Covid... no covid.. it doesn't matter - this place is consistently the SLOWEST "fast food" restaurant I have ever encountered

The worst experience ever! My husband ordered avocado bacon burger and this's what I got!! I think the avocado just ran away huh?! Last time, they messed up my husband order too. I went to this Whataburger while passing through to go to my daughter's softball game in Danbury. There are 2 lanes in the drive-thru. There was only 1 car in lane B, and 4 or 5 in lane A so being in a bit of a hurry, I decided to choose lane B. Not a good idea on my part. It took 20 minutes from time of ordering to get my order. They had an obviously VERY pregnant employee bringing the orders outside. Which made NO sense to me. That's not an ideal job for a pregnant woman in her final months, but I digress. The order was wrong. Of course, and to make it even more painful, I watched as car after car in the A lane got their order and drive onward to enjoy it. All in all, it was okay. Just don't go in lane B. Even though the drive-thru wasn't at all crowded, it took forever, and I was late to getting my daughter where she needed to be. read more

I was at the drive thru waiting like 5 minutes and then it was my turn to order and the girl couldn't hear me she wasn't paying attention to anything I understand she probably has to do a lot and she is trying super hard but I didn't even get my chicken bites that I wanted and waited for all this time I had to wait at the window for her to get ranch and so we waited there 10 mins and not one person asked us if we need something they were just standing there but I do give them credit they are trying there hardest but are so slow read more

Can I give less than one star. I love Whataburger, but unfortunately the one in my hometown is the most poorly run example of he franchise. They are always slow (waited 25 minutes for a #1 combo) and they got it wrong again. But you have to love the consistency. They always get it wrong and take forever doing it. I don't eat here anymore but my kids still like it. That's why I'm driving down the road to Taco Bell. read more

Exceptionally slow service. Waited in the drive-thru line for 35 minutes this morning for breakfast including 12 minutes at the pick up window AFTER I had paid. Employees were walking around inside with absolutely no sense of urgency despite a long line of morning commuters. My son was late for school as a result. There is no excuse for such slow service in the busy morning hours. read more

Older Mary w/glasses @the drive through window gave me one packet of ketchup for my 3 piece chicken strips She didn't even ask if I wanted sauce for my chicken strips I was very polite when she asked about ketchup. Previous experiences have not been much better this year. Ordered a double meat burger, kid brought me a single cold patty burger. This is one of the worst Whataburgers. This place is filthy. The food was cold, the fries stale, and the Texas toast tasted like cardboard. You have to work pretty hard to screw up a Whataburger, but they managed to succeed. This is my second bad experience as this location. There won't be anymore. Step up your game. This place has put up with so much of my crap that I dare not utter a bad word about them. The staff at 3 AM (when I usually go) is really cool about my friends and I playing Magic the Gathering forever, even when I only order pies and a drink. It's the best fast food burger place, hands down. Honey BBQ Chicken Sandwich forever. read more

It's nice that they have two lanes and decently fast service, but when you get your food, and your fries are ice cold and they forget the gravy you paid extra for, and put one jalapeño on your order when you asked for extra, it'll really piss you off. Went on to complain and to get my gravy they forgot and they told me the order didn't show any of that. I then showed the cashier the receipt which had my order correct and she dumb asked "well what do you expect me to do?" They refused me my right to the gravy I PAID for and wouldn't refund me. read more

I don't know whats going on with the evening shift at whataburger but it sucked last night. i went there after wrk and took home 40 plus $ worth of food for a hungry family, i expected the food to have been a whole lot better. my order was wrong and the french fries had a funky taste to them.looked like they had other pieces of food stuck on them.... gross....needless to say i won't be going back!!!! read more

What better way to start your thanksgiving than starting it with food poisoning and throwing up all over the inside of your car. I knew when unwrapping that burger and seeing the grease dripping out of it that I should not have eaten it, but took 3 bites anyway juuuust to throw up allllll over the inside of my car, and missing thanksgiving because I can't stay out of the bathroom. Best Whataburger I've ever eaten at. The food and service is great. I live in Friendswood, but occasionally drive to Alvin for this one. Their fountain drinks are like out of the can. They have that soft crunchy ice like at Buccees. It is worth the drive. read more
