Oh boy. We have one here. I passed by this place and decided to try it for my weekend splurge meal. I ate healthily all this week, so it needed to be good. When I tell you that I made the best choice, believe it. This establishment is clean, professional, and friendly. I felt like I ran into old friends here. The wait time was great considering they cooked the food on receiving the order. No heat lamps here. All of the food was first-rate and came out hot. It was still hot and fresh when I got it home. I drive past this place on my way to work everyday and had been wanting to stop in so today my wife and I decided to. Here are just a few of my observations. The staff is friendly and courteous, they make you feel welcome. However, if the staff had been hateful and rude I would not have cared because the food here is just crazy delicious. On top of that the portions are huge. My wife had the fish fillet and two piece combo with fries. I had the 4 piece dark and a small chicken livers. We were told that it would be a 12-14 minute wait. This is because they cook it fresh. And the flavor on the chicken is amazing. It was moist, hot and fresh. The fish was cooked perfectly as well. The "small" chicken livers could be (and will be very soon in the future) a meal on their own. All the fried items were crispy and not greasy at all. I love that it is served on bread. This helps with the little bit of grease you get and also flavors the bread. A great experience that I will be telling my friends and coworkers about. Recently moved to the area, and am so happy we found What's Cluckin. We made a fairly large order via their website and paid on-line which was a very efficient and easy process. I walked into the restaurant to pick-up our order, and was amazed at the cleanliness and atmosphere of the place. It was very welcoming and pleasant. The young lady behind the counter was warm and cheery, and you could tell she was just a good person with a good attitude. So things were off to a good start, then I got my food. Ordering on-line pretty much eliminates any wait. It is the best fried chicken I have had in a very long time. This place is legit. I got the 3 piece whole chicken wing and my husband got the 3 piece fried catfish and fries. Both can come with a side of sauce and white bread. Somehow I got lucky and got 4 wings so that was nice. The wings were smaller than I was expecting but they were very very very good. They didn't have a heavy batter at all which I enjoy. I like a light crispy outside and the chicken was seasoned very well. Most definitely getting them again but I do want to try the wings next time. My husband loves the catfish and the fries were really really good. They have a lot of great choices to pick from on their menu and also on Mondays they have one dollar whole wings with no limit so you know I'm gonna check that out! My boyfriend brought me here yesterday and we loved it so much we came again today. The chicken wings were hot, fresh, and juicy! Again, the chicken is made FRESH for every order so expect a wait and maybe even a line (I'm saying that a little louder for the people in the back complaining about a wait...) Today we tried the catfish and it was amazing, not fishy at all, full of flavor and a much larger portion than I was expecting. I'm giving this place 5 star BUT the one flaw I found to be quite off putting was the rewards program. My boyfriend and I were both shocked to see we only received 8 points for our two visits... come to find out you get 1 point for every 5 dollars spent and once you have 100 points (so you have to spend 500 dollars to get 100 points) you receive 10% your next order, up to 50 dollars off.... So that means I have to spend 500 dollars (avg. 25 dollars a visit x 20 visits = 500 dollars) to receive 10% off our next order (avg. bill 25 dollars minus 10% = 22.50). ... spend 500 dollars over the course of 20 visits to save 2.50... id feel better if there wasn't a rewards program at all. But what did make it home was really good. We got the seasoning on the side so when I bit into the wing, I was pleasantly surprised that it already had some flavor. The most delicious fried chicken served hot, fresh,crispy, juicy, and flavorful. My wife and I were just going to drop off a package at the ups store in this small shopping center when I spotted this restaurant. So we decided to stop in to see what they had. We have been disappointed in church's and Popeyes chicken and stopped eating fried chicken for awhile. So we decided to try it again and thank goodness we did. We took the food home and when we opened the bag the chicken was still hot and crispy ( not soggy like fried chicken you bring home in a box).
