After waiting forever and paying $15.24 I got home with a burger. No onion rings. No fries. No drink (which I said I don't want so that's on me). They left out half my order. Am I going to drive back over there at midnight in my underwear? Of course not. I am so mad.

Ok. As a Texan I love me some Whataburger. I just don't love this Whataburger. We've had a few issues with them getting orders wrong or forgetting items but today was the straw that broke the camel's back. Or, the uncooked bacon that broke my heart. We went through the drive thru to bring it home and eat while watching church. And they were busy. No biggie. We expected it. We ordered and told the employee we wanted ketchup and picante sauce and he said no problem just let your server know when you pay. Which we did. Three times. Guess what? No ketchup. No picante sauce. No butter. Oh but we did get undercooked bacon! Yum. Not. The server at the window tried to hand us three different orders until they got to ours. And we asked him three different times about the ketchup and picante sauce. Of course if he didn't know which order was ours he probably didn't know about the condiments. Our bad for driving away without checking but it's such a normal request I thought surely they'd get it right. Wrong. When we got home we discovered all the bacon from hubby's order was undercooked as were his hash browns. So I would up giving him half of my meal which is fine except we paid for two full, supposedly edible meals. This Whataburger feels like it could be owned by people outside of Texas. Oh. Wait. I feel un-Texan leaving a one star review for Whataburger but a real Texas Whataburger wouldn't treat us like this.

We wish we'd have known Whataburger changed the menu before we went. They serve hidden valley ranch in small containers but still charge full price, they also do not toast the breads. They somehow find new ways to make this establishment worse every day. Gladys

Every time I go this this location, I sit in the drive thru for NO LESS than 30 minutes. Slowest Whataburger I've ever been too.

I don't know if they could ever produce their meals any slower. Employees look like they hate being there.

Slowest Whataburger drive thru ever! At least 30 minutes in drive thru. Something needs to change for this location. Years ago it was great.

Chick-N-Run Hot Chicken & Wings is a little hidden gem in Friendswood that I discovered on Facebook…read morein a local foodie group. It is off a main road but pretty easy to miss if you are not looking for it. I just happened to be in the area and checked my bookmarks for something close and was reminded to check this place out. I pulled up to a empty parking lot on a Sunday afternoon. There was one table waiting on their food. Customer service was great. I'm not sure who took my order, but he gave me owner or manager vibes as he sat working on a laptop between customers. The screens above the cash register where the menu is displayed was off so I had to use a paper menu on the counter. I wouldn't say I'm a big Nashville hot chicken guy, but every once in awhile I get a craving for it. The name of the restaurant implies they have wings, but I did not see it on the menu or ask about them. That would usually have been my go to at a chicken spot. The item that did stand out to me was the Korean Chicken. I was told it's a popular item and I could pick my spice level. It already comes with white rice but you can make it a combo with fries and a drink. I went that route but also added fried okra because fried okra is always a must. I see other reviews commenting about store bought products and what not. That doesn't bother me as long as my food taste good. For example, I saw frozen fries but they were cooked perfect and seasoned just right. My only complaint would be the use of bottled drinks instead of a soda fountain. When serving spicy food, ice and refills would come in clutch! Back to the food. My good came out piping hot and it smelled delicious. The portions were huge and I immediately asked for a to go box. It was easily two full sized meals. The Korean chicken had a very tasty glaze on them and packed some heat. It had me sweating but was very enjoyable. I only wish that it was a little more crispy as Korean Fried Chicken usually is. Fries were from a bad but good. The okra was so delicious and seasoned just right with a touch of salt. Not a healthy meal by any means but very good. Overall, I'm glad I finally got a chance to check this place out. It is out of the way, but I would most definitely come back if in the area.

Tried their regular wings and fries but had to get a generic drink from a small freezer down the way since their fountain drinks were out of order. Honestly might have been a good thing? lol The flavor of their dry rub was definitely solid and the wings were HOT AF, but they didn't really taste all that great. Really not the worst I've had in the Houston area but couldn't come back.

The service was great and they are very attentive. Cornbread: They came out with regular rolls but the cornbread was my favorite. It wasnt very sweet. It was more like a savory and warm cornbread muffin. It was pretty good though. Chicken fried chicken: As you can see from my picture, it is massive. The chicken breading is great and it is nice and crispy. The chicken breast was juicy and came out nice and hot. They put the gravy on the side so its perfect to dip. Mashed potatoes: The mashed potatoes were great. They are smooth with no skin or chunks inside. The gravy came on top which added great flavor. Mac and Cheese: My mac and cheese came out a little cold but it was alright. It wasn't extremely cheesy either, it just tasted a little plain for my taste. I wish it was more cheesy and warmer. Buttered corn: Speaks for itself. It's corn kernels and butter. Cant mess that up. Overall, very good food and you can tell lots of butter was put into every dish. So just beware if you don't like overly salty food!!!
