Went here a couple months ago while down in Greenville shopping. Food was absolutely delicious (but not super fast, they actually make it fresh, so have some time when you go). Service was friendly, prices reasonable. Ambiance is typical diner/fast food. If you have little ones, bring a stroller/carrier. Otherwise, would 100% recommend and will be back. read more

Maybe it should matter more? Lunch. No other customers inside this very small dining area. They have a kiosk for ordering that utilizes an Ipad system and ApplePay but all I wanted was a couple of chili dogs and there were 3-4 folks behind the counter. I didn't really want to have to scan the menu and all that. Finally a nice lady took my order, so all good there. I have been on the search for the best chili dog around and heard these were good because of the grilled wiener. The grilled wiener was tasty, the chili was sweet - too sweet - but not Sloppy Joe sweet. the bun was a non-descript white bread bun. Chili, onion, mustard. Hot dog is $1.99 and add $0.35 for all beef. It just wasn't better than QT. QT is all over the place (availability), cheaper and better. But sweet chili is deadly and overpowers any other flavor. read more

This place doesn't look like much, but it's amazing. If you're not looking for it, then you'll miss it! My mom ordered the fried flounder with okra, corn on the cob, and cabbage casserole. I ordered the chicken livers with corn nuggets, cabbage casserole, and mac&cheese. The livers were delicious with the perfect amount of salt, and I ordered some brown gravy on the side. The corn nuggets are deep fried deliciousness. A nice crunch on the outside with pop of sweet corn filling on the inside. The mac & cheese was solid. I'll definitely order it again. The okra was perfect. Now... this cabbage casserole. It doesn't look like much at all. I was unsure when I first got it, but I saw some high praise on yelp. Just do yourself a favor and order it. It's salty and creamy and delicious and messy. I think it has cream, cheese, ground beef, onions, cabbage. That's 100% a guess. Anyway, 20/10 would recommend. I'm a chicken liver connoisseur (that's why I originally sought this place out), and that cabbage casserole was my favorite thing I tried that day. It's worth the drive for me to support an outstanding local business. From just meeting these folks once, it seems like a close knit family running it. And it's owned by a woman. People overhyped this restaurant a whole lot. Like a lot. But I must give credit where credit is due, and say that their lemonade is insanely good. Honestly the best I've ever had. I kept asking for more Im not gonna lie. Absolutely amazing. The wings though. My mom went and ordered Buffalo lemon pepper, honey sriracha, teriyaki, lemon pepper. Mediocre. I couldn't really tell the difference but I could taste the sriracha and teriyaki. They were crispy too. They sauced them up really good but it wasn't as good as I'd hoped for it to be considering, the order had come out to $76.36 (including tip because it was a big order and random one at that.) Overall it was little underwhelming but still good! Would I go again? For the lemonade, yeah. The wings? Not so much. read more

It Does Matter... We were in town for the weekend and my friends and I wanted tasty fried fish. We were surprised at fish (whiting) for $4 and some change. The menu didn't specify that it was for one piece of fish. This makes sense but I suggest that be specified on the menu. Also, I just don't understand not seasoning fried fish. Also, they won't give you more than three ketchup packets. My friend had corn nuggets that tasted frozen and heated up. I would not likely return to this establishment. read more

My husband & I were in town for a conference. This place popped up on Yelp as a recommendation. We're originally from NYC but have lived in San Antonio for over 18 years. We were greeted by a women who I could only describe as someone I wanted to call Auntie :). We were so happy to see fried Whiting on the menu. That fish was the star of the show! It was a nice sized piece, seasoned, lightly battered & fried to perfection. We also had honey hot wings, a small side of baked mac & cheese, a side salad and seasoned fries also with large sweet teas. The wing pieces we big, fried crispy and not overly saturated in sauce with a side of blue cheese dressing. This diamond in the rough made such a an impression on us we planned on going back the next day. I'm writing this review the next morning while eating breakfast and the only thing I felt might've been missing was green beans to go with the mac to make it feel like a real home cooked meal. Overall, I enjoyed all of the food. It looked very appealing & tasted great. Heard about this new restaurant from a friend's Facebook post and went to try it out for lunch today. Good southern cooking! My husband had the chicken livers, fried okra and cabbage casserole. He loves all of these things and is pretty particular about how they are prepared. On the day that we went (they had just opened) they were experiencing some technical difficulties with new restaurant opening issues, they were very open and helpful and apologetic that the whole menu was not available at the time that we came because they would not be able to prepare it to their standards of quality. They were able to prepare all of the items noted above that he wanted- and he said that they were delicious and he will definitely be back. Apparently chicken livers are tricky to prepare well (they can easily be overcooked and rubbery) but these were perfect and tender. (I'm not a livers, okra or cabbage fan so I can't speak to these) but he said they were all great! I just had a chili dog and French fries - and they were both good and reasonably priced. The French fries are hand cut- not frozen from a bag and they were great! The owners were extremely nice and friendly- we will definitely be back. Give this new business a try if you are looking for Southern food! I'm giving it five stars for their great attitude and the total thumbs up from my husband on the chicken livers! read more

IT DON'T MATTER! Man I laughed at the name when I heard it and thought that this was fact, but it's real. Wings: The wings were a great size, bigger than anywhere else close by. Pricing is about average. Great flavor as well. Had the "Lemon Pepper" & "Honey-Lemon Pepper" & "Garlic Parmesan" wings. My only complaint about this place is that they slightly messed up my order. We ordered about 40 wings total, one of the flavors got confused and was "dry" instead of "wet" - you know what I mean. Vibe: I wouldn't say "hole in the wall" as the place wasn't bad, but it's not a restaurant. You can eat in, but forget about "social distancing" as the seating is close.
