The buildings on this site were part of the 22,000 acre Moulton Ranch dating back to the 1920s and 30s. It's a beautiful stretch of land of fruit trees, ponds, barns, bunkhouses and sheds. The ceremony was outside with the barn and farm as the backdrop. Rustic and romantic! Inside the barn is a modern and spacious room that easily fits 100 people. Bathrooms are nice and clean. I kept finding little hidden gems sprinkled across the grounds and the building. The patio is lit with fairy lights and actually comfortable seating options. You can rent out any of the spaces for meetings or events. This is everything a community center should be. A model for other towns.

The server came out and said he would have to move us and see us out even further because of the dog, and that other people at the restaurant would complain... first of all there was hardly anybody dining out at the restaurant they're about to close in an hour, a big group of smoking cigars on the side, which had a strong smell and more disturbing to others yet they were allowed to sit there. Well, the server wanted to move us further away. We were already outside, not underneath the pergola per their rules and yet they want to move us out even further, saying patrons would complain about the dog?! But they won't complain about the strong cigar smell?! Ok! We got up closed our menus and left. What a snobby place. There were so many open tables. We weren't even sitting directly next to anyone that could complain about our dog, we had him on a tight leash right at the table, and our dog is trained/friendly.

Ann was incredibly responsive and reliable throughout the process. At one point, she quickly stepped in to resolve an administrative issue involving another vendor--something that wasn't even her responsibility--and handled it efficiently and professionally. Her willingness to help and ability to problem-solve made a stressful situation much easier. The quality of both the furniture and the service was excellent. We would have loved to source our flatware through them as well if we had been able to. Overall, Sundrop Vintage was absolutely worth the long-haul fees, and we highly recommend them.

Everywhere you look, you could find something from modern, farmhouse, Bohemian, vintage, any style and any color you could imagine, you can find it here. My all-time favorite thing that will stick with me for years to come. I fell in love with a floral plate that they had gotten in, and I had to ask them to order eight plates. Unfortunately, they were not able to do that, but they did gift me the plate on my wedding day! That is now a very special memory and plate that I will treasure for years to come! We have always come to the Marine protected area when the tide is low and walked along the beach and sand outside the Institute to see all sorts of sea life. It is amazing what you can see, even saw an octopus one time. Just make sure that you know when the tide is rolling in and out to not get caught out on the rocks! On the backside of the Institute there are also benches to sit at and listen to the ocean. The Institute itself is filled with wonderful sea life and is a great learning experience no matter your age. Outside, there is a calm bay area where paddle boarders are all over as well as the educational ships filled with history. There is nothing that you cannot do in this area!

We came to the Ocean Institute for a homeschool field trip and was it ever worth it for waking up…read moreat 6am! The initial lesson part was split into groups and we were assigned to Sydney. She was absolutely delightful! Very knowledgeable and receptive to the questions the kids have! After the lesson, we headed out to the open sea.
