This is a great and budget friendly place for Karaoke! We came on a Wednesday night the day before Thanksgiving and luckily only had to wait for about 15-20 minutes. We were seated in the VIP 1 room and the room had the perfect amount of space for our party of 7. They offered 3 mics (1 standing, 2 handheld) which was nice as most places only offer the 2 handheld mics. We stayed there for about 2 hours which was more than enough for us so definitely a great spot to hang with friends for a little bit. The restrooms were also clean and one thing to note is they don't serve food nor allow outside food and drinks but you can always go to your car in the middle of the session if you need to. Got a room for a group of 12 on a Saturday night and we were seated in the VIP room. The room was really clean and set up. Love how they have YouTube streaming as an option to play karaoke videos. They had four mics, tambourines, drums, and a retro style mic with its stand. We had some trouble at first with the mic volume being low, so we notified the front and they were able to fix it. They don't allow any outside drinks, which is totally fine, but they do inspect bags. They have a fridge in the hallway, but you must tell the front desk that you're getting something before you can consume it. They have a wide variety of English, Korean, and a few other Asian songs, and they are constantly updating their song book with new songs. If it's your first time, the staff is always super helpful in explaining the set up. You can either pick the tablet or the YouTube search, the YouTube is easier to navigate, but using their own tablet system allows you to get scores at the end of every song which is super fun! This is a place that I frequent more often than not. There are no special deals but it is cheaper than the place in Irvine. Actually I think they have the most competitive hourly rates in the nearby OC area other than in GG. The rooms are clean and don't smell like smoke which I appreciate. The drinks are self service, you grab em and you can either tell them later or they just know haha. Service? none of that here...you also don't really need it as you just ask for a room then eventually pay at the end. However, the younger staff member is usually a bit nicer than the older guy that mans the front. Bathrooms are clean for the most part. They have large rooms as well as small rooms. I originally made a reservation after hearing from my friends about this place and my usual karaoke place being booked out, and this place is so much better! Who I think is the owner was very sweet and accommodating as me and my party were all highschoolers, he taught us how to use the music queue and let us take our time with paying afterwards (they do take cash!) I called a few days before to check out the room since I couldn't find any pictures of it, and he was kind enough to let me see (the room did not disappoint at all, super clean, seats comfy, had lots of instruments, and you can always get more for free in the front). My group was 14 people including myself, and the payments came out to only $11 per person for 3 hours during happy hour, which is half the price of other locations. This karaoke place was able to quickly accommodate my large group of 10-12 people last minute at 9:30pm on a Saturday, when all other places I called in the nearby areas (like Garden Grove) were fully booked until midnight! SO GRATEFUL to find a Karaoke place that had room, since it was our wedding night and we made impromptu plans to do a little post-party celebration here. The room we got put in was super clean, air conditioned (a little cold but better than being hot!), and had plenty of space for my group. It had 4 fully charged wireless microphones, an "Elvis style" microphone (not sure if it was functional, as we didn't use it), congas, 3-4 tambourines, and nice party lights. For the music selection, they had 2 books for the traditional "find a song and punch the number in" for Korean/Japanese, but they also had a tablet you could use for karaoke via Youtube -- which was AWESOME because Youtube of course has infinite songs you could think of and choose from, and it was very user-friendly! The only issue is that it lagged and went off-beat sometimes. Another downside I could see is that they didn't really have any beverages except water -- so if you're looking to drink while singing you won't find it here. The price was also very reasonable -- for our group of 10-12 it was around $60/hr. Overall I'd definitely come back here again. Came into town for a girls trip and we wanted to karaoke. This was one of the closer locations so we decide to check them out. We called in advance and they said they cannot put any names down but rather we need to come in person and wait. Which in fact we did. There was many other who were also waiting and they said it would be about a 45-60 mins wait. We understood due to it being friday night and all. So we decide to take a stroll down the street to a local bar while we wait. in the middle of our first round and talking they already called and said the room was ready for us. We quickly returned only to find they gave our room up and said it should be 15-20 mins more till the next room was available. They put us in the room and we started our party. The room has plenty of lights and to make it feel like a club. they also have tambourines which were my person fave. and they also have the option for you to chose music from streaming them on your phone to their TV. My colleague recommended this karaoke place after a night of drinking. Though it's located in a discreet looking plaza - once we were in, it felt like we were in Asia. They have room sizes based on your party and minimum 1 hour for a room. You also can't make a reservation after 9pm on the weekends. Our party of 8 had to wait around 20 minutes for a larger room (the smaller one would've been an hour wait) You can bring your own water and they sell some drinks (not sure if there's any alcoholic options) As we walked through the hallway, you can see into some rooms! It's really neat as it felt very modern. Our room fit 8 of us comfortably. They had tambourines, bongos, two mics, one vintage looking mic, and two systems for singing with. They had a LOT of songs. Korean, Japanese, Western artists, and I think some Chinese? They also had a folder for the most recent songs and also based on when they were released. It was a little over-whelming but mostly because I didn't know what I wanted to sing!! After our hour and a half was up - the worker came in and checked on us to see if we wanted to extended it. You do pay at the end so you can add as much time. It's seriously such a fun time and all my friends were having fun and singing (even the shy ones) I highly recommend Shout! Been here twice and still no complaints, the sound quality of the stereos and microphones are superb! They have plenty of rooms for smaller groups as well as larger groups. It doesn't seem to get particularly busy here so there's no wait time, at least not from my experience. I would take advantage of their happy hour specials where they offer a 40% discount on their hourly rates. As everyone else has said, this place has tons of songs to choose from in plenty of different languages. However if you're like me and you want to sing your favorite kpop songs, it's a lot easier if you have them connect you to Youtube instead. Searching for kpop songs using their songbooks are a nightmare unless you can actually read Korean. The con of having them connect to Youtube via tablet is that you can't switch back to the other machine that allows you to use their songbooks. I personally would just tell them up front from the get-go that we'd like the tablet for Youtube because there's still a ton of karaoke songs to sing on there, and it's great if you already know what you're searching for. Since my gf and I enjoy listening to music that's not all that popular, this is a great option for those of us that still want to sing to our favorites that aren't on mainstream radio. read more

I have brought my teenage daughter and her friends here many times. This place is clean and I feel pretty safe here. We usually come right after when they open at 4:00. And the happy hour price is great when you have bunch of girls that love to sing! I am fine with purchasing their water bottles as long as they allow outside food like snack and pizza. I am especially glad that they don't sell alcohol here. Don't want to deal with drunken singers! I am not sure why people complaint about the owner's attitude. I like Shout Karaoke, sometimes. They have what i considered a fair rate for this part of Orange County - and anything south of Tustin - and their place is clean. They don't serve alcohol and you can't bring any outside drink. Outside food is okay, but I'm going to say that it'll depend on your party. I've been to Shout many times with different groups of people and looking at some of the reviews, I get where some of the lower stars come from. I think this is one of those places where the, I'm assuming, main person of the establishment (older man w/ glasses) has that "Korean Superiority Complex". This is not something I typically come across, but to make sure my group and I have a good time, I'll brush it off. The patron treatment, although minor (since the interactions are typically when you come in and when you leave), will be dependent on your group. I've always felt that whenever I'm here with a group that consists of Koreans and Chinese (lighter skin) ones, the man always smiles. However, when I'm here with a group of SEAs, or not as fair skin as many Koreans, the man is always all about business, not smiling, etc. No complaint about the young man that I've seen a few times too. He's quite friendly. Again, for the price and cleanliness of the establishment, I'd come back. The sound system can definitely be better. But I wished the customer service could be better. read more

So I'm not much of a karaoke type. Since I once was told my voice was less then great. I took my husband here on a date. Something different that we had never done before. This place has better parking then the "other" place in the OC. The room were great the song selection was easy and we truly did have a good time. They have a happy hr special and I think we will be going back for that. There is no food or drinks served here.
