I'll be generous and give them a 3. Couldn't remember the last time I ordered from here for a "get the pizza after work" dinner but there are new owners, which is fine. When I placed my order, the site said it'd be ready in 45 minutes, which seemed long but it was Friday night...everyone wants pizza. When I arrived, I was told it wasn't ready and it'd be another 15 minutes. Another guy and myself killed time waiting for our orders while people kept looking out from the little window of the kitchen, and we overheard "I've got so many tickets right now" and "where's the other one?" (whatever that means). Another 5-10 minutes AFTER the updated quote time, the pizza was ready, and an apology was given to the register instead of me. It sure seems that they're understaffed. I didn't remember the crust being this fluffy & soft, nor the sauce this sweet. Had that been how Pinball's pizza was in the past, I wouldn't have returned (just based on personal preference on how I like my pizza) but the others were fine with it, so majority rules in this case. Looking at the menu and the improvements to the interior, the new owners are trying to up their game, which is admirable...just seems like they've still got a bit more to go. read more

My friends and I came in yesterday for a late lunch/early dinner. First off, I loooooved the atmosphere! Their t-shirts and merch were so cool. The selection of pinball machines were neat too, we mostly played the Heavy Metal machine. We had a little trouble with the kiosk and one of the pinball machines but one of the workers was super helpful. When it came to the food, it was pretty decent. The fries are steak fries so be prepared to split them with friends. The pizza had a great cheese pull. We were very intrigued by their barbeque sauce, it was very different than what some of us are used to. The only thing that I wanna say is the music that was playing was seemingly the same three songs so some variety in that would have been nice. All in all, def will be back. read more

We ordered pizza here in the past for DELIVERY $$$$ tonight was a huge disappointment! The pizza was BURNT! And a complete FAIL! The pepperoni and pineapple was ridiculously sparse and what minuscule amount we did get was more like an after thought! It was like it was tossed on as it was wrapping up! The ribs were HORRIBLE! I worked for Sam, back when I was in 7th or 8th grade... going door to door hanging flyers. Back then, they had one of the best family specials ever: $19.99 for a large one-topping pizza, eight pieces of the BEST broasted chicken, and a six-pack of sodas! An unbeatable deal that lasted for years. I hadn't ordered from them in a long time, but recently went back and OH WOW! Why did I ever stop ordering? No idea! What I do know is this: it's still one of the sweetest deals out there!! Sure, it's not $19.99 anymore, but the FLAVOR and QUALITY are just as amazing; if not BETTER. The food on the other hand, for better or worse, is the same as the previous owners. I was hoping the food would be better. It is, at best, mediocre for me. The pizza is bland. LA is pizza heaven . Some of the best in the entire world. And then you find hidden gems like this. Big fat slices that remind you of the best pizza you ate as a kid. I love so many pizza spots, Hail Mary, Hot Tongue, Ozzys Apizza, and so on... but sometimes I need a big beautiful slice of hearty pizza and these guys nail it. A must every time I'm in Burbank. Update: 2024. Pinball Pizza has wonderful deals and specials on pizza/combos! This pizza place opens up in the later afternoon 4pm; and takeout only. Last call to place an order for pickup or delivery is 11:30pm; they close up shop at midnight. After all these years, our favorite thing to order is still the "Family Special": -Extra Large one topping pizza (reg or thin crust available) -8 piece chicken or 12 Jumbo Wings - 4 cans of Soda of your choice All for $33 something with tax, before tip. I've been ordering from this spot since the '90s, but it was always delivery. I drove by the other night and it caught my eye, so I stopped in, and I love what they've done with the place. The arcade aesthetic fits the name perfectly. Ended up playing some pinball while ordering a pie. The food is just as delicious as I remember. We Burbankers don't like to brag, but we're quite the pizza town. Picking up to dine at home? Put family-owned Pinball at the top of your list. Not too thin, not too thick, pizza here always hits the spot. Pinball has a zillion specials (check pinballpizza.net, click on PINBALL SPECIALS). In addition to pizza, they've got ribs, sandwiches (the meatball sub is a hit), French fries, and crowd-pleasing buffalo wings). Several of the specials are combos with pizza, wings and soda -- if that is not a party, I don't know what is. No tables, no chairs; pick up and go. Surprise super-delicious dessert you would not expect at a pizza place: the cheesecake. No idea about delivery. Burbankers pick up their food so we know it's good. Enjoy! read more

Wow! Been going to Pinball Pizza for years and it seems like it just got better. They cleaned the place up and even had Pinball machines in there to play while you wait for your food! Had the usual family special with pizza, broasted chicken and drinks and it was delicious as always. Even spoke to the head Chef who goes by the name of Big Rob and he told me they are still upgrading the place! I recommend trying it out! read more

I used to love pinball, got it every week, but since the change in ownership it's not the same pizza. Same ingredients but they don't have the dough down. When I ordered they gave me a pizza and the dough was not risen, it was really disappointing and just shouldn't have been given to a customer. Hopefully they can get it down one day... Unfortunately going to have to say goodbye to this once Burbank classic. read more

This review is long overdue. As a self proclaimed pizza connoisseur, I must say that the pizza here is phenomenal. The crust is fresh and the sauce has a wonderful flavor that words cannot describe. My son had the spaghetti and meatballs and was overjoyed by how delicious it was. The classic pinball machines are super cool and nostalgic bringing such great vibes to the restaurant. It's not the same owners. Found out when I showed up. Ordered online well in advance. Showed up to find that my order was not made. Instead of asking for my money back, I decided to wait for them to make 1 medium cheese pizza. It took them, to simply make a cheese pizza, over an hour to make. I'm never coming back for the sole reason of the lack of customer service, lack of communication, my pizza was slightly overdone. Just didn't taste the same. Worst experience in my pizza life. I really don't want to leave a low star review, but when you know a couple of kids are in the car, hungry and you keep saying 10 more minutes, that's just lying. I would have appreciated when I first came in, being told how long the order would take and if I would accept to wait an hour. Not fool me. At least offer me a pizza on the house for next time or water for waiting. Any offering would have saved you from this review. Good luck on your new business endeavors. We were greeted with menus right away and was told the pastas weren't currently available. We ordered two of their pizzas, Pazza pizza and Prosciutto pizza, and two of their salads, Caesar and Antipasto. I really enjoyed the salads and the prosciutto pizza. The Pazaa pizza was good too but the cheese was very filling for me. If you love cheese, you have to try the Pazza. Ingredients are all very fresh! I would recommend ordering ahead of time because the pizzas did take awhile to make and bake, but luckily they had TV on so we watched TV while waiting. If I'm in the area again, I would definitely order takeout from here.

It took a bit for the pizza to be ready, but anything worth doing is worth doing right. The pizza is definitely on the doughier side, so if that's how you enjoy you zza this is the place to be. Lucifer's Pizza is pretty damn good, so if you're around and feeling like a slice, give them a shot!

A simple "I'll be right with you" would have been nice. Then she came and finally greeted us with a "hey" that was partially a sigh as well. Extremely rude and didn't seem like she wanted to be there and acted as if we were inconveniencing her in some way. Not a way I want to be greeted when going to an establishment to give them my money. I agree with Dania's review below that was 7 days ago and the picture she posted is the same employee that "helped" us. The pizza is good and pretty consistent always. I just don't like being treated like I'm bothering the employees when coming in to order. Also, this has been an issue since opening, but it is uncomfortably hot in there. Too hot to sit down and eat inside the restaurant. Probably will take a break from slicehouse for a while.

Today I got their lunch special, which is a pretty great deal. You get a personal pizza either cheese or pepperoni, a salad and a drink for $9.99 (add $1 for deep dish). The only bummer here is their soda machine was broken, so had to get a can, won't ding them for it, things happen. But if I come back again in a month or whatever and still not working, then maybe I would have to drop them to a 4, otherwise 5 stars for sure. I also added an order or there cheesy bread sticks with marinara sauce. This was excellent as well, cover with cheese and baked in a Detroit style pan so you have crispy cheese edges all around, get some when you go, I think you will love it. The Salad was also very good, onion, tomatoes, cucumbers lettuce and arugula, very tasty and their blue cheese dressing is on point. The service here takes a little time as everything is made to order, but worth the wait and the staff was nice either way. Inside is minimalistic, a handful of seats at high standing bench style tables, but works great and you can sit at the window and people watch. The parking in this area is tough, although I was lucky and got a spot right in front, otherwise, I could see some challenges. Not sure if there is a close lot around, but hopefully. Otherwise everything was great and parking was really easy for me today at least. They also have a rewards program and I always recommend joining these, you can earn rewards, order ahead and make it convenient for yourself rather than waiting. Enjoy!

The only downside is that every time I've come, there has usually been a bit of a wait, especially because the restaurant itself is pretty small with limited seating. The inside is cute, but small, so we usually end up sitting outside. This is where their Monrovia location does have the advantage because it has much more space. Parking can also be tricky. Good luck finding a spot close enough where you don't have to walk far. We usually end up parking in the residential area around the corner. That said, the staff are wonderful and always try to be as accommodating as possible despite how busy they are. Highly recommend this place if you're okay with possibly waiting a bit for seating. We were warmly greeted by Erick--the host, standing by the podium and right away he got us a seat inside. After like 5 minutes, Elsa, our server approached us to take our order. My friend and I both felt like we were being rushed through our meal. Food came out hot and quick. We opted for a few of their dishes. Tacos Mananeros, came with 4 tacos ($18.95), with 4 complimentary sauces. 2 of the sauces were very spicy and Elsa didn't warn us. We also got the Veggie Omelette with tomatoes, onions, spinach, mushrooms, Jack cheese, topped with avocado and a side order of hash browns. They made the hash browns perfectly. Told her nice and crispy on the top and that's what we got. (18.95). We also shared their French Toast topped with Strawberry, Blueberries, and Blackberries. ($16.95) topped with lots of Whipped Cream (which I love) and a side of syrup. We needed to add more syrup to make the French Toast more moist. The French Toast was a bit dry for our liking. Even the people sitting next to us who ordered the same thing were saying the same. On the flip side, the other 2 dishes tasted fresh and delicious. Great portions for the prices. We also got this drink called Powerful from their smoothies section of the menu. It was called Green Smoothie. Ingredients were the following: blueberries, honey, Greek Vanilla yogurt, avocado and Almond milk. It was simply very refreshing and delicious. My friend wanted some sort of Latte, Espresso, Americano, etc..but they didn't have any of those drinks. All they had was regular & decaf coffee. At first, I asked for Cranberry juice, and Jose, said they only had Apple and Orange juice. We found it a bit odd not to have any of those drinks. Going back to our server Elsa, she was a bit aloof and forgetful. I asked for a bowl of fruit, and it never made it to our table. After we were done eating, I asked for two to-go boxes and a bag, she forgot that too. We had to ask the other employees to get them for us. The same with to-go containers for our sauces. She forgot to bring napkins too. Jose, (our busboy), needs a raise and promotion! This young man read all the ingredients on the Taco menu which came with: bacon & egg, chorizo with potato & eggs, machaka/eggs, & nopaitos/eggs. The writing in their menu was very small. Another server by the name of Angel, truly was an angel. Checked on us while Elsa was taking orders over the phone. They have another location in Monrovia, a gender neutral restroom, place was very clean. Inside was small. It had 10 tables and nice couches with cozy, inspirational decor and pillows. Located right in downtown Burbank, you walk in and order at the counter, you get a number, and they bring the food out to your table when ready. It's very casual, plenty of seating inside and outside. Staff were super friendly and welcoming, which is a huge deal and very rare nowadays. They even had a new happy hour special. Who doesn't love a $3 beer with lunch? As for the food, I was thoroughly impressed! Pastrami melt was amazing! Full of delicious pastrami, melted cheese, and pickles. So delicious! Fries looked like they were actual fresh made fries, not frozen, which was a nice surprise. I could also tell that they make their ranch from scratch. The bbq chicken sandwich was also delicious. Side salad was super fresh. Everything was so delicious! Portions nice; prices fair. I am impressed with Wild Carvery because I could tell that the ingredients are fresh and the quality is high. I also suspect that they make their own pickles? But I'm not sure. If quality and freshness are important to you, I highly recommend checking out Wild Carvery. I can't wait to come back and try their burgers.
