Ordered take out from here to satisfy a craving for calzones, which was absolutely met! The dough was incredible, nice and crispy on the outside with a slight chew in the middle. The ricotta and mozzarella on the inside was thick, stringy and rich in flavor. My main criticism is with the pineapple I ordered, which was very obviously straight out of a can with little flavor. If you're not using fresh pineapple, which is understandable, I'd at least take the time to roast it in a pan before putting it in a calzone, because it's not going to cook, but rather only warm inside. Also, the ingredients were lopsided, so one end was packed and the other was mostly cheese. Lastly, there wasn't enough sauce on the side for the huge size of the calzone. I will say however, the other calzone I tried with Italian sausage, artichoke, and olive was impeccable. Even though we didn't eat there, the restaurant itself has a cozy, local business vibe with outdoor seating. This would be a great place to take a sports team or any group outing in general, especially since there's tons of free parking in front and around the corner. Pick up was easy, though the online system didn't allow us to put in our credit card information, so we had to select cash at check out. They ended up calling us to get the card information over the phone, but then we still ended up using the physical card on site. The first time I went in to grab a pizza, I I had a small friendly chat with the manager and she was kindly explaining with so much pride how they use fresh ingredients on their pizza and they're very clean. Just accidentally found the cutest NY style pizzeria! We tried the pesto pizza with to die for homemade pesto and a meatball calzone with ricotta and mozzarella. The crust is thin and crisp and there is so much cheese. The owner Jeanette is the cutest New Yorker ever who told us about every thing and helped us pick something delicious. This is hands-down the best pizza in Burbank. We used to be regulars at North End Pizza--literally, we came every single week. Our obsession? The cheese pizza with pepperoncinis and green peppers. Everything here is freshly made from scratch and we were treated like royalty while staying here. The owner was very interested in getting to know us and thanked us for dining there. The staff taking our order was also really kind but the compliments don't so stop there. The pizza came out crispy and hot with a wonderfully tasting dough. I was wrong...while waiting in our vehicle for our order, the delivery driver who may also be the cook (?) was smoking when he left for a delivery. Back to the pizza! We ordered a meatball sandwich and a chicken cheesesteak and split them both. The chicken cheesesteak was really lacking in meat and being From philly the claims of a "Philly cheesesteak" are vast, but I don't think mushrooms, onions and peppers belong in it unless specified. It was a Friday night and I didn't want to fight traffic for a nice pie. Instead, I decided to try a local spot in the Burbank area for a change and found North End Pizzeria. I placed an order for a large pepperoni pizza (14 inch) and an order of wings (10 pcs) that came out to $45 without tip. The lady owner mentioned that the wings were homemade along with the sauce, so I added an order with the pizza. The pizza was average with very little taste, which was disappointing since I was dying for nice pie. This is a pizza more on the gummy chewy side, nothing like the thin new york style with a nice crispy under carriage. The wings were also slightly disappointing since it was advertised as being very good. The wing sauce was a little watery and the skin was slimy, which felt like the wings were not thoroughly cooked. The customer service was average. There was not many people there on this night and the female cashier kept asking if the order was mine every time a pizza came from the oven. I kept showing them my ticket #, but there seems to have been some miscommunication that night. I feel the female cashier may have been new and still in training. All in all, the pizza and wings were average and yet way OVERPRICED. After this visit, I probably won't be visiting North End Pizza anytime soon. If you're looking for good tasty pizza I would recommend Pizzana (in Sherman Oaks), Side Pie (in Pasadena) or Joe's Pizza (in Sherman oaks). read more

This is slowly becoming our favorite pizza place in Glendale for work lunch. The wings are amazing. They're that right kind of hot that tingles your lips but doesn't make you go running for milk. They're big too and perfect for sharing (or their own meal). The pizza bread here is chewy and soft even after it cools which is not something you find often enough. Their Market Pizza is everyone person pleasing good. There's three of us with different tastes and it satisfies us all. The calzone was a little disappointing, it was more air than anything. Still great bread and fresh ingredients but so much air. It is possible that it's because I requested no ricotta but I had hoped it would have been replaced with mozzarella. So not sure there. Still, we love this place and the staff has always worked with us, from replacing an item immediately and letting us know to calling to confirm the online order and ensuring we are able to pick it up. But, if you persist and actually do get to order a pizza it's beyond expensive for a lousy pizza. On top of it being just plain bad pizza, they burned it. This is a family owned and run restaurant, and man are their pizza and salads are spot on. Tonight I had the Italian Chopped Salad and it was perfect.
