Must be whataburger policy to make you wait at the window while they get the order of other customers ready before they gave my order. Waited at the window for 14 minutes. Only order 2 burgers and a fries. By the time they gave me my food the burgers was warm and the fries was like Luke warm. I only order two burgers and a fries why the hell did I saw them getting 5 plastic bag ready instead of giving my food when it is hot so I can leave and not make me wait for 14 minutes instead of leaving it on the counter and getting other customers order ready. Not the first time this has happened to me. Happened at a different location in Tempe. Must be their policy for when the drive thru is backed up you let the first order sit there and get the other orders ready so you can give it to everyone at once. Never eating at whataburger again. So ask yourself next you're at whataburger and you are sitting at the window for over 12 minutes plus before they give you the food and it's warm and not hot. That is the reason why. read more

I was at the drive thru at this store at 7631 around 6:30, they were very slow, I clearly ordered a large iced tea with extra ice, half cut sweet, and confirmed it twice with the speaker and the pull-up window. They gave me a large sweet tea with barely any ice. Its been years since my husband and myself have visited Whataburger. But he saw a sign as we drove by for a pattymelt and wanted to try it. We went in and there were so many workers at the front. Yet no one greeted us. We patiently waited amd still nothing. After a few minutes an employee came up to the registers we walked towards the one he was at. And then he walked to the other register, (the one we originally were standing in front of) and then he just walked away. Other employees were high fiving eachother and having a good time. But no one acknowledged us. We waited a minute or 2 longer and then we just walked out. We ended up going to the other location on indian school and litchfield. Where when we walked in everyone welcomed us. It was a night and day experience. Get your crew together and teach them the basics. Would give no stars but yelp does not allow. read more

I went here and ordered the spicy chicken sandwich, with a large fry. I ended up paying like 9$. When I got home I had a dollar chicken sandwich and not the spicy chicken sandwich. I came through the drive through and purchased 50.00 dollars worth of food which was cold and to top it off how do you completely forget the chicken strips in a kids meal???? And after my recent visit to this location as well as a visit to In N Out just across I10, my prior experience with both chains holds true. So I've been to only a few Whataburgers ever and this one by far was the best experience I've had. Probably at any fast food restaurant period! The cashier who took my order was attentive, polite and helpful. Answered all my questions and I didn't feel like he was trying to make me hurry up with my order. Which is so appreciated! He was even taking time to greet customers as they entered the restaurant, and thank customers as they walked out and was apologetic to me for doing that, but I told him it was great and I appreciated him for acknowledging those customers as well! The dining room was clean, the restrooms were clean which is sometimes hard to come by at busy fast food joints. He helped me bagged my drinks in the drink carrier, the other crew member who delivered my food to my table was polite and thank me as well all while the cashier walked me to the door! I forgot to mention, after I placed my order, another customer came in and hr was just as polite and she shared a story with him about her last visit and thanked him for being so polite as well then! There was one person in front of me while in line to order.. The cashier who was very nice and friendly proceeded to talk with the gentleman for a total of five minutes. I then placed my order and waited 15 minutes for my first salad and had to remind them that there was a second salad on the order. It took 19 minutes to get my order. They were not understaffed by any means. They were at least five employees just standing around. I absolutely love Whataburger and their salads are so good. However today's wait was not only horrible.. so was my salad. They hardly put any lettuce in it! Terrible experience at this location. I know whataburger also takes longer then any other fast food so I kept that in mind but I ate my "salad" and now I'm late to work and still hungry. I saw a sign for interviews Tuesday if anyone who actually listens, can make a decent salad, and can read a whole order is looking for a job.. I have not been to a Whataburger in about 15 years. After seeing the positive reviews on here I decided to give it a shot. I got a Whataburger w/ cheese (only ketchup, mustard, and pickles) and fries. The diameter of the burger is large but it's pretty flat. Tasted good- reminded me of a Sonic burger. I thought the fries were similar to McDonald's but not as salty. Pretty good meal overall. There are so many other good burger places out there, but I imagine I'll make it back here before another 15 years pass by. read more
