I finally decided to take a change at this location, despite the reviews. Bad decision. My son and I put in an online order via the app. I will say the service was quick however, when he got back home with the food, I was highly disappointed. I ordered a strawberry malt but got a strawberry shake and they didn't even bother to mix it properly. I ordered a Whataburger Jr. Meal with small fries. I asked for regular ketchup, and barely got any on my burger. My son asked for extra ketchup on his burger (Jalapeño and cheese) and he got regular. I think my daughter was the only one who enjoyed her meal (chicken strips) except they forgot her medium fries. I'll stick to the one near Friendship Road (Lanier Island Pkwy). read more

Came here because my brother-in-law suggested it. He really wanted to try it and to see what the hype was about because the seem to be long lines on the weekend. Driving up to the drive thru we heard a very pleasant voice that announced herself as Kimberly. She was very cordial and possess that southern charm. We ordered 2 doubles and 1 double. 2 fries and 1 onion ring with 1 Fanta and 2 Prickly pear lemonade. Kimberly was thorough offering to omit condiments or add. I omitted mustard on the singles, I just wasn't in the mood for mustard, so I made a decision for my grandson. As we were driving off, I was prompted to go to google to specifically give 5 stars. When we got home to enjoy the burgers, sides, and drink, I found that I was not happy with my meal. I eat the onion rings first; they were scrawny with no substance to them. Like having no life, the fries were nothing to write home about. My single burger was cold and had a split in like someone had to check to see if the inside was cooked well done. My brother said the double was warm and juicy. All burgers had way too many onions. I was like somebody just did not know how much onions to put on the burger. It appeared that they had to figure it out but couldn't. The prickly pear lemonade was the bomb; I really enjoyed the drink and Kimberly did say that we would enjoy the drink. Went to get lunch . My wife ordered a burger with mayonnaise and ketchup, she got no mayonnaise or ketchup on her burger. . I ordered a patty melt with extra onions one piece of cheese , mustard, ketchup and mayonnaise. When my wife got her sandwich there was nothing on it. When I got mine it had two pieces of cheese so I sent it back . Waited 15 minutes for my next burger it had fried onions on it. So I returned it and ask for a refund. We look at the order ticket and nothing we ask for was on the ticket mind you she repeated the order twice to us . How she got it all of it wrong on the ticket is beyond me. Unless you did it purposely. Cause how can you repeat the order to us twice right but it is totally wrong on the ticket. Sad really . Ordered online today at 4:50 (Saturday) in Buford. Ordered cheeseburger w/everything including mayo, mustard, ketchup and regular onions, lettuce, pickles & tomatoes. Mine had NO ketchup, mustard or onions and maybe a teaspoon of mayo, cheese slice wasn't even melted at all, because the meat patty was cold. I ordered a Diet Coke and got regular Coke. I'm not sure what the hype was all about at this place... I was pretty disappointed. We can here on a Saturday afternoon and the pace was pretty busy. Service was not the greatest. As we waited in line no one greeted us and the person that took our order seemed like she didn't want to be there. The food was not was I expected. I really wanted to like this place but I didn't. The burgers were big and a good size portion but it was just a regular back yard burger. I don't like the fact that it they have chopped onions in the burger and it was over powered with mustard. However, my daughter did like the fries and their spicy ketchup sauce. I went to the restroom to wash my hands.. it annoyed me that they had no soap in the dispenser and no napkins. I know there are some low rated reviews out here for the Whataburger in Buford, but honestly my order is on point each time. My fries are always hot and so are my burgers. All the cashiers at the drive thru have been good, but I love the cashier Mariah. I enjoy when she's working because she is very pleasant and has great customer service skills. I also enjoy being serviced by mgrs Kari and Gigi. Store 1267 is my go to. I love the staff there. The others near the same area I'll usually by pass because the quality of my orders aren't the same nor is the customer service. Next time I'm going to take pictures of my orders. read more

No no no no... just keep going. It's as if they took a couple of lessons- not all of them- from CFA. There's a double line HOWEVER it leads to no where. We were in the outside lane and were told to merge towards the window. There are several cars ahead and behind that are parked two across and we have been told to navigate a sea of disgruntled people who have ordered and have been waiting prior to our arrival. We waited in line for 25 minutes and received four beverages about 7 minutes in. (We only ordered 3). We ordered three combos- a single with cheese and no mustard, a double absolutely plain, and a fried chicken absolutely plain. We received a single with cheese an a lot of mustard, a double with mustard oozing out of the wrapper like a Van Gogh painting, and a piece of chicken on a bun that could double as a Krispy Kreme donut it had so much mayonnaise on it. I parked- went inside with the items and said to the manager- you are having a bad night and so are we... can you fix these? He did quite quickly, to his credit. This is only my 4th time at a Whataburger. Each time I visited a location, it was in another state. I have been looking for the mushroom burger I had on my first order in Texas. I haven't been able to see it on any menus anywhere else. On this visit, i did try the avocado burger, which was delicious and plentiful. This is the new buford location. I was sent out to be the brave one to wait 1 hour in the drive-thru line on opening day. The employees took orders, and the line moved forward with no issues. Food came out hot/fresh fries crispy, lightly salted / ice cold drinks. Just like fast food should be. If service stays like this, it will make customers really happy. I placed a pretty big order to take back to family. Everyone ordered something different, i can say that the sweet and spicy burgers are now another Whataburger favorite. We enjoy a Whataburger whenever we can get one, and we are glad to have a location very close to home now. read more

First experience at a whataburger and it was just okay. Parking was easy with multiple available spots close to the door. My brother and I ordered a double burger and a double cheeseburger with jalepeno (#2 & #4). Since we got the meals, the burgers came with fries. We got sodas to go along with our food, a coke and a root beer. We dined in versus drive through to get the whole experience. We waited for a while to get our food. Once we got it, my brother and I were underwhelmed. Our burgers were cold and our fries were cold. The temperature of our food is why the rating is only a 3/5. This was a hard place to rate. It was hyped up so much, but fell flat. Think McDonald's and Hardy's had a baby. So first off, they were busy, but everyone was very polite and attentive and they were constantly restocking. For the burgers, we got a single with cheese and jalapeños and a single with bacon. There's just too much bun and not enough burger. The toppings were fine. The flavor was just ok. Nothing to write home about. We also got the chicken sandwich. More of the same. Just nothing special and too much bread. As for the fries, not the worst, but lukewarm and just ok once you dipped them in either ranch or spicy ketchup. So 2.5 stars is probably more appropriate but I can't do that. So three because service was good and food was just ok. Definitely doesn't live up to the west coast hype though. read more

The food once we received was good but after putting an online order through it took about 15 minutes to get acknowledged with my prompting. I'm definitely understanding of the fact that this is the new novelty in the area and everybody wants to give it a try. There was adequate staff on duty as there should be on a Saturday. It just seemed as if there wasn't adequate direction of people being put in the right place as the dining room wasn't as tidy as it could have been. I know managing young people can be a task, so I'm sensitive to the manager on duty and whatever struggles come with that role. I'll definitely continue to try again for improved service. This was my second time visiting this Whataburger. The first time I got a double burger I think it was fries and a drink. I love the fries they were seasoned well and they were the right size cut for me. The burger was a little dry but it was a good size. I would have liked better if it wasn't dry. I had breakfast this morning. I got the breakfast sandwich on a bun. It was sausage real egg and cheese on a bun. It was delicious. The sausage had a really great taste and the egg was perfectly cooked. Everything was really nice and hot. I will without a doubt be returning. This particular Whataburger, located in Buford, Georgia, is similar to many of the other Whataburger locations that I have been to. Whataburger was started in Corpus Christi, Texas back in 1950. It has since grown to about nine hundred locations. The service here was friendly enough and it looks like what you expect a Whataburger to look like and while Whataburger will never blow the world away with the quality and taste of their burgers, if you are a fan of Whataburger, you will be pleased enough with this location. I guess that I will opt to give it four stars when you take into consideration that it is fast food. read more
