Ok. As a Texan I love me some Whataburger. I just don't love this Whataburger. We've had a few issues with them getting orders wrong or forgetting items but today was the straw that broke the camel's back. Or, the uncooked bacon that broke my heart. We went through the drive thru to bring it home and eat while watching church. And they were busy. No biggie. We expected it. We ordered and told the employee we wanted ketchup and picante sauce and he said no problem just let your server know when you pay. Which we did. Three times. Guess what? No ketchup. No picante sauce. No butter. Oh but we did get undercooked bacon! Yum. Not. The server at the window tried to hand us three different orders until they got to ours. And we asked him three different times about the ketchup and picante sauce. Of course if he didn't know which order was ours he probably didn't know about the condiments. Our bad for driving away without checking but it's such a normal request I thought surely they'd get it right. Wrong. When we got home we discovered all the bacon from hubby's order was undercooked as were his hash browns. So I would up giving him half of my meal which is fine except we paid for two full, supposedly edible meals. This Whataburger feels like it could be owned by people outside of Texas. Oh. Wait. I feel un-Texan leaving a one star review for Whataburger but a real Texas Whataburger wouldn't treat us like this. read more

I love whataburger but they are always putting my fries and gravy in the bag upside down This location is closest to me, so it's usually the one that I attend. At peak times, the drive through line can get VERY long and not all employees have the same pep in their step. Besides that, they're always friendly and are ready to jump on any mistakes and they thank you for being patient. Ordered 2 sausage biscuits. Girl at window charged more for sausage biscuit egg cheese. She started arguing with me when I tried to explain I only wanted sausage biscuits. Her manager started lecturing me on the correct way to order sausage egg biscuit if I didn't want the cheese. I said I didn't want egg or cheese!! I just want 2 sausage biscuits!! The last several months Whataburgers I've ordered have been terrible. This location has had issues for years with service and getting orders wrong, but now the burgers are just disgusting. The meat has absolutely no flavor, the tomatoes are over-ripe and mushy, the bun is always cold and the burger is flattened like someone mashed it down with their hand. I've complained to management to no avail so now I'm leaving a negative review. I must not be the only one who's noticed because I never see long lines there like I used to for years. read more

It pains me to give my beloved Whataburger 2-stars but this one, unfortunately, deserves it. I realize Whataburger makes things when you order so everything is fresh. With that being said, What-a-wait when you order here. They were busy but give me a break. Making burgers is what you do. It should NEVER take you 28 minutes from the time I order until the time you hand me my food. I only ordered three meals. There wasn't anyone with a huge order in front of me. It seemed that everyone was waiting forever for their food. This Whataburger is SSSSLLLLLLOOOOOOWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!! Very slow. They definitely need some upper-management "encouragement" to speed things up. I will say that the food was prepared correctly and it was fresh when I finally received it. If I would have known it would take that long, I wouldn't have stayed. Bottom line - Fresh food. Good food. Very slow service. Extremely slow. I mean really really really slow. We have an hour of lunch and we just wanted to pick it and head back to eat at work. It took over 20mins to get to the window just to be told to park on the side and keep waiting. Then when we got our food we we're missing a side of fries and told the lady just to give us attitude. Food was alright and that's sad after living in California for 8 years defending Whataburger against In and Out. Also don't complain to the store, go straight to corporate and let them know one of their franchises is not up to code. The Whataburger Corp. needs to shut the Alvin, TX one down. From the manager all they way down the line; the staff members who work there do not care... They have no pride in themselves little alone their job. Every time we go there our order is totally wrong. But my family grew up on Whataburger (not me!!!) and love it. So tonight I was nice and gave in and went to Whataburger for them. Let me explain. I hate more than hate cheese burgers so I always always make sure to explain to any restaurants to please DO NOT add cheese to my hamburger. So tonight I get home and hand out everyone meal to them and wouldn't you know I get a horrible double cheese burger!!!!! Not only was my burger wrong, with not one but TWO pieces of cheese and ice cold but all of our fries were cold (not ice cold but cold with no salt). As much as it hurts to say this about a Whataburger but an absolute fail, a normal Whataburger number 1 barely any lettuce in it. They where completely out of spicy ketchup. No napkins in the dining area.
