    Lobster Benny
    Leo G.

This is our 6th year coming to Hampton Beach and the first meal we have when we arrive is the Lobster Benny. We were advised that it is not ordered often enough which is why it was removed from the menu. The manager decided to bring it back for the weekend (seafood festival) and we couldn't be happier. Thank you Wharfside for all the all of the delicious food, wonderful service, and for bringing back the lobster benny.

Great breakfast. Corned beef hash omelet was great! Service was spot on and they were very busy!!

    Food was delish!!!!

MY boyfriend and I went here while on a night away from home. The food is excellent, our waitress, Dusty was a delight. Place very clean, very nice way to start your day. Kinda of busy for off season, that's tells you something, too.

The best tasting Eggs Benedict and potatoes!!!

My son and I went for breakfast during our vacation. Wait staff very helpful. decent kids menu. I love the fresh fruit and generous portions they give. They were a little to overzealous about cleaning up to quickly when i had to run my son to the restroom. They apologised and quickly made new food up for us to rectify the error. Dispite this, I do recommend them. In fact I had the basic eggs Benedict....it was the best I have had in YEARS!!

    Raw blueberry pancakes

We had such an unfortunate experience here. After waiting 20 minutes to be seated (not a big deal sjnce most places had a comparable wait time), the waitress served us pancakes that were raw in the middle. We were at the tail end of a rush so it wasn't like there were so many orders in after us, there was just a mix-up with the order that needed to be corrected. Since I kind of lost my appetite after getting the pancakes, we wanted to leave. Neither the waitress nor the manager apologized. That would have gone a long way to making things right. It was a early birthday celebration with my daughter and it was a downer for the day.

Decor at table for breakfast... yummy Lobster benny!

My friend got the raspberry cream cheese stuffed French Toast, which was also delicious. (I sampled!) They have homemade baked goods (breads, muffins, and a variety of donuts) that are to-die-for, too. I never leave without a few donuts to take home. It's quaint and small inside, but not uncomfortably so. You can either sit by a cozy, lit fireplace, or by a window. The staff here is always friendly and welcoming. You just can't go wrong with The Copper Lantern.

The blueberry muffins would have caught my eye even if I hadn't come for one already. Blueberry Muffin: Dense, wobbly, moist but not saturated, light angel cake flavor, numerous blueberries of good size, but not bulbous. Crunch in the crown from just the right amount of coarse sugar sprinkles, but no crispness in the overhang. Uniform pillowy soft texture throughout. Very good muffin. Coffee: Hot, medium bold flavor, and refills from your server. Service: Exceptionally good. Outstanding first impression. Looking forward to trying the homemade donuts and some traditional non-bakery breakfast items.

Our drink orders were taken right away but after the drink orders service was a little slow. The waitress explained they were short staffed. I take no stars off for this. Short staff is a common issue including my place of business. Our waitress was very friendly and really good with the children in our party. I really liked the variety on the menu. There were affordable options with some higher priced dinners. There was an option for everyone in our party. I had the stuffed haddock covered with a seafood stew. I'm a little bit of a snob when it comes to seafood stuffing so I was a little hesitant to try it but OH BOY am I glad I did. The stuffing and stew were amazing! No leftovers for me. The rest of our party had various options off the menu and all of us were please with our meals. I highly recommend The Old Salt. A nice ambience. Friendly service. Great food. We'll be back on our next Hampton Beach vacation.

I can only imagine how packed this place gets during the summer. Anyways, service was great. Both bartenders were friendly and one offered a marker + tape so we could hang our dollar bill on the ceiling. As for the food... IMO it wasn't up to par with the Manchester location but still good. The nacho appetizer was disappointing as the pulled pork on top was lukewarm and there was hardly cheese/toppings under the top layer. My BLT and fiancés burger were both good. Fries perfectly crispy. This is probably one of the better (if not the best) place to have a meal at Hampton Beach.
