shade for our fur kids. I'm pretty impressed with their tap rotation (both times I've gone I got a flight to try different beers). I think it's so cool they gift you with a souvenir cup when you turn your poker chip back in My favorites so far are the Mexican lager and the pineapple cider. So yummy and refreshing! Love that this tasting room is next to a handful of restaurants too so you can grab food to go and bring it here while enjoying your beer. I plan on coming here regularly! I've been meaning to have my next visit be during the week where i can bring my souvenir back for a discounted pour.

"Consistently Good Experience. Kudos to Woody and Andrew." I often come here after a run on Saturday. First, I get food from Jack's Urban eats, which they deliver right to the tap room. Then I settle down for a nice light beer. Hess has a good selection of beers and I usually get the Kolsch. But the thing that really makes this tap room are the bartenders, Woody and Andrew. Consistently friendly and helpful. They recently expanded the outdoor seating area. It's large now, with tons of picnic tables, high tables, stools, and a big screen TV. Well done! Nice people, good beer. What more can you ask?

    Sangria seltzer was delicious

I always drive by Mike Hess Brewing company and my husband and I finally decided to go in. It was a Friday afternoon so it was busy but the patio and indoor area is spacious so we were able to find good seats outside. You walk up to the counter to order your drinks. I ordered the sangria seltzer and of course my husband had a beer (can't remember which one but he really enjoyed it). I was pleasantly surprised by the sangria seltzer. I really enjoyed it. They do not serve food but a few of the nearby restaurants will deliver food if you call your order in and pay with a credit card over the phone. I decided to order food online at the Mexican restaurant next door and quickly picked it up and brought it back. It was a perfect pair with our drinks. I really love that they are dog friendly and there quite a few babies and toddlers as well. It is a fun atmosphere on a warm day. I am looking forward to coming back in the near future. I plan on picking up food beforehand next time.

Amazing beer, good flavor, and just tastes clean. The folks that work here are very friendly. Fair pricing and good vibes.

What's not to love about Mike Hess Brewing? A few of the things I appreciate most: Hospitality - Staff members are friendly, laidback, and excited to talk about their offerings. The setting is comfortable and beautiful, complete with indoor and outdoor seating options. The tree-covered patio is tough to beat! Kids, dogs, and outside food are all welcome. I enjoy the weekly community events like Taco Tuesday, Trivia Wednesday, etc. Variety - My husband loves IPAs and I love sours and ciders. Thankfully, they have both and more! We even like to try their fun blends like Spacey Lacey and Manmosa. I have a consistently delightful experience here and I'm so grateful this brewery is in my neck of the woods.

    Penny enjoying the patio

Two words: Vietnamese coffee. Such a nice day to enjoy good company. Great indoor and outdoor area and the service is phenomenal. Had a flight with some hazy IPAs and they were all excellent. My dog of course had a better time than I did if that's even possible.

No food, but beer is chronic. Hanna is killin' it in the back on the server side, love a place where I say stout and they ask how imperial! Will be back, hopefully with a smart attractive woman. Go

lots of outdoor seating, packed even on a Thursday evening!

Great hangout spot that I finally got a chance to try. Ample outdoor seating and it seems to get pretty full, even on a weekday eve. There are heaters sprinkled throughout, one tv, and lighting is good even after sunset. Beer selection is good. Not sure if it's limited during COVID or what the rotation looks like, but it seemed there could be something for everyone. I'm glad they had a West Coast IPA on tap for me. I'm not huge on Hazy. Only reason for 4 stars: While the staff was diligently wearing masks, they were unable to enforce the same of patrons. I watched one woman walk from her table to the bathroom inside without her mask, and no employee stopped her. They also served people who weren't wearing their masks properly. So if this is a concern for you, abstain from coming here until you're comfortable. Moreover, lots of people were commingling at other tables (not shocking at a beer bar/garden but everyone should still be cautious during COVID) and entering through the exit door and vice versa. Seems pointless to mark doors as enter and exit only when they don't enforce it. TL;DR this is a nice place to grab a beer and I recommend giving it a try. But if you're being extra cautious, do not come until it's safer.

Plenty of seating. Great location! Inside working!

This is the perfect spot for me to kick back and get some work done. I come here at happy hour. It is not crowded, the service is quick, and the Internet connection is reliable, fast, and free. Also, there are multiple monitors with Sports. Lastly the drinks are great. The staff is friendly and helpful. I accidentally dropped my drink and they cleaned it up for me - no problem. They just don't serve food. They have bags of chips and pretzels but no worries there is food next door! Oh they also have an outdoor patio

Sampler flight - I enjoyed their beers!

Kids were running absolutely EVERYWHERE while the parents sat around drinking like they had hired invisible babysitters. No supervision, no discipline, no "hey, get down from there"--nothing. At one point I was genuinely wondering if the parents even knew where their kids were. There are literally signs telling people to stay out of certain areas, yet kids were running all over the newly planted plants like it was recess. Look, I have nothing against kids, but a brewery is not a playground. If your kids need somewhere to sprint, climb, yell, and run laps, there are plenty of actual playgrounds nearby. Take them to Pixieland or COPA across the street and let them burn off some energy there. And maybe keep an eye on them while you're enjoying your beer... because watching two adults drink while their kids are running around unsupervised is not exactly the "relaxed afternoon" I came here for. The beer was good, I'll give them that. Unfortunately, the atmosphere felt more like Chuck E. Cheese with an IPA menu. Definitely not the peaceful brewery experience I was expecting.

Cons - No employee approached a male dog owner over his pit bull excessively howling / yelping over another dog. A couple yelps, fine. It kept going, it was loud, the silver-haired Boomer was taking his sweet time to ( not ) control his dog with respect to other people in the patio area. So, dogs are preferred over people, no one on staff to politely ask the man to control the dog immediately? One more thing: the barking was such a nuisance that I and another customer were looking back at the owner to see if he was taking care of it, the customer quipped about the dog going to be attacking him, if anything, I joked that I'd be fine, he then suddenly held up the numbered signage for his order ( w/ metal stand ) saying he was going to hit me with it. ( No light-hearted tone, moreso irritated and aggressive. ) And this is how suddenly bad things happen, how a customer spews out a verbal threat ( technically criminal assault ), linked to an out-of-control situation with a pet owner and his dog and a restaurant that won't do anything about it. Simple Solution: Train employees ( or remind them ) to assertively and cordially request owners to keep their dogs peaceful and quiet. Otherwise, it's sweeping a problem under the rug. Not smart nor respectful of other customers. Being Fair: If you like the energy of a loud restaurant, whether it's music and/or dogs barking, then you should be fine, drinks and all. If you love dogs, yet want them responsibly controlled in an environment where you seek to maintain an actual meaningful conversation, this establishment is a roll of the dice.
