I had a DoorDash pickup order that I placed for myself. I went through the drive thru and asked about the order, they said to pull through. They opened the window no greeting at all shoved a bag at me,someone else's food, and slammed the window shut. I sat at the window for a long time before they came back to ask what the issue was. There were only three cars ahead of me on a Sunday evening. Service was very quick and the bag was packed very nicely and neat. As I know the burgers are cooked when you order, the slight delay in the line was very expected. The burger i ordered was quite tasty. It was perfectly dressed, not too much on it, but not too little. The fries were fresh out the oil. It was a basic burger experience, I didn't expect to be knocked out of the park, but I got much more than I expected. I did find it weird that I was asked if I wanted my change (just about 12 cents, but still...). I guess kids don't really use cash much anymore. I also was not given any napkins, but since i was heading home, that is fine and i used what I had at home. Had I been travelling, maybe that would have been an issue. read more

I've only been here 2 other times - the first time was not very good, but they had just opened and were constantly packed. The last time (some months ago) was much better. I had ordered a bacon cheese burger which was enormous and very fresh and tasty, and the bacon was even very crispy! After a long and busy week, I figured I'd treat my self to another one of those delicious burgers! Sadly, this visit was more disappointing than the first one The bacon was very limp and soggy. This was sad and honestly, a bit unappetizing. Didn't care to finish it. My food came out in a reasonable amount of time, but the fries were stale and cold as well as the burger. Obviously not at all fresh (based off temperature and texture). Might depend on who's working and when, but I don't eat here enough to be able to draw any accurate conclusions. read more

I was skeptical yet excited for a new Whataburger to come in BR. I imagined lines for days, so I planned to avoid the Burbank location for a few months. But my friends were dying to be a new customer along with everyone else. So with hesitancy, we came on a Thursday night and waited in the drive thru line. Trust me, it looks worst than it is! But, you shouldn't come if you're already hungry. I am a picky hamburger eater: meat and cheese only please! Yet the Whataburger staff got my order correct with zero issues and no rude customer service! My friends and I also tried the Dr. Pepper shake which wasn't too bad either. Why open a restaurant 24 hours a day if you're not going to provide at least average service? The two Baton Rouge locations offer terribly slow service with rude, unfriendly people, probably exhausted of running a restaurant staffed with maybe two crew members. I waited over 5 min for a biscuit until I asked for my money. The lady at the window finally told me they were out of biscuits and would take another 10-12 min. Never bothered to inform me! If I could've given them a 2.5/5 then I would've. I was so excited when they said they were opening one near LSU bc I work really late but it has been a let down. I've been when it is packed and when it is slow and either way it takes wayyyyyyy longer than it should. I got stuck in the drive through for 27mins one time with only 4 cars in line. I love this place and frequent here a lot for a quick breakfast that's cheap. I think the management here is struggling because I went (3/1/23) & they served me my coffee in a soft drink cup with a straw and it was not even luke warm to drink. Last night, March 7th 2022, I went through the worst fast food experience in my 22 years of life. I pull up to whataburger at 11:00 PM. I get in the right lane, I then realize the left lane appears to be moving and the right lane is not. I then notice only 1 worker is working in the left lane while zero are working in the right. Roughly 45 minutes go by until by the grace of god I get up to the menu to order. I am waiting for another 30 minutes at the menu calling for anyone who works there to answer and take my order so that I may have even the slightest glimmer of hope. Nope. The lady in the car behind me walked back to her car after going inside for 30 minutes to order and she told the workers that there were customers waiting and starving. By this point my level of hunger is reaching that of Ghandi. The lady behind me said that the workers essentially brushed her off and said "Okay". I have never witnessed such stupidity in my life I mean if someone would have told me over the speaker that they were working on it then that's one thing but nobody answered me for 30 fucking minutes. I cannot comprehend how dumb u truly have to be to run a fast food restaurant that terribly. I left around 12:15 with no food after pulling in at 11:00. I went directly to canes in which I ordered, payed, and got my food in roughly 3 minutes flat. To the Whataburger on Burbank, I truly hope y'all find a solution to this problem because last night was the biggest display of disrespect and incompetence I have ever seen in my life. I am giving this a 1-star review because I cannot give it a fucking zero. I would not trust y'all to take care of a hamster much less a fucking restaurant.
